I use this text in an on-line undergraduate sport psychology course. Cox does a very good job of presenting research and application aspects of sport and exercise psychology. Students enjoy this easy-to-read text.

This is a MUST for all high school athletes (and their parents) who wish to pursue their sport in college. The books are available for a specific sport, for example: baseball, soccer, etc. Each year they are renewed and they contain the latest information on the (baseball) program at each college and university offering that program. They include the latest coaches' names and addresses. Better and faster than the internet!

As an avid sports fan this book is fantastic. I'm a a regular reader of Sports Illustrated and their sports photos are always top notch. This book gives you a nice way to have some of their best shots.

This is a book geared towards physicians who provide primary care for sports related injuries. After a summary of acute and overuse injuries, the book is organized anatomically: shoulder; elbow; hand and wrist; neck and back; pelvis, hip and thigh; knee; other leg injuries; ankle; and foot. The book covers diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of the injured athlete.

Although geared towards the primary care physician, this book is also useful for professionals who work with patients in rehabilitation: athletic trainers, PTs, Pilates instructors. It allows them to become familiar with the standard treatment protocols for sports injuries.

This is a very good book i ever read. Am a professional doctor. Few months ago i want to learn modern ways to handle sports injuries. I foud this book and purchases it. Its technically outstanding book. I start it reading i have completed it within 12 days. This is very very good material.

An amazing book for anyone interested in sports. Written by someone who has dealt with children's sports injuries extensively, the book provides detailed information on who should play sports, when, and how. Anyone with children should read this book, as it gives comprehensive information on not only sports, but overall health fitness. A unique book that discusses the side of sports sometimes ignored, from how a coach runs the team, to stress, and Psychological problems, and all the way through nutrition, and sports for the handicapped child. An easy to read, and understand book that all people (especially coaches) should take the time to read.
