This modern crime thriller had real pace from the first to last page. By combining very different locations (Jamaca, South London and Scotland in grip of winter) and colourful local characters Robertson managed to create a number of very memorable images in a tightly written story.

The novel raises some thought provoking social issues about our multi-racial society. It does so very much in the context of the plot so that this is not a distraction but a logical sub-text.

The novel left me keen to know more about how the main characters develop in future.

This is a rare work by a gifted author, one who is able to juxtapose the wisdom of the Hindu tradition with the traditional Judeo-Christian framework most readers will bring to his work. The book not only tells you about Hinduism, but is an example of how Hindu religious ideas and practices can speak to those of other religious faiths. It is the work of a scholar and there are certainly elements which reveal the author's expertise in Hinduism. Yet the book is true to its title, Hindu Wisdom For All God's Children, and the author is successful in making pearls of theological wisdom from the East accessible to the average reader in the West. Beautifully written.

What a surprise this one was. I picked it up because it contained chapters on a few of my favourite actors, like Robert De Niro, Sean Connery, and Marlon Brando. I expected little more than a bathroom reader. I was wrong. The book also contains glorious biographies of each performer (fifty actors and fifty actresses). I also found Mr. Feeny's introduction to be quite interesting. The author also included a nice, enlightening essay about his selection process, while damning Hollywood in the meanwhile. This is a fun book that includes tons of fascinating minutae about 100 of the greatest performers in the history of cinema.

The book "A Horse For X.Y.Z." may not have been a best-seller, but it is an amazing book nonetheless. It is about a girl named Solvieg Nilsson, who longs to not be an ordinary girl in the middle of the alphabet. She wishes she could be named Xeina Yseult Zilch and be someone special. When she sneaks off the camp bus for a ride on the prized horse Snake Dancer, she finds out that the bus is not going to return for her, that Snake Dancer is a stolen horse and must be returned to his real owner, and that even though she's not Xenia Y. Zilch, she's the only one who can do it. This book is filled with humor; Solvieg's own biting sacasm aimed at herself will keep you laughing. This is a book for anyone who likes horses, humor, and ever wanted to be a hero.

Nothing to say... This book is just awesome! If you want to study about the process of this architect... and analyzing it... you must buy this book, well maybe kind of hard to find it now but yo! its worth of looking around even with high price

read the book in a linear fashion, but one can. I personally enjoy the non linear experience. The combination of ink on the page with the pixels on the monitor
creates a robust experience. One begins to understand why Time picked Amerika as one of the top 100 innovators.

This book helped me set up my Mac OS X Panther so much. All the instructions are very clear, along with the example pictures. This book explains everything in OS X Panther, along with some other stuff such as iChat, iMovie, iPhoto, etc. Overall, this book has made my OS X Panther... ALIVE!!!

This is my first computer. It was great to find a manual with illustrations especially for me and my computer! I plan to wear it out...
