Mr.Wilson is an incredible writer.
I highly recommend his books. His main character Link Anderson is wonderfully written, as with all the other characters. This book is a page turner!
Mr.Wilsons writing I feel is in league with Cussler and Ludlum. I also think this book would make a wonderful movie

I've read all of Tom Wilson's books. They just keep getting better and better. Desert Fury is first rate adventure fiction. An intricate and believable plot, a real life hero, and a little romance make this quality fiction. This needs to be made into a movie.

Tom Wilson wrote three great novels about flying in North Vietnam (he actually did it and survived). his most recent books have been more about high tech adventure combined with Native American tradition and culture. The book keeps moving all the time with twists and turns enough to make you not want it to end.

Not slow, not fast, not boring, not routine,it Is Excellent.

Link Anderson has just been hired (as a V.P.) at the Weyland Foundation. But, before he can even move into his office in New York, he's received several messages to contact Gary Runyon, an old service friend now in Nevada, to please contact him as soon as possible and don't tell the Foundation. When Link arrives in Nevada, Gary's not home. Unfortunately, this isn't unusual, Gary has never been known for being where or when he was supposed to be. Than while waiting as long as he reasonably can, Link is accosted by a hostile FBI agent, has an eviscerated coyote thrown into his truck cab, and meets a marvelously beautiful and intelligent woman who just can't believe that Gary hasn't shown. Meanwhile Link's new assistant, who's turning out to be extremely sharp, is warning him that a dead man isn't. And things are getting very dangerous, very fast. Strangely a word I never remember applying to a story before describes how I felt after completing this one. Satisfied.

This is a beautifully put together book about our Princess. It was produced by someone who she knew and let in her world to photograph the pictures that meant the most to her. The commentary is very well done and shows a loving tribute to someone who deserves to be remembered as probably the best example of goodness in human beings. A book well worth buying and owning. A must for everyone who loved and admired Diana, Princess of Wales.

I am sure Diana,Prncess of Wales did what she did because it came from her heart. Being a doctor I am hesitant to touch people with aids or leprosy or homeless people. She bridged the impossible and was Christ-like to the least of our brethren. I was in London during the funeral when we started the St Therese Centennial Pilgrimage with 40 co-American pilgrims mostly priests or nuns or holy men and women. We were touched by her life and this book said all the things I wanted to express and much more. My life will never be the same and I will be be a better doctor and individual in my service to my patients and family because of DIANA,Princess of Wales. God bless her and her sons. May she rest in PEACE! Dr. Elizabeth Tioleco-Cheng USA

A beautifully produced book by someone who knew her from "Shy Di" to mother, single woman and finally the concerned woman who cared about charities, from landmines to AIDS. Gorgeous photographs of her throughtout her brief glorious life. Not exploitive, but joyful.

I had the pleasure of looking through all the Diana photo books in Amazon's warehouse in Seattle. Since they do have the best selection, I am confident that this and the O'mara Diana book offer the finest quality photos of any available. Many of the others contain photos with poor lighting or low resolution.

This is a warm tribute to the late princess.

This is a warm and loving tribute to the late Diana, Princess of Wales. All facets of Diana's life are covered from the time she first blinked into the camera as teenager through her funeral services on September 6, 1997.

The photographer for this book has photographed the Royal Family for twenty-five years and has traveled in over a hundred countries throughout the world with them. The text was written by Tom Corby who has been associated with the Royal Family for about fifteen years. I possess a couple of his books.

These two - Granham and Corby - have assembled a beautiful book which is filled with beautiful and outstanding pictures. All of the pictures are in color. Corby wrote the text to acompany the pictures. This is a great book which any collector of books on the Royal Family should have in his collection. Also, it is great for one who like to read about and look at gorgeous pictures of the late, Diana, Princess of Wales.

This is a hardcover boook which contains 96 pages and measure 91/2x12 inches

I never had troubles meeting women, but they always seemed to want to be with other men. So I bought this book so that I could meet women that maybe I wouldn't say the wrong things, or maybe because I was famous that might like that. Let me say, I really liked it. Anyone that can read it, and wants to find women that won't right away leave them, should read it. The woman that I met had to move back, but there will be many more, thanks to Fantasy Islands!

