Great book for moving from Beginner to intermediate Hobbiest

I'm still a New Saltwater hobbiest - and have read 4 Marine aquarium books and spent alot of time reading Online Forums. First two were fairly basic - and didn't cover much in depth. The 3rd book I read was " New Marine Aquarium " which is a great hands on - get started with your first FOWLR tank ( fish only with LIve Rock). It wasn't overly technical but is a crash course systemized ABC book in setting up a your fist FIsh Only tank without having to obtain a great depth of information about your new pets.

This book fills in alot of the gaps in information that have arisen and is very thorough without getting overly technical in terminology. I'm reading it cover to cover ( about 3/4 of the way read ) and will use it as a reference book. It's very readable in content.

Examples of what makes this book valuable over others.

* Live Rock - this book covers Live Rock soup to nuts. It goes in depth between Florida aqua cultured rock - vs Fiji Rock - vs Base Rock - vs Dead Rock - and goes in depth the differences along with pros and cons of each choice. The segment on Curing Live Rock is also quite thorough.

* Also covers the same with Sand - Live Sand that you purchase cultured online - vs Live Sand you buy in a bag - vs Dead Sand in a box. It covers the reasons along with Benefits of Argamax Sand vs Silica based sand that is always mentioned to avoid.

* This is the first book I've read that goes into Refugiums - what they are - what they do - what kindof choices / options are involved ( it's definitely more of an art than a science ). It covers Microalgae in depth - macroalgae - Mangroves - what ones are beneficial vs troublesome to a tank / and which are easier to maintain vs more difficult. What benefits each species offers and to what degree in your aquarium.

* The book covers Clams / pods / shrimp / sponges / crabs / urchins Snails / Starfish / Micro & Macroalgae / and much more - with enough information to understand how they fit in terms of benefit to your aquarium environment and what species make sense in a captive aquarium and why.

Bottom line - After putting this book down - I feel I have enough base of knowledge to make good decisions in setting up a system while avoiding many costly mistakes of basic restraints of trial and error. I still want to add a pocket guide on Fish and Invert species selection ( although this book is a good reference ) - and would like to add a book that covers info re: plumbing a Sump system and Coral Reference book. But this is a very thorough book for the subjects it covers.

I've been reading information penned by Mr. Calfo and Mr. Fenner online and was hoping this book would reflect the same wealth of knowledge and sense of humor I've come to expect. I wasn't dissapointed. If you're looking for information on selection, compatibility and geographical origin of many invertabrates for the reef aquarium this is the book to buy. As an added bonus there is a chapter dedicated to refugiums.

Absolute excellence

I have an extensive library of reef aquarium books, including all Sprung & Delbeek series. This book is beyond doubt the very best guide to reef inverts. It does not cover corals, anemones or, of course, fish. There will be future volumes for those topics. The authors provide extremely thorough coverage of the topic in an entertaining writing style. I anxiously await future volumes in this series. Highest recommendation.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I'm on a tight budget, so usually try to get a book through the library rather than buying, if possible. This one was not available, so I took a chance buying it. I'm soooo glad I did. There's an enormous amount of information. I will be referencing this book for years. I'm interested in raising macroalgae and dwarf seahorses, and compatible invertebrates. Everything is geared toward corals nowadays and live rock, neither of which are necessarily safe for 1 inch seahorses. I was thrilled to find a large section on macroalgae in this book. The focus is on using them for refugiums, but I easily adapted the techniques, including a deep sand bed, to my 2.5 gallon dwarf seahorse tanks. Start here for the easiest way to get incredible water quality in your tanks. The live deep sand bed with macroalgae technique in this book, keeps the approx 1.5 gallons of water in my tanks ammonia-free. Amazing. Also, explains which macroalgae go "sexual," so you can avoid purchasing the ones that may foul the tank (and which are often promoted and sold as the best to buy!). Thanks so much to Anthony Calfo & Bob Fenner - and for their website, too ([...]).

Gina Ogden's book "The Return of Desire" is one of the best books on women's sexuality that I have read. She covers so many aspects of what women need to know: the body, the emotions, the mind and the spirit of female sexuality. I can't wait to recommend this book to my women clients because it is informative, supportive, affirming and so readable. Gina's style draws you and makes you want to read more. Her wisdom and compassion are evident throughout the book.

