A great idea, and a great product. Pretty much any knot you will need for fresh or saltwater fishing, and in a format that fits nicely in a pocket or tackle bag without worry of ruining it with water. For me, the only thing that would have made it better would be a BIG PRINT version! ;-)

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LOVE TO FISH BUT BEING A WOMEN THE MEN ON CHARTER BOATS WOULD LOOK AT HOW I SET UP MY LINE AND I WANTED TO BE GOOD AT FISHING BECAUSE I LOVE TO BE OUT ON THE BOATS. MY LOSS OF HOOKS AND WEIGHTS WAS SO MUCH BEFORE I READ THIS BOOK BUT NOW I DO NOT LOOSE ANYTHING AND I CAN NOW BRING IN THE BIG FISH JUST LIKE THE BEST OF THE MEN ON THE BOATS. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A BOOK LIKE THIS IT WAS VERY EASY TO LEARN FROM. :)

I love this guide! The information provided is incredibly personal, and is also very open and honest. I am leafing through 4 of these guides in order to find my perfect college, and each of them, although laid out very similarly, have very different information about the schools. I definately recommend these books. A+

I was introduced to the script in my drama class a few months earlier and I was blown away. Lanford Wilson's grasp of the intense racism and emotions surging through each character is extraordinary. The Gingham Dog is a realistic portrayl of a nasty separation between Gloria (a black woman) and Vincent (a white man) because of fierce prejudice and opposing morals. It is an emotional rollercoaster that plays at heartstrings and leaves the reader with a better understanding of their own mistakes and views on racial, economic, personal, and familial relationships. A simple elegant moving piece to be read by anyone who happens to come across it.

Hi all,

I know a printed manual about how to not use paper must seen like a bit of a contradiction.

But this manual is being printed on demand only.

And this book (which is also available as a Kindle download and as a PDF eBook at computershy.com) has the potential to save *a lot* of trees.

During my research for this book, I realized that most of our printing is not really necessary and that our Mac computers can help us avoid most of the printing that might otherwise be a necessity.

Go Green! provides step by step instructions for using your Mac to run a paperless business or home office. You may also be surprised just how well suited Mac computers are for business applications.

Feedback is most welcome. Thanks for your interest in this crucial subject!

Mike

Now it can be told! The author weaves together the stories of three men-two Germans of Second World War vintage, and a lame Navajo Ph.D., many years younger-to tell how the Soviet empire crumbled. The story is plausible and fast-paced, the characters well-drawn. And the author leads us into some strange and unfamiliar corners of the world-exploring, as we go, relations between the American army in Germany and their hosts, buzkashi (the world's most violent sport), and the last phase of the Soviet disaster in Afghanistan.

Good reading. Action-adventure for the thinking man and woman.

Barbara Dixon really breaks it down. I had changed my diet a few years ago because of my concerns about the heart disease that runs in my family. This book covers the history of diseases and other health issues with African-Americans. I've ordered this book for several of my family members to read as well.

I have lived and traveled in Asia for over ten years. Foods here are fantastic but not always healthy (too much oil, MSG, salt, etc.) but they are delicious and unique. Another problem is finding the proper ingredients to demystify the making or recreating at home the unusual culinary experience you reminisce about and can't quite explain to your friends or family so far away when you visit or return back home who have never tasted it first hand. Another problem is that all the books you can find on the subject (Asian Cooking) are too gourmet oriented to be able to prepare the featured dishes easily (I'm a man and not a chef so cooking is not my forte). Whether you have lived or travelled here in the Orient, this book can help you create the experience easily *from scratch* (no exotic searches for odd ingredients) and the book is oriented (no pun intended) toward health with low cholesterol, low sodium, low fat, low calorie considerations. It is a from the ground up, everyday living, you name it's in there, type of book. The author lived in Thailand and Asia from a seemingly "Lonely Planet Guidebook" type perspective rather than the usual rich businessman's wife, expat in Asia with a fat paycheck and imported food shipped in from the "home country." She has lived IN the culture and not just observed it from the outside or surface level. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. She also adds the romanized words of the original language names of the dishes along with the Western names or meaning of the dishes' names in English. The book is broken down with indexes by country and indexes by food category (such as soups, vegetables/salads, rice/breads/noodles, etc.). From scratch curry powders and pastes, and from scratch tandoori sauces! Countries covered: Japan, Korea, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India and Pakistan. Don't miss this book!

How I ended up being the first to review this book is beyond me. I would've guessed that many a learned architectural scholar would've long since sung the praises of this wonderful book. I, however, am just a layman with a lifelong passion for Gothic cathedral architecture, which started in the Washington National Cathedral and became educated, at least partiallly, in this book.

I consider Wilson's "The Gothic Cathedral", a 'must own' for anyone who has ever felt a yearning to know more about the soaring arches, brilliant glasswork, and impossibly high, vaulted ceilings of these magnificent medieval structures. This book, details the development of this unique form of architectural artistry; beginning with it's modest antecedents in Romanesque architecture and the groin-vaulted churches of Normandy and England and continuing through even the most elaborate and extravagant versions of late-Gothic throughout Europe. Mr. Wilson moves the reader, comfortably and comprehensibly through the chronological development of Gothic architecture, while neatly detailing the differences in coincidental development in several diverse geographic regions. Even I, with no formal architectural education, can now explain most of the finer points of Norman Romanesque, French High Gothic, and the Rayonnant styles of architecture, as well as explaining the odd metamorphisis of the English Decorated style into the very uniquely English, Perpendicular style.

The text is brilliantly cross-referenced with the illustrations, diagrams and photographs, which are both descriptive and beautiful, despite being all black and white. Finally, the glossary, index, and bibliography are complete and very helpful. If you think you MIGHT like this book... you will. Buy it.

Superb Review of Great Architectural Monuments

Christoper Wilson's "The Gothic Cathedral: The Architecture of the Great Church, 1130-1530" is a superb survey of cathedrals and large European churches constructed across four centuries, not only filled with an incisive text but also wonderfully illustrated with hundreds of diagrams and exquisite photographs. It is true that the photos are only black-and-white so the reader cannot wholly grasp the glory of stained glass windows, but the photographs nonetheless render the Gothic architectural features and details with great clarity. This combination of excellent text and superb illustrations makes Wilson's book ideal for either close, intensive study or simple joyful browsing. I cannot imagine that anyone who appreciates glorious Gothic architecture would not find Wilson's "The Gothic Cathedral" not only a valuable but also a necessary addition to his or her library.

As a nursing student in the early 80's I used the 4th edition of Govoni and Hayes. Now it's almost 2007, and I still refer to that battered copy of the 4th edition. Why? Because besides offering complete info. regarding what a medication is for, dosing, adverse effects, etc., there follows extensive notes on what nurses find useful in administering and monitoring the drugs. Consulting a PDR and then learning "real world" information about what to watch out for and what to avoid doing makes a better informed caretaker or consumer. Even though Edition 8 is out of date, it's the last G&H that will be published, and I plan to purchase it!

The most useful book for care plans and practice.

The detailed nursing implications of each drug make the monitoring of patient care for side effects and interactions more reliable and complete. The listing of interactions with other medications is a valuable tool. This book explains in nursing language the physiological action and use, gives details of adverse reactions and what to look for, as well as drug absorption and interference with diagnostic tests. A valuable tool for care planning and client teaching.