This is a great book for any guy who wishes to meet a female from another country! Any of your questions or concerns will probably be covered somewhere in this book. Just to mention several of the many topics discussed are: Placing & responding to international personal ads, culture differences, international introduction services, visas & marriage & making the most of your trip. The author also discusses in detail the women & environment of over a dozen countries including Thailand, Brazil, DR, Scandinavia, Cuba and others. Besides being informative, this is also an entertaining read. I mainly read this for entertainment purposes and can definately relate to it as I have travelled to a couple of the countries mentioned in the book. I recommend this book to those who are serious about starting on the path to meet an international mate or to those just enjoy international travel and meeting people in the places they travel to.

Review Date: 2008-02-28
This may very well be the best fish guide we've seen yet. The organization and utility of "Fishes of Alabama" has clearly been influenced by the best previous titles which use a similar format (such as "Fishes of Arkansas"). For each species, national range maps are given in addition to Alabama dot localities overlaid on a state watershed map.

Perhaps the most important aspect of this title is the illustration. Some artistically uninclined individuals will prefer photographs, an opinion to which they're entitled, even though photographs are, for most vertebrate groups, inferior to accomplished artwork in both a functional and appreciable sense. Truly landmark wildlife compendiums tend to use quality artwork over photos - that's an historically-substantiated fact. "Fishes of Alabama" is no exception here. Each species account is headed by a beautiful, small specimen painting that showcases important identification features. Each account's painting is duplicated in large plate format in the book's center. The artwork, for those with enough culture to appreciate such achievement and an eye for depiction of important detail , is worth twice the purchase price on its own.

Throw in the consideration that the biological information on each species will help not only sportfishers, baitfishers and ichthyologists active in Alabama, but also in additional states inhabited by the species covered, plus a better-than-average foreward, and you've got yourself a must-have title. "Fishes of Alabama" is likely one of those books for which the timeless esteem and utility that it beckons will cause the price it commands to increase substantially once it's out-of-print.

This is an excellent reference book. Joe Tomelleri is a remarkable artist with a talent I have never seen before. His illustrations are so close to looking at the fish in a stream. He is a master at capturing life. The information in this book is very complete and concise. A great buy for the money and just a beautiful book to look at even if you are not extremely interested in fish.

I am a carrying on an action against a State agency, and I'm in the process of writing a brief for appeal of a judgement. My buying was based upon this book's reviews and comments in lists by actual lawyers or law students.

I have to agree with their assessment: this book is EXCELLENT! It is concise, easy-to-read, and very clear about what "the 5 types of legal arguments" *are*, how/when to use them, and how to defeat their use by the other side, etc. The author also points out that the best sorts of legal arguments draw from some/many/all of these 5 types of arguments, so that one's legal reasoning is even more compelling.

This is helping me to frame my own brief and I am thankful for it and for the reviews/comments which led me to buy this book. It is an excellent resource for anyone who has to approach legal writing, in my (lay) opinion.

I was a student in Professor Huhn's Constitutional Law class in 2002 and used this book to answer essay questions on his final examinations. He is a tremendously talented professor who provides the historical backdrop behind many of the cases covered in class. This book does a great job presenting the methods he uses in his classroom to motivate indepedent argument. It is a great book to have whether you are a law student, a lawyer, or neither.

Professor Huhn has written a road map to the framing of legal arguments that makes the mysterious enterprise of legal analysis comprehensible in a way that is very useful both for exams and for writing and research assignments. I am confident that this book will retain its utility right on through bar prep and beyond. It has already helped me in writing a brief on a difficult case in my summer job.
By carefully identifying the legitimate sources of legal argument including plain meaning, intent of the statutory body, precedence, tradition, and policy, and then explaining first how to use and then to defeat each of these, Professor Huhn has done the community of law students a great favor. This should be required reading for 1Ls.

