THIS IS A GOOD BOOK I think anyone would love to read it.
It's about Colin Powell. He was a good man and son.Many people loved him. Colin Powell was a very hard worker even when he was at school.He was a good friend and dad. At frist I didn't likeit because I don't like to read.But as I started to read it, I became to like itand so I finished the whole book!

I'm sure you will like the book too.

A New Critic to her core, Gordon's discipline, control, and craftsmanship shine through in her short stories. This collection should show anyone why she was such a tremendous influence on Flannery O'Connor. As a master of the short story, Gordon deserves the recognition accorded O'Connor, Katherine Anne Porter, and Eudora Welty. I hope someone will reissue Gordon's anthology 'The House of Fiction.'

For anyone interseted in Godel's thought, this book is absolutely wonderful. Also for anyone interested in Platonism and how one can be a platonist after the crisis in math, this is a good thing to read. Moveover, Godel was sort of a freek-job and didn't like to publish stuff about his personal philosphic views, so you won't get the real deal if you only read the stuff he published. Much like his homie Einstein, Godel spent the last chunk of his life plugging away at a unified theory, Einstein's was reletivity, Godel's was metaphysics. Really good stuff. Sure, you can read that Godel, Escher, Bach stuff, but then you are only learning what the man wants you to know. You gots ta get the real deal from the source. Word.

This fast paced book will have you turning the pages. It is so well written, I felt like I was right there, in the jungles with the POW. Wow! This is a terrific read!!

As a active minister, I am always looking for tools to make my ministry better and more practical. This is a great help in that direction. The wiersbees have taken a uncomfortable subject and added great insight and useful suggestions in the area of grief counseling and the conducting of funerals. It is a bit dated, but very worth any price to acquire

If you enjoyed The Grapes of Wrath, you will enjoy this companion.

Even though the author is a professor from a university in Kansas, and even though he has filled this book with facts, it's easily readable in a sort of journalistic style.

The Grapes of Wratch is discussed in themed chapters that need not be read sequentially. They include: the novel as literature, reaction to the novel in California, in Oklahoma, war-torn Europe, and throughout the USA; the author's dedication to the plight of the Okies that preceded and followed The Grapes of Wrath, local, state & federal government reaction, the movie, Hollywood's reaction to the movie, natural history of Dust Bowl from perspective of geologic time (did you know, the Dust Bowl was NOT caused by overfarming: there's a geologic record that the Dust Bowl phenomenon is a regular occurance. Conservation-minded farming methods can lessen its impact, but cannot prevent a Dust Bowl).

A caution: if you haven't already read The Grapes of Wrath, this book may be difficult to follow.

If you are a devoted Allman Brothers fan, Dean's compilation will provide hours of pleasure. Put on "Eat A Peach," crack open a cold beer, and happily breeze through Dean's wonderful tribute.

Helpfully indexed, clearly written, and illustrated with clear pictures of pressure points, this book enabled me to treat a long-standing problem even though I had no previous experience with acupressure.
