Ray Hudson's memories of Unalaska and its people form a beautiful portrait of a time and place. As a former resident of Unalaska, I highly recommend the book. Although the community can no longer be called a village, the Aleut roots described in Hudson's tale are still there. And his deeply evocative descriptions of the land--one of the most remote and beautiful in the world, I'm convinced--are wonderful. The descriptions of everything from fog to wildflowers to stormy nights are moving and accurate. A definite must to anyone traveling to the Aleutian Islands--and a terrific travelogue for the armchair traveler..

As a former Montana girl, this calendar speaks to me. Definitely a must have for those homesick for MT.

This book has some superb photos of Montana landscapes, in all seasons. The Rockies. The badlands. Glacier National Park. Yellowstone. It's a feast for the eyes.

Very good information to learn how to garden in another state. This book also explains high altitude gardening along with some very excellent tips and alternative ways to garden naturally. The only thing I would change is all gardening for each month together instead of Trees with 12 months of monthly tips, then another section and another till all categories are covered.

This is a solid book about this artists work. Good image production and selection for what might otherwise be considered a small volume.

Illinois Issues, devoted to Illinois politics, has published its second edition of this collection of sketches of Illinois governors. A colorful and sometimes idealistic lot.