I loved THE RETURN OF DESIRE by Gina Ogden and highly recommend it! It is a book women can find informative and helpful and interesting, no matter what their age. The examples she gives expanded my view of "normal." Gina Ogden is a clear, inspiring, enthusiastic and well-research author. I can't say enough for this book!

I must admit that I have become a fan of Dr. Gina Ogden, and her incredibly warm, helpful and well-received series of books on her sex research. The Return of Desire is the second of three books that she bases on her large survey of what women (and some men) really feel about sex. Following the highly respected The Heart and Soul of Sex, this time she fearlessly confronts head-on the profit-driven medicalization of women's sexuality, employing her unique holistic, positive approach to better understand the rich complexity of desire and sex. She counters the quantitative approach of most sexologists who just like to count organs and their, shall we say, intersection.

From the astounding number of her completed surveys - 3,810!, Ogden gained a nuanced and enlightening picture - one that reveals women's sexuality to be far more complex than the arithmetic of penile/vaginal penetration, one that embraces their physical, mental, emotional and, of particular interest to Ogden, spiritual lives.

Ogden's last chapter looks at "What Women Want," in the context of the belief that desire doesn't always bubble up spontaneously, but often requires "conscious preparation." Based on her decades of therapeutic experience and the richness of surveys that reflect real women's voices, Gina Ogden's The Return of Desire offers valuable, compassionate and joyous direction for women rediscovering or reinventing their sexual passion.

P.S. The book's cover features the sexiest fruit photo ever. Your daily apple will never taste the same.

Is there a 10 star rating? Because The Return of Desire deserves that and more. I purchased this book without any prior knowledge of Dr. Ogden, or her works, based on a general recommendation as a gem of a book. Now that I have finished my first book by Dr. Ogden, I am hungry to read every single thing she has written! The Return of Desire is about so much more than just rediscovering your sexual passion, it is about ALL facets of our tender, sexy, feminine, fragile, strong, luscious sensual, sexual self. This book is nourishment - through and through. A literary version of a much needed daily supplement vitamin for our wellspring of desires. I am now giving this book as a loving gift to all of my girlfriends. Keep em coming Gina Ogden! And thank you so very much.

I've had some theory classes on filtering and digital signal processing, but they always went right into the math to start with. Next they would provide a very simplistic example, then they would move to the next subject. This book goes the other way. It has a little bit of math and then goes into great detail on how to apply the math to a problem. Since most people don't spend their days doing math proofs, they need to solve a real world problems, this book has already done the heavy lifting by presenting applications of digital signal conditioning that can be used directly.

Yes everyone complains about the BASIC programing in the book, but that is not a big deal since the programs can be easily converted to your favorite code or simulation tool.

It is a joy to read.

I have BS in computer science and 8 years of S/W development experience in telecommunication industry. But my primary skill is protocol development and systems programming.

But as a music lover, as a musician, I've been interested in DSP technology for a long time and tried several times to get acquainted to the technology with no avail.

I guess the reason I failed is I couldn't understand the exact meaning of mathematical languages in DSP area.

I'm still in the middle of this book but now I can understand what the mathematical languages mean. The author is very precise using math languages and translate the language into easy plain english without missing any clarity and bravity of mathematical language.

I'm gonna keep working on DSP with this book as my hobby and finally when the time comes, all I gotta do is use my programming skill to develop a useful DSP S/W.

Good reference - and its free.

Its also free for download on the author's website, www.dspguide.com, and from Analog Devices website in their training materials area, [...].

This book tells everything you have to know about the mathematics to realise any signal processing application.
With the help of the examples (written in BASIC, I have some adapted into C) you can realize filters and signal synthesis/processing with FFT. There is no theoretical overhead.
With the help of this book I have developed a modem software within four monthes, without any basic knowledge in DSP.

All those memories came rushing back...

Before I encountered this wonderful book on the discount table of a bookstore one Friday evening, I had almost forgotten about Major Matt Mason, Callisto, Scorpio, and Captain Lazer, but as I turned the pages, all those memories came rushing back. Memories of a happy childhood, long before the worries and realities of adulthood ever began to set in. After looking at it for a long while that night, I not only remembered Major Matt Mason with great detail, I wanted to own some of those pieces again as a link with my past--and eventually did.

