"Fat Chance At Last!...How to Go Beyond Willpower" is a chance-of-a-lifetime available to readers for a Healthy, Well-Balanced, Have-It-All Lifestyle!

In today's healthcare quagmire it is exciting to find a book that truly puts together so much practical, usable information, and provides so many logical insights into balancing the body for optimum health. Although the primary message in "Fat Chance At Last!..." is toward weight control, it becomes apparent that weight control falls naturally in place when the body is balanced. The escalating costs of health care and the uncertainty of mixed messages from special reports certainly have created the desire in every individual to responsibly take charge of one's own health with the best "assurance" available. "Fat Chance At Last..." will be a book that one will value and use as a reference book for years to come.

Eileen Silva, a nationally known Metabolic Specialist, has created "Fat Chance At Last!..." a book unique for its ability to successfully incorporate a variety of disciplines for the educational edification of the reader. In very down-to-earth terms Ms. Silva takes the reader by the hand and reveals why individuals may suffer from: a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde personality; obesity and weight gain; afternoon fatigue; gas, bloating, bowel irregularities; headaches, joint or muscle aches; addictive behaviors and premature aging, to name a few.

Just reading the Table of Contents will excite the reader of all the potentialities in the book. From the first chapter (which includes a Body Fitness Profile for personal application) to the last (a summation of HOW YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL) the reader will be amazed at how quickly one becomes fascinated by the explanations of how and why the body may react with certain foods, emotions, parasites, stress and more. Through- out the book there are easy-to-read instructional / informational charts and illustrations. Formulas and protocol for creating and maintaining a healthy, balanced body show how it can be done.

This is a book that could be picked up at any time and read randomly for specific topics. However, it will soon become apparent that one may be missing something important, written in a previous chapter. To save time, start at the beginning. The insights absorbed will become one's own "inner" knowledge. "Fat Chance..." is liberally laced with humor, philosophies and plenty of "aha's". The information gained can be put to use immediately. It's a page-turning, easy read!

The case histories and research in this book add to the book's value for "aware" medical practitioners, as well as the intelligent lay-person and fitness counselor. "Fat Chance At Last!..." is endorsed by a stellar group "Who's Who" of Doctors and Fitness Professionals. Eileen Silva refers to her book as "User Friendly". It is indeed that and more; it is an "essential" book for your library. If you have been in search of a natural, drug-free way to better health, here it is...At Last!: "Fat Chance At Last!..." by Eileen Silva

This book is excellent especially if you are doing genealogy research and some of your ancestors lived in Windsor and/or Detroit. The ferry steamers allowed Canadians to work in Detroit. The trip cost about 10 cents. My grandmother who was born in 1876 was a Canadian who married in 1903 my grandfather, a Detroit fireman. It puzzled me how they met when they lived across the Detroit river. Now I know. If you like history and boats, you will love this book. Doris Fleming

Natalie is beautiful and bright. Her life, however, is going nowhere, and she's running out of time. She has a brilliant scam in mind that will hurt no one, but to work it, she has to have a last name that begins with T. One day a repairman comes to her flat to cut off the gas for non-payment, a loser (who lives with his mother and collects reptiles) named Colin Taylor. So Natalie marries him. But the scam does hurt people. In fact, it causes awful tragedy.

Deborah Moggach writes from such a deep understanding of her characters and with such acute observaton it's almost painful.

When Dr. Jack Hunt moves from Ireland to a new job at a Chicago hospital, he believes it will be the upward career move he's been looking for. But despite his groundbreaking research in cardiology, he doesn't seem to mesh with the right people, probably because he's not the kind of man who compromises. As far as Jack's concerned, it's his way or the highway. So when a bullet meant for him kills his boss instead, Jack might not have been the best man to fill the dead man's shoes, because he doesn't understand the commercial realities of clinical medicine, but he got the promotion and a hefty three hundred grand a year to go with it.

When he cancels all hospital deals with drug companies, it comes at a bad time for the hospital, because they'd just made a deal with Zemdon, a multinational drug company, to help launch its new cardiac wonder drug, Cyclint.

