WHAT?! Now you can create your own backgrounds in this watercolor paint coloring book. There's the characters from the movie Cars and the backgrounds behind are blank so that you can create your own, well, you know, and maybe try a little creativity with the cars. Give them a fresh new paint job and maybe some flames wouldn't hurt, just like Ramone, the king of body painting. I recommend this book to any kid who's ever had the imagination and creativity like Ramone to create backgrounds and give paint jobs.

My grandson put his fingers in the holes and tore this book up quickly. Tigger is his favorite so this book got a lot of his attention and abuse.

My daughter loved this book. It is a book that has simple pictures and bright colors that babies can enjoy. Then when they get older they are still able to enjoy learning from it. The transparent color pages allow them to learn that primary colors create other colors. We purchased it when she was a baby and she is still enjoying it at 4.

a book they'll sit still for

Review Date: 2000-07-26
There are lots of eye-catching books out there that we grown-ups love but our children don't sit still for. This is one book they like to look at -- they eagerly reach for the flap on each page and lift it, and help turn the pages (it's a board book so that's easy). It's not one of those books with complex contraptions -- wheels to turn, tabs to pull and push and misguide. Just simple flaps to lift up and put back down. Strongly recommended as a very first really-sit-down-and-read-it book. Similar to "Where's Maisy?" and that family of lift-the-flap books. Good to read to kids less than one year old.

Short and to the point - M! Words beginning with the letter M abound, as Mickey goes about his Magic Monday.

Bright images, thick pages, characters your children know and lots of M words make Who Will Mickey Meet another crowd pleaser from Disney.

Oddly, and few toddlers will actually notice this, Mickey's stroller seems to be self-propelled because there's no one pushing it in any of the pictures! Still, cute cute cute.

Pooh is talking about his eyes and asks the kids to look for their eyes in the mirror attached to the book. Lots of fun.

Enjoyable read...

It's got to be hard to condense a whole movie into a small format, but this author (Emmons) manages to do it with style and character. Told in the 1st person by the lion cub, the book gives everything from his point of view, which is an interesting change from the movie. The book wraps up the story nicely on the last page with a good lesson and a satisfying message. One of the better books in this category.

This book had a good match between the story and the illustrations, and I could point out where all the characters were and what they were doing while reading along in the book. It was fun.

Pooh, Piglet and Rabbit get tired of Tigger, so they try loosing him in the woods. They hide from Tigger, but they get lost as well, Rabbit goes by himself and gets super lost and Pooh and Piglet find there way home by listening to Poohs hungry belly. Rabbit decide in the end that he should just love his buds no matter how much they bounce aroung or get on your nerves.
