The twist in the story comes late in the game, but it is rewarding. Slider's sidekick, Atherton, is hurt at the end. Is that all for Atherton? I hope not. An excellent addition to an excellent series.

I love the way Nancy Thayer develops her characters. I got inside all the characters. This is a story of small town America and how each life affects those around them. This is one of her earlier novels and I am always so surprised that she isn't more well known. I would highly suggest this book even though it is out of print.

I first heard of this book in the Feb. 1997 issue of LIFE magazine which showed excerpts from the book and explained how the 3-d images were captured. The article prompted me to get the book. The body used in the Visible Human Project was a convicted murderer who was executed and donated his body to science. The images are so amazing! They truly reflect that the body is a work of art.

This is a very good book on its own; Melville is an excellent author with an ability to create "word journeys" to Japan to visit with Inspector Otani and his wife in their world.

Wow, This was the series of books that got me hooked on historic romance! Mrs. Sherwood's knowledge of history, culture and geography, not to mention sociology, blended with her uncanny talent at spinning an intriguing plot with very well defined characters will have you reading faster and faster to try and find out what will happen next.I wish she would write more!

David Kossoff creates a fresh view of the events in the New Testament by retelling the story as it could have been viewed by an eyewitness. His skills as a story teller make the book a very valuable tool for use with childrens lituries.

I felt that this book was written in the true Boxcar Children style. This is one of the original books in the series and has the same wonderful story line. I love the Boxcar children stories and recommend this one along with all the others.