This is an easy-to-read exploration of just what motivates our courts. The author provides a compelling view of what factors courts consider when they issue the decisions that affect our lives. He places his discussion in the context of some of the most influential court cases, which makes this a lively and stimulating read.

Law students will find this book indispensable in their studies, lawyers will a compelling structure of legal arguments to use in their briefs, and anyone can use it to evaluate critically the issues we see develop in our nation today.

I am one of Professor Huhn's students at the University of Akron. He is an excellent professor, amazingly well versed in history and the law. His theory of the five types of legal arguments is very helpful in understanding and organizing such arguments, especially in the area of Constitutional law. It has helped me clarify the reasons behind the rulings and why the law is interpreted the way that it is. It has been helpful in all my classes, and I anticipate it will be most helpful on up-coming exams. As law students or practicing attorneys, you may not be able to benefit from Professor Huhn's lectures, but you will most certainly benefit from his book. I higly recommend it for first year students, as I think it will help you in clarifying what I am sure is still new and confusing material.

Priscilla Wilson's "Gourd Girls" is a rich and honest account of a life lived well.

The parallel stories of her struggle to live life to the fullest, both in her life and her life's work, are portrayed with honesty, humor, and sadness. You travel these twin journeys with her and her life partner Janice Lymburner and find yourself laughing with them as they learn the ropes of hoeing and gourd gathering and running a business as such delightful greenhorns, who are open to the lessons and generousity of their neighbors, friends, and some wacky strangers who all seem to become lifelong partners in the gourd life, as they call it. She also shares the sheer joy of life with her true love and the pain and fear of years in the closet.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It inspires and instructs and makes human the whole public debate on gay marriage and rights. It is a beautiful book.

Gourd Girls by Priscilla Wilson is the story of Janice Lymburner and Priscilla Wilson, two young women whose decision to begin a business soon came to be their most favored pastime. Readers will follow the two girls as they are discovering themselves and their knack for the unexpected, giving Gourd Girls a great and powerful intimacy as the community, their families, and their friends join the girls to create an inspiring unity amidst such an unlikely business as the growing and selling of gourds. A remarkable tale in its vividly written in familiar story telling narrative style, Gourd Girls is very strongly recommended reading for anyone who aspires to have a business of their own one day.

Gourd Girls came in the mail from a friend who told me that because it was self-published it is hard to find in mainstream bookstores. It is a lovely book in every way, and I'm delighted to see it is now available on Amazon. The writing style is straightforward and engaging. There's a nice mix of narrative about becoming entrepreneurs, creative and spiritual growth, and dealing with the uncomfortable-ness of an alternative lifestyle in a rural mountain area. There's also a good bit of hilarity and an infectious appreciation of what "foolishness" can do to lighten our burdens. I think you will like this book as much as I did.

Whether this book catches your eye because it's about the struggles and romance of making a living as a craft artist in a rural area, or because it's about two women who love each other, you'll find it well worth reading. My strongest impression is of the integrity and spiritual strength of the author and her partner. Sometimes it's a bit sad, reading the book, to see them deliberately turn away from a choice that would probably prove lucrative. (This happens at several points in the story.) Instead, they always choose what keeps their spirit most alive. This--and their deep love for nature and each other--is a great gift from the book. So do I recommend it? Yes, of course!

this is a first reading of the book. the author is a first time author, but I see a great improvement coming in future books. the book accurately depicts the life of a International Police officer in Kosovo, and then moves on to another international assignment.

the story starts slow, with alot of emphasis on details in the begining, but as the story moves, it starts to flow more easily. once the author starts to write the story it is fast moving and well written.

I look forward to more books by him

I have never heard of this author before, and wasn't all that interested in this genre either, but i was about to take a flight out of state, and wanted something to read on the plane. a friend of mine gave me this book to take with me, and i will be forever grateful. If this mr. wilson is not an international policeman, he should be. his information and knowledge is incredibly accurate. i am not sure, after reading the book, that i was reading fiction. perhaps the name of the country was changed to protect the innocent. I will be seeking out other books by this author in the future. if you like mystery and danger, you will love this book. I also like the way he presented the entire story without all the usual illicit sex found in most books today.

