This book is absolutely amazing. Before I read it, I hadn't a clue about what so-called "XIE" was or what you could do with it. Now, after reading this masterpiece of a work, I still don't know much about it, but I'm developing my very own imaging applications and making a lot of money -- in little time! Thanks Syd Logan!

This is the best in the differential diagnosis genre. It assesses the whole body, making CNS and Head and Neck comprising almost half of the book. Organ systems are evaluated, with lesions classified by location, configuration, density, calcification and enhancement pattern among others. The format does follow the classic tome written by Dr. Eisenberg.
The ultrasound differential diagnosis textbook in this series is also highly recommended. The MRI differential book is not up to par of its brethen, however.
This book should be available near all CT reading monitor.

Excelent for a quick review with a lot of images and essential text. A "must have" in your radiology room.

This book is must for process engineer esp. engineer in Petroleun and Refinery business. Written in very lucid manner shows the author is not only technically competent but has extensive experience in the industry. His book on " Distillation Operation" is also highly recomended.

This one book, and its brother, "Distillation Operations," seem to capture all the theoretical and empirical knowledge of vapor-liquid separation in two tidy volumes. I just don't see how Henry Kister can top this with his new book, "Distillation Troubleshooting." Donald Schneider wrote an excellent review of this book for Amazon. When you buy "Distillation Design" take "Distillation Operations" as well. If you must choose, pick "Distillation Operations." However, if you do, you will miss some excellent design information. "Distillation Operations" describes several mis-steps in commissioning and operating columns.

"Distillation Design" is divided into tray columns and packed columns. Each section begins with theoretical development and ends with empirical data. Where else can you expect to find methods to compare different random packing or estimates for stage height? As an engineer experienced in packed tower design, I found his descriptions of different classes of packing very useful. He took the point of view of a historian on this subject allowing the reader to follow the development of random packing from the raschig ring through to modern packing.

How do these volumes compare to other references such as Ludwig's "Applied Process Design?" Ludwig is excellent but it is more difficult to find what you need. Kister's two volumes are more specific and slightly easier to follow. Consider Ludwig's book later when you are designing nuts and bolt details of columns. For case histories, and basic knowledge of vapor-liquid separation, you can't beat "Distillation Design" and "Distillation Operations."

If you don't have this book on your shelf you should. If you are just starting out in the business, and can't afford both volumes, buy "Distillation Operations." But, if you will be involved directly in the design business, as I am, buy both volumes.

I thought this book was hilarious. It confirmed what I always suspected about my husband's views on my pregnancies. I think this is a funny book that would be a perfect gift for any couple who is expecting a baby and want to maintain a sense of humor about the whole experience.

The Dysfunctional Father's Guide to Pregnancy Birth and Babies

This is a really funny book. I loved the chapter on the fertility clinics, birth classes, changing diapers, and getting a vasectomy. Actually, the entire book was funny and the illustrations are great.

It would make a perfect gift for the much ignored pregnant father

Excellent text book with a ton of information about latin american culture, people, and history. Really pushes you to excel.

This is a fast moving story that combines humor, romance and tragedy. I laughed and I cried and I hated to see it end. The characters are well developed and I got very attached to them. I sincerely hope that there is a sequel!

This book has something for everyone. A little Science fiction, a little romance, and lots of great humor! The characters are people you can relate to. Ok... except maybe Rose. I Can't wait to read the next one.

I Love this series and the two main characters.

In Awakenings, the first novel of the the I Found My Heart in San Francisco series, we met Ryan O'Flaherty and Jamie Evans, juniors at the University of California at Berkeley.

I was completely delighted to see this novel in print. Excellent writing, perfectly paced plot, lovable characters, as well as characters you can come to loathe. I was riveted to every page and didn't want to put the book down. I always hold off opening this author's novels until first thing Saturday morning so I can read as much as possible in the next 48 hours.

The two main characters, Jamie and Ryan, are as endearing as ever (I just can't get enough of them) - as well as passionate and very sexy. In addition, their extended family and group of friends are endlessly interesting. The author explores them thoroughly so that the reader gets to know them as well as we do Jamie and Ryan.

In addition to a great plot the humor is laugh out loud funny. The author, who I thought was perfection in her other novels, All That Matters, Cherry Grove and Arbor Vitea just keeps surprising me with one hit novel after another.

I couldn't want more (already looking forward to re-reading it) and yet I am clamoring for the next novel in this series.

This is a Keeper!

I think any person who major in target tracking system related to the Kalman filter must see this book. This book present the fundamentals of state estimation theory and the tools for the design of state-of-the-art algorithms for target tracking.

The book covers the basic concepts and estimation techniques for static and dynamic systems, linear and nonlinear, as well as adaptive estiomation. This constitutes a one semester graduate course in estimation theory in an electrical/systems engineering program.

The discussion deals mainly with discrete time estimation algorithms, which are natural for digital computer implementation. The basic state estimation algorithm-the Kalman filter-is presented in discrete as well as in continuous time. The use of the estimation algorithms is illustrated on kinematic motion models because they reveal all the major issues and in particular the subtleties encountered in estimation, and this serves as an introdution to tracking.

Guidelines for tracking filter design-selection of the filter design parameters-are given and illustrated in several examples.

At the end of each chapter, a number of problems that enhance the understanding of the theory and the connection of the theoretical material to the real world are given.

I don't usually write online reviews but this book is so clear and useful that I really want to recommend it to others. It is well written with a good outline and summary for every chapter. It also has a pretty diverse range of topics on estimation, including an introductory chapter on basic estimation approaches (e.g., ML, MAP, least squares), and very practical extensions (e.g., state augmentation, square-root filters). Even though I am not in EE and some of the examples are thus not particularly helpful to me, I still find this book one of the best of all the estimation/Kalman filter books out there.

This book was a mind blowing experience. I am not much of a reader and I could not put this one down, I can't wait for part duex! X.J. Storm - thank you!

But when they do, they change your life. X.J. Storm's debut novel reads like the work of a seasoned pro. This book is bewildering and will no doubt be regarded as an inspiration to future writers. An outstanding achievement in fiction!