Now he's really made somebody angry, his son is assaulted, his car is trashed, a researcher at the hospital dies mysteriously and then Jack fails a drug test and is finally fired. But he doesn't take it lying down, he decides to take on Zemdon and finds that exposing them is going to put him in the fight of his life.

Final Duty is a medical thrilling page-turner that I liked very much.

Hi,everybody! I'm an Italian musician, living in Milano, and now that I found this book I'm also the happiest... When this mistery was published I lived in Genoa and I was trying to improve my poor English reading stuff that promised to be easy to understand:comic strips like "Steve Canyon", "Terry and the Pirates", and mistery books, like "I,the jury" and...guess what? But "Fire will freeze", obviously!Spring was busting out all over but that undoubted miracle was not sufficient to make me happy, because some shmoock had torn off the last ten pages of the book , those with the solution of the puzzle! The year was 1956, that is fifty years ago!Now I'm sixtyfour (born on the 8th of August 1937, same day , month and year Dustin Hoffman joyned the Big Party, but any country has what it deserved...)and finally got my book, and you dare asking me a honest review about my personal chase, a case of do or die? Come on, gentlemen, be serious!: what else than top rating? So thanks for the chance you gave me and..pardon my English!

Public Relations expert Charmian Sinclair strongly believes that variety is the spice of life. She has a different married lover for each day of her London work week except Friday (that is a travel day). There is Dominic for every Monday; Tuesdays are set up for Gervase; Nigel comes calling every Wednesday; and Thursdays belong to Gerald (up until his collapse). On weekends, she retreats to Sussex to spend time with Giles Hayworth. However, even that lifestyle begins to bore Charmian especially when Giles falls in love with someone else.

Charmian switches paradigms when her brother-in-law Oliver Curtis, is viciously and unfairly fired from his job at Circumference. While her half-sister Alexandra consults Mrs. Hemingway, a clairvoyant, Charmian decides to personally avenge this unfair action comitted by the Circumference CEO Reg Spivey. Using her lovers as unwitting conduits into the banking world, Charmian soon discovers a corrupt, amoral environment that destroys anyone in its way, including a charming heroine.

FLOWERING JUDAS is a brilliantly written satire laughing at contemporary adult fairy tales such as PRETTY WOMAN. Charmian is wonderful character, whose interplay with the rich and famous is refreshing and fun. Elizabeth Palmer scores big time with this comical novel of mis-manners among the English elite.

From the back of the book:
She has no desire to share her life

Susanna was pleased with her life. As a successful commerical artist, she made good money that enabled her to enjoy a comfortable life-style in London. Her mother and her friends had given up careers when they married, and Susanna had no intention of ever doing likewise!

But when Niall Ardrey burst into her life, accusing her of harboring his runaway sister, she was overwhelmed by his devasting masculinity. Despite her fiery resistance, she know she was fighting a losing battle.

For a man like Niall would never accept half measures.

My take:
Okay, I really really really enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone who likes to read HP presents novels. The hero and heroine meet because the hero's much younger sister runs away with the heroine's brother. Charlotte threw us a curve ball this time in that the heroine, Susanna, is a feminist. Now Susanna is not the type of blowhard feminist who goes about waging her finger in the hero, Niall's face, she simply goes about her life the way she sees fit. Susanna refuses to give up her work and be a "MOM" who lives her life for her husband and children. She has seen to many women become bitter playing the martyr role. Even after Naill confesses his love for her, Susanna tells him that she can't be the type of wife that he would like because she refuses to give up her job and she enjoys her solitude. Naill who is deeply in love Susanna, assures her that he will not take over her life, adding that he is often away for work so she will not feel smothered by him.

Things you may or may not like about this book:
1. Heroine is a feminist and nobodies doormat.
2. Heroine has a career which she loves and is doing well for herself.
3. Hero is described as big and muscular-my type of man *wink*
4. Hero tells heroine she "is not even pretty". Hero deserved a dirty slap for that.