The book is thorough, well researched, and lavishly illustrated, but it could have been much better. It appears the pages were designed by someone who understands all the features of their desktop publishing system, but not restraint in employing them. Many images are of low-resolution, often with inaccurate and muddy color, which leaves fine details difficult to make out. The choice of a low quality uncoated paper stock doesn't help matters. While these shortcomings give the book a somewhat amateurish appearance, they don't detract from the value of the information--or the memories--contained inside it. The book is obviously a labor of love and should be accepted as such. I'm thankful that somebody has taken the time and effort to draw this information together in book form, because no one else has done so to the extent James Gillam has.

As a child of the 60's growing up in England, I was exposed to a lot of American popular culture and toys.
"Major Matt Mason" and "Zeroids" were some of my favourites. This book gives me an excellent reminder not only of what I had, but also stuff I never saw or even knew existed!
This book is well produced with magnificent colourful photos, but they are let down a little by the matte paper used for the pages that dulls their brilliance. Also, some images suffer from "the jaggies" caused by low resolution of the originals.
Likewise, the layout and text is often jumbled and there are some annoying factual errors.
Also, if the author had a rudimentary knowledge of 50's Hollywood monsters he would have recognised the inspiration for many of the Colorforms Outer Space Men.
Apart from these minor annoyances, this is the book I have been waiting for, for almost fourty years!
"Space Toys of the 60's" is worth every cent, even if only for the photos of the magnificent package and box art!
Those colourful boxes are always the first thing to be discarded by young hands too eager for adventure in space!

The Mighty Zeroids

This oversized, full color paperback is not a glossy coffee table book. Neither is it a collector's price guide. Instead it's an impassioned and informative discussion of three collectible toy lines: Major Matt Mason (Mattell's Man in Space), Colorforms aliens and my favorite, Ideal's Mighty Zeroids.

I read and learned a lot about the other two toy lines, but I used this book when buying a Zintar Zeroid on E-Bay (for only thirty times the original price of $5, which shows how rare they are). Before that I read the book over and over, looking at the photos and dioramas from catalogs. Gillam even includes pre-release pictures from wholesale toy guides of what these toys might have looked like, as well as extensive photos of alternate versions.

Interest in Matt Mason has never flagged, and Zeroids are once again coming into their own in the world of retro toys (see the Zeroid movie link under Robot Links at alivingdog.com). They represented a high point in Ideal's Motorific line of cars and later boats and cleverly ran on the same replaceable motor. Anyone interested in these three lines, or the history of toys, or just taking a trip down memory lane will enjoy this inexpensive and captivating book.

A Collector's Guide to Major Matt Mason, Mighty Zeroid Robots and Colorforms Outer Space Men. Veteran collector and author James Gillam details the story of toys inspired by NASA ventures into space.

SPACE TOYS OF THE 60's could have been the Major Matt Mason collector's dream come true. However, be warned that the quality of the paper and the image quality of the photos is not very good. I wish the publisher had done a much better job and creating some high quality images that I would want to look at over and over again. Looking at these pictures, as a substitute for expanding my collection, is not fullfilling.

All in all though, being the ONLY book out there right now with any information on Major Matt Mason, this is a pretty good book. At leaset it has photos of all of Mattel's Major Matt Mason - Man in Space figures, vehicles and buildings with detailed descriptions, construction and instruction sheets, product catalogs, collector's reminiscences, prototype information, and company histories.

If you can find a used copy for around $5 it's worth adding to the library as a reference.

This book is an exceptional resource for people who want to help prevent animal abuse. Mark Hawthorne offers clear, concise actions we can take in our every day lives that really do make a difference. And he reminds us that we don't have to sacrifice ourselves to the cause to be effective. In fact we are better advocates if we don't.

Informative, engaging, easy-to-read and inspiring. If you care about animals, read this book.

A 'How-To' manual for anyone looking to change the world.

I am so grateful for Mark Hawthorne's debut release, 'Striking At The Roots.' This book is essential for anyone who has observed an injustice in our society but wasn't sure how to approach the systematic eradication of the problem; Hawthorne provides strategies, testimonials, and practical advice for any fledgling or veteran activists who want to make the greatest impact on the world.