Costa Rica has a new war starting and this time the Narco dealers are in for a long battle.
I enjoyed Group 72 and hope that there will be another book or that this will be a series.

"European hotels do not have facecloths. I always pack mine. Showers: I haven't figured out why some showers don't have shower curtains on them." ~Margo

On my last trip to France, this book would have come in handy. One of the hotels I stayed at in Paris did not even have shower curtains and when I sat on the bed, the bed literally collapsed. This was in a very nice hotel and I was shocked. While the tour guide seemed oblivious to the predicament, I never forgot the experience. The breakfast the next morning and tour was of course worth the effort of having to put the bed back together.

A guide by Margo would have helped me select my own hotel accommodations that weekend. I also found I wanted to spend more time in various locations and a tour to Paris seemed rushed on a weekend. I wanted to spend an entire week, no a month just wandering around France. When we traveled to Provence, I had no idea where to stay and while we found nice hotels, it was purely by chance and we had no idea what to expect. When at the Louvre I wandered around not realizing I could get a portable headset to explain some of the paintings.

Throughout this guide to Budget Hotels in France, Margo selects the best hotels and explains why a double bed is cheaper than twin beds and why you might be able to ask for a "zip and lock" king-size bed (they might put two beds together), but why king-size beds are not something you will find in Budget hotels.

If you love to cook, you might want to look for the Culinary School listing. There are detailed descriptions of all the hotels, including unique creative touches like she mentions the way the rooms are decorated. Will you have to climb stairs, do you want a garden/patio, does the room have a view of the Eiffel Tower?

Margo spent ten weeks traveling around France and went to 30 of the most popular cities to explore the hotels she has written about. She spent her own money and time to produce this book and no hotel or restaurant has paid to be in this book. If where you stay is as important as the sites you will visit, then this is the book for you. A list of French Phrases for checking in is included. If you want to spend more money eating out and touring the cities, then this guide will also help you save money.

You don't need a roommate to share the cost of travel when you can stay in a delightful Paris hotel for just $50 per night, with a private bath. Margo Classe does our homework for us, finding the little gems that even travel agents don't know about. These are small, Mom & Pop places that are not even listed on the Internet. This book lists the charming, affordable hotels in cities throughout France. Each listing perfectly describes the place in great detail, giving contact info. Her other books do the same for Spain, Italy and Britain & Ireland. If only her books covered the world!

Another great guide by this author.

This is the best book I've ever used for finding hotels in Paris and Mont-St. Michel. The rooms were great, clean, well located, and the detailed descriptions of each hotel and best rooms were greatly appreciated and right on the money.

Excellent guide to low-cost lodging in larger cities

This very useful guide lists hotels for 22 cities. Also includes extra appendices: useful websites, maps, books; what to pack; tips on accommodations; tourist offices; tips on phoning, faxing; useful phrases; schedule of holidays, events; and a reservation form. Directions included for each hotel. Would be useful to have a plot of hotel locations within the city for trip planning. Listing of hotels by zip code is not useful. Excellent overall.

This is a great little book about mid-prized hotels in Spain. The authur has obviously visited all of in person. She describes locations, individual rooms, decors and even tells the traveler, who speaks English in the various hotels. She has many helpful tips on what to pack, how to get to the hotels, even how to get a discount. This is a book for the independent traveler and belongs in their luggage. It won't take up a lot of space either.

I enjoyed locating hotels that suited my needs. I mailed a copy of the fax (from the back of the book) to several hotels and I started getting responses within 4 days. I am really happy and can't wait to travel to Spain.

I used this guide to plan a trip for 5 women travelers, including myself. We selected 2 hotels, one in Madrid and the other in Sevilla. All information was accurate and we were more than pleased with our selections. It is a must-read for anyone on a budget and looking for a bargain. What is especially comforting is that the author has personally stayed in all of the places she highlights in the book. I am looking forward to more books by this author, especially England and France.
