Warren Books

Warren Wiersbe writes in a way that anyone, adult or teen can understand. He uses everyday examples and experiences to bring his points home and throughout writes in a mood of encouragement and love. I would highly recommend Be Alert for those who desire a serious, yet loving approach to Bible Study.

All of the Bible studies in Warren Wiersbe's "Be" series are good, but this one is especially so. In the past I have found Judges to be a difficult book to read and study. I bought "Be Available" to help in studying for a Sunday
School class I'm teaching on the book of Judges. I'm finding it to be very helpful indeed. Wiersbe goes beyond the historical facts to help the reader understand the "why" things happened as they did. He also applies the lessons of Judges to the lives of believers today. A very helpful book!

This is a great study on the book of isaiah....I have yet to find another study that equals it. I love the book of Isaish, as it is full of so much wisdom, and it reveals so much pearls of teh word of God. I love the author, as i have read many of his books. He writes beautifully and easily for the reader to understand, and he studies the bible inductively.

I am always pleased with Wiersbe's books. I just finished a Precept Study by Kay Arthur and we went thru Numbers, chapter by chapter and yet reading Be Counted I find there is a vast amount of things we didn't discuss.
Wiersbe is always thorough, insightful and a joy to read. You never get bogged down from too much info.

Warren Wiersbe has a remarkable ability to outline the books of the Bible in a down to earth, practical fashion that anyone can understand. This study of Jeremiah is a good resource for anyone wanting to better understand this Old Testament Prophet.

The book of Exodus is not well served with commentaries. The commentary by Brevard Childs remains the best available. Childs is a liberal, but when he is through tearing the text apart he treats it seriously, bringing out theological themes very well. Wiersbe's commenarty is much shorter and written at a popular level. Nevertheless his outlines are excellent; his interpretation is careful and conservative and his application is consistently sound. This book is useful for a pastor preparing sermons and for a general reader working through Exodus in his devotions. Note: I have not yet seen the commentary by Currid.

I taught sunday school first time using Be Restored and made it thru the quarter. I am not due to teach again until March 2006 and am hoping this one is as good.

I ordered Warren Wiersbe's New "BE" Collection With Quickverse 2005 Engine which contains this book on it and starting to do my lessons early. I assume this one is of the same high quality. I am NOT a seminary student of any sort but Wiersbe's books give me a certain confidence level since I am still new to sunday school teaching. Thannks Dr Wiersbe.

Although this is out of print, it is worth obtaining, particularly for teachers of the Word. Wiersbe takes the 7 Feasts out of moth balls and presents them in a fascinating way.
Wiersbe is Biblical, theologically conservative, and writes simply and clearly for the lay person. Although easy to understand and brief, the truths contained in this volume are gigantic.

In short, Wiersbe correlates the Festivals to NT truth:
Passover: Christ died for our sins
Unleavened Bread: The Holy Messiah makes His people holy
Firstfruits: Christ arose, the first fruits of them that sleep
Pentecost: The coming of the Holy Spirit
Trumpets: The return of Christ (rapture)
Day of Atonement: The end time repentance of Israel
Tabernacles: The feast of the Millennium

A great place to start looking at this fascinating subject. Also useful for Bible teachers. Wiersbe is the king of clear presentation.

Dr. Wiersbe does a very nice job with his commentaries. I would recommend getting his commentaries for the entire Bible.

As a first time sunday school teacher, this series was recommended by a more seasoned and great sunday school teacher. I am more a network and IT teacher by avocation. This book and I will assume series will continue to provide timely information and insight. It is down to earth and can be read in a quarter of sunday school.

I was so impressed that I brought a CD Warren Wiersbe's New "BE" Collection With Quickverse 2005 Engine
which hopefully seems has most of his books on a cd.