The oppression of billions of animals each year for food, clothing, and entertainment is one of the most pressing matters in the world today, and it's my hope that anyone who picks up this book will be inspired to take action to stop the egregious cruelty and abuse that exists in these animal industries. Furthermore, the skills and knowledge learned in Hawthorne's book can be applied to any cause for which one may take up arms: racism, sexism, heterosexism, etc. All struggles are one struggle, and Mark Hawthorne has written a book that will, hopefully, make those struggles a little less grueling.

A great resource for beginners and activists alike

"Striking at the roots" is an excellent guide for all those who want to act in defense of animals, without breaking any law. There are so many of us who feel they could contribute more, but have a hard time finding a practical way to do it. This book is extremely useful because it offers so many ideas and examples: there surely is one for you, too. Well written, smart, concise, pragmatic. Couldn't be better.

Sharpening Your Activist Skills

Striking at the Roots: A Practical Guide to Animal Activism, by Mark Hawthorne, is about walking the walk - and getting others to walk with you. The book, Hawthorne explains, is "intended for the person who agrees with the premise that animals are mistreated in our society, believes that the public has a moral obligation to speak out against this cruelty and who wants to be directly involved in opposing animal exploitation in its many forms." The book is "a guide to the most pragmatic opportunities available for speaking and acting on behalf of animals." Readers with busy lives are encouraged, "you can make a difference even if you limit your involvement to an hour a month."

Striking at the Roots shows how to become an effective leafleter, write publishable letters to the editor and opinion pieces, conduct successful protests and demonstrations, use vegan food to educate and win people over, engage in corporate campaigning, set up and run a sanctuary, shelter & rescue center, deal with the legal system, and engage in direct action - rescuing animals in order to experience directly and expose firsthand the atrocities they are forced to endure on commercial farms, in laboratories and other abominable places.

As for rescuing chickens from the filthy "broiler" sheds in which they are raised for meat, we're told that "nothing except firsthand experience could convey the utter despair a compassionate person feels at the sight of lame, feces-encrusted birds limping about and dead chickens, their ammonia-scalded breasts denuded of feathers, lying where they collapsed from inhumane breeding practices."

While most activists will not be directly involved in rescuing animals from factory farms and laboratories, Striking at the Roots shows the importance of keeping informed about these rescues and what they uncover, in order to provide credible and compelling content to one's letter writing and other advocacy on behalf of animals. Essential to being an effective activist are poise, self-confidence, knowledge, and persistence.

For example, I am quoted regarding rejected letters to editors and op-eds: "Over the years, I've published many guest columns about the plight - and delight - of chickens and turkeys. I've also written letters and op-eds that were turned down. Usually in such cases, I rework the piece and eventually submit it elsewhere with success. Also, it's good to establish a relationship with an editorial page editor. Not to ramble on and take up their valuable time, but a brief friendly phone call about your submission can increase your chance of being published, and you may be pleased to learn on occasion that the editorial page editor cares about animals and values your concerns."

Striking at the Roots stresses the importance of seizing opportunities to act and speak out locally - "don't overlook even the smallest neighborhood media outlets," activists urge. Local media want to know what is happening in their area. Often a protest demonstration is "a quite interesting and different story to what they normally may cover," stresses an Australian activist.

Striking at the Roots is not just for novices and the insecure. A good activist never reaches the point where ideas about activism are "preaching to the choir." Effective activism is about continuing education, not only of others, but of oneself. It's an essential part of the attitude that is needed to liberate animals and establish their rights.

This book is so helpful I carry it in our "Diaper" bag. (We actually use elimination communication so our baby hasn't used diapers since 11 weeks, but we still call it our diaper bag. See Potty Whispering: The Gentle Art of Infant Potty Training) I frequently pull this book out when my son needs a word. He is 19 months and knows about 70 signs. He even signs in his sleep (I wonder what he was dreaming the night he was signing "paper.") This is the most comprehensive signing book I have found. Lots of good kid words--like yogurt and cracker--that I couldn't find anywhere else. My biggest complaint about this book (and why only 4 stars) is the food words. It mainly has sweet based foods (and even signs for McDonald's.) There are limited fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods. So I also carry Fruits & Vegetables (Beginning Sign Language Series)Also, despite the great number of words in here, it is not totally comprehensive. It doesn't have the word "key." Every toddler loves keys so I'm not sure why that's missing. I'd love it if there was a website where I could recommend words for future editions.

