What a great story about the swinging sixties-flower power, drugs, hippies and San Francisco. This book personifies this crazy, exciting
time! Rosie Tattersall is the daughter of a middle class family, educated in a private school, who ends up spending her childhood
and teen years with a working class family in Manchester. Zav, the son of the family, works his way through the ranks of rock
and roll with the help of spectacular publicity photos taken by Rosie, to become a world famous star, while Rosie follows
her dream man to America where he becomes obsessed with the drug culture. Tony Warren's writing style is so easy to read that
I literally couldn't put the book down.

It was exciting as the mystery of layers unfold. It is a must read book for anyone who loves mystery and science fiction.
Each chapter adds a clue to what is taking crew's lives as the phenomenon moves about in the ocean.
The bonus book, The Cresent Coin, is also well written in a very different style and equally exciting. It was hard to put the book down. I highly recommend this book for readers of all ages.

There is book Forever My Love, By Marget Haresty, that is perfect book of her perspective on love, and her loving husband,
and how he treated her...it convinced me at 16 that happy marriages exist...granted it may be out of print...but it was
best seller, and in view of best sellers being like "Conversations with God"...and this spiritual book...I think it would
be best seller again...granted it was 20 years ago...I read it.. but it convinced me ...and it made one women in my life
extremely happy...but she passed away... I am serious...executives to buy the book again...would be best seller...if
promoted...
it is the best book on marriage I ever read... and I have 2/3's Phd in psychology and it is better than any text...

Excerpt from Foreword by William B. Ellis:
"The book is the long-awaited story of a mutiny against social injustices by black officers in the United States Army Air Corps during World War Two. In the style of the tribal storyteller, the men involved in this mutiny have for a half-century told, retold, and listened to each other recount the events that led to the incident.
This detailed story of the mutiny is told by Lt. Col. James C. Warren, an original Tuskegee Airman, and an active participant in the mutiny itself. In this significant work he explores what tit meant to be a Negro in the United States Army Air Forces during World War Two, and to have been a part of the first stirrings of the social revolution in the military."

A fascinating look at a unique part of town

This is a lively and intelligent look at a particularly interesting neighborhood. Ms Gold discusses the architecture, personalities,
tragedies, and uniqueness of this part of town. The book can be read for information, but the excellent maps and distinctive
route sequence allows the visitor or resident to walk through the streets while reading about the history.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Digger is an investigator who works for a life insurance company. He drinks vodka 24/7 and sleeps with every woman he can get his hands on. He's not terribly bright and his girl friend (a part time hooker) solves all of his cases.
In this second book, the series really took off and it was undoubtedly the best of the Digger (or Trace) books. Murphy was at his best providing juvenile quips and a number of times I found myself laughing out loud. The humor is tied to a very interesting mystery and the combination makes this a surprisingly entertaining read.
This book is long out of print but can be purchased for almost nothing from the Amazon sellers. Give it a try and you won't be sorry.