For those of you uncertain about using sign as much as we do, it has really made having a toddler much simpler. He can tell stories about the time the dog had the bird in its mouth and we got the bird from the dog and took the bird outside. When he dropped his toy into a hole in the floorboards, his signing conveyed to me what had happened (since I didn't witness it.) When he got cactus thorns in his hands and was, naturally, screaming as I took them out, he signed "water." I got him a drink of water and he calmed down. Without the ability to make that request, he would have kept screaming (I never would have thought to give him water.) Some people have questioned if sign language at our level will delay speech. I asked a developmental pediatrician about that. She considers children who sign bi-lingual. Bi-lingual children often do have slight delays in their speech. However, the brain development that occurs is so beneficial that it is better for the children. At 19 months our son has his 70 signed words and about 20 spoken words. He spends much of each day repeating a verbal word he is just now learning (dishes is one of his favorites.)

My wife and I recently came back from a 2-week RV trip from Alaska exploring as far north as Chena Hot Springs and as far south as Seward and had a wonderful time. This guide book helped us tremendously on our journey because it was easy to use, accurate, and comprehensive. If and when we do decide to return to Alaska for another trip, we'll be sure to buy the same guide and the latest edition.

This is a very detailed book that gives a very good sense for the various campgrounds in Alaska. It provides phone numbers for most places, and we were able to call ahead to check availability and if the wash facilities were available and to check hours of operation. GPS locations are also given for each campground. It also lists some points of interest around the area of the campgrounds. This along with The Milepost were invaluable.

Is Gaia going crazy?

Review Date: 2006-07-22
Gaia doesn't know what to think as soon as she agrees with one of the Moore twins that the other is Loki, the other retracts it and gives her evidence of the contrary. So when Oliver once again puts evidence against her father Gaia just accepts it. So when Oliver offers her a fear treatment to reverse the 'fear serum' her father gave her as a child Gaia is all for it. Only she isn't just feeling fear she is terrified and going crazy. Ed doesn't know what to think of her. Her father rescues her from Loki and leaves her with Natasha and Titiana whom Gaia doesn't trust at all so she leaves and wonders around New York City like a mad woman having visions of all the people she's seen die being killed again. The one vision that gives her the most trouble is Josh. She saw him die and now in her visions there are three of him and it is inconsistent with her other visions. Now they are terrifying her and she doesn't know the difference between what's real and what's not.

Filled with various plot twists that will keep readers reading long into the night...

Even though her father and uncle are twins, Gaia has always had the ability to tell the two of them apart. Not anymore. For her father and uncle are no longer different people. They've finally morphed into one evil person. Both of them have the same plan: to destroy Gaia, and use her as nothing but a lab experiment. Fine, well they can have each other, because Gaia isn't taking this lying down. But when Loki injects a powerful medicine into Gaia's system, that's the exact way she must take it, because now she's plagued with psychotic episodes. Ones that are making her see dead people, and bringing back her friends who have passed away, making her suffer through their torturous deaths over and over again. Gaia can't seem to figure out what's wrong with her. All she knows, is that she must put her finger on it quickly, otherwise she'll be in a padded room wearing a straight-jacket, and she'll never get to reveal her true feelings for Ed, or figure out what the two new strangers in her life: Natasha and Tatiana - people claiming that they are related to her mother, but Gaia doesn't trust them.

Francine Pascal has come up with many twists and turns throughout the FEARLESS series, but none have keept my attention as much as the sickness in TWINS. Pascal has woven psychotic episodes into this tale, making Gaia even stranger than before, and even makes her have a few moments where she actually has "fear." However, it is the developing relationship between Ed and Gaia that is sure to please longtime readers. Yes, TWINS features a lot of one-on-one interaction between the two "friends," and adds quite a cliff-hanger at the end to see where their relationship will go. Without a doubt, TWINS is one of the most enjoyable FEARLESS book in the series thus far, complete with clones, psychotic episodes, and a dash of romance, that will keep readers reading long into the night.

ok, i always knew that ed and gaia were meant for each other...and now i am just overwelmed with the connection between them. ed was always there for her. so, if you love ed and gaia together as much as i do...you will absolutely LOVE this book. #19 is definately the best i have read of this series so far and it will leave you completely satisfied. although, there is a little bit of a cliffhanger. hehehe.

I have just finished the number 19 book and have immediatley started to read 20 but i can't understand how Gaia can change her feelings like that so quickly. I mean Gaia was suppose to be in love with Sam... rite. I just think that it is a bit to quick a change, Sam and Gaia were meant to be together and although he was killed it still think Ed cant change those feelings very easily. Email me ClaireLouise504@msn.com if u wana talk about this. I an a bit confused on this subject.

this series is getting tiring

gaia has grown up not knowing fear. so when her uncle loki gives
her the opportunity to learn fear through an injection that his
scientists have been working on, she jumps at the opportunity. my
will gaia never learn not to trust everything at face value? uncle loki has his own sinister plans and they are as usual no good for gaia. this book is not one of the better ones of the series. i think pascal has run out of ideals and keeps going around in circles. this series needs some new life to it desperately.

This is an amazing read, I couldn't put it down. I now feel that I actually KNOW Paul, Peter, and all of the TRUE apostles in a personal way. To then read Pagan Christianity as a follow on has been enlightening to say the least. I thought I understood more than I did but am now delighted to feel so much more properly informed, with better understanding about the letters written, when and why. I fully reccomend it.

Brilliant book-Frank does it again! After reading the other reviews there isn't much left to say apart from the fact that after reading this you will find that you understand and empathise with all the people in the New Testament so much more-they literally spring to life as you read through. You will understand WHY they did and said the things that don't seem to make much sense to us in the 21st.Century.Can't wait to meet them!(well most of them anyway)
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to write it.

This book presents some information that is more than valuable for His true church. I really recommend reading this book and the others by Frank Viola. Hope it doesn't hurt your denominational feelings but, instead draws you to Christ.

I had bought the other book - Pagan Christianity - from the author and I thought it was the best until I picked up this book. Truly an awesome book. If you had been confused regarding the epistles regarding the context, background, etc -- this book is for you. It tells a story (story from Acts) and takes you through the entire New Testament in order (except the Gospels because that is totally different work). After reading this book, you will look at the epistles in a totally different way.

The thing I liked about this book is that it included not only history and background to properly understand the context for the epistles on why, how and when they were written but also the fact that this book acted like a little workbook -- in a sense that author would give you details regarding a particular place, writer, context and would actually tell you to go read the epistle, which I found very very helpful. Five stars to this book, buy it and read it - you can't go wrong. You will see what I mean...

I thought this book was a helpful resource in light of my diagnosis of Crohns. This is the first book I have read on the subject, and I get the feling my case is much less serious than the case of the author, but the recipes overall sound good and I appreciated the sections on vitamins.

Very Helpful.

This is a very helpful book for persons with IBD/IBS. It is easy to read and understand and so far the recipies that I have tried are very good too. I would recommend this book as a good place to start in learning how to deal with IBS. It makes a lot of sense and has been helpful for me.

I purchased this book for my 83-year-old mother, recently diagnosed with Crohn's. While the recipes are practical and easy to use, the clear discussion of the symptoms and implications of the diesease, and the tips on how to talk to your doctor about your symptoms and how to improve nutrient absorption, etc. are very helpful. It includes a discussion about the various types of treatments with drugs, diet, and surgery with all of the pros and cons of each. Highly recommended for families of patient as well as for patient.

When my mother was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, I found this book extremely helpful. Not only does the author have ulcerative colitis herself, but she shares her knowledge as a professional. Recipes, rationale for what to eat and what not to eat; recommendations for nutritional supplements and specific vitamins are found within the pages of this informative book. This is a wonderful resource for anyone who has been diagnosed with or is caring for someone with IBD. I refer to this book almost daily!

Too general and not comprehensive

I've had ulcerative colitis for four years, and a few months ago I set my mind to getting myself off the medication while following proper diet. In the process, I purchased each book I found that dealt with IBD or healing through nutrition and gave their arguments a try. I found that there are many good books out there, but this is not one of them. Yes, it is simple and easy to follow, but is also lacking in so many things. First, the foods that the author recommends for healing include soy and wheat, which are problematic for many patients with IBD. Most people would recommend avoiding soy during an inflammation, period. More importantly, the author does not provide a holistic approach to healing the body as she only focuses her attention on diet. Dietary changes are very important, but so are other things that one can do to reduce stress and rest the body. I'd recommend David Klien's Self-healing Colitis and Crohn's, or even Breaking the Vicious Cycle which has it's own cult-like following.
