Romeo and Juliet first gained fame as painters...yes, these painting horses have decided not only are they artists but the
stars of their own book. Kids will love the photos as the horses decide to move from barn to the house, and the book chronicles
their adventure along the way. Cheryl Ward has a great writing style, and has produced a book that is well written and illustrated,
and great for out-loud story hour also. As a Library Tech, I heartily recommend this fun book for beginning readers. Cheryl
is currently working with a third unwanted-rescue horse - also teaching him to paint. [...].

Horace, a most enjoyable companion

If you're looking for this book, it doesn't need any introduction or review. You'll buy it. If you come across this by accident
and think Horace is Horace Walpole, Horace Mann, or Rooster Cogburn's clumsy child, forget it. This book's about another Horace
who you probably wouldn't be interested in. Alfred Noyes' Horace is the ancient and sometime Epicurean poet. Remember Maecenas'
client, "You may drive nature out with a pitchfork...", and "Carpe diem". That's the Horace Noyes wrote about and, Wow! what
a biography. Next to "Death of a Highwayman", it's Noyes most memorable work. I think, too, it's the most analytical and accurate
biography of a man whose life has had to be almost wholly created from his poetry. For any of you who have a passing interest
or more in Horace and want to know more about him, here's the place to start. It's a biography about the world's most practical
poet by the best poetical biographer.

The author tells of places he's been and things he's seen. He describes being at sea, in Tahiti, La Martinique, Siam, Ceylon,
the Tropics, New Hebrides, Black Republic and back to London.
This book was originally published in 1930 so his descriptions of what was then may not be as is now.

how to always care for your patient

Emergency! Emergency! There is a proublem with our patient. I think we should just leave them away from us, so we don't get
what they have. Said one of the goofiest doctor there. That is something you should never do. You are a doctor and if your
patient needs you then you have to be there for them. The smartest doctors' had to say the same thing I have written to you
right now. If you want to become a doctor or even a pharmisist you need to take care of everything around you, because that
is the only way that makes you a good person, and a good doctor, or pharmasist or a veternarian. Or even something else. You
just have to put your head and sometimes your heart for it, so people call you a good person. BY: RUCHI SHAH

I really enjoyed reading this book. I found many of the tips to be useful in my marriage. It is so easy to get caught up in
the everyday relationship that sometimes we (men that is) forget about the little things. Well, this book will light a fire
under your feet and get you thinking about your lady the way you are suppose to. I think my wife enjoyed the book even more
than me. The book is short and to the point. An easy read that gets you thinking about the way you treat your woman from the
first sentence. Keep up the good work and I'll be looking for the next book release.

Spurrier is the expert on wines and the wine trade

Steven Spurrier is an English wine merchant who used to run a wine shop - Les Caves de la Madeleine - in Paris and also a
well-known wine school - L'Academie du Vin. Here he discusses what makes fine wine, the wine trade, how to buy wine, including
what to look for in a wine merchant, how to invest in wine and much more. The section on auctions is particularly informative.
Even though this book was published in 1986, most of the information in here has aged well. Definitely worth reading if you
want to understand the wine trade and to be a well-informed wine lover.

I read this book in the 70's when it first came out. Georges Joubert was the coach of our ski team at the time and the most
respected coach I have ever known. His book is very explicit and easy to understand and follow. The French method is tried
and true and the best one going. Read the book and follow his advice to imporve your racing.

There are numerous footnotes giving literal meanings and alternate renderings from Hebrew and Greek texts, including the Septuagint Greek, and commentary. For example, the footnote for Isaiah 9:14-15, "And now, in one day, the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both pliant reed and stubborn bough (What is the head, but the senator who holds his head so high? What is the tail, but the prophet that gives lying assurances?)" states: 'Pliant reed and stubborn bough'; literally, 'him who bends down and him who holds back.' The Hebrew text has, 'both the palm branch and the reed,' which is commonly understood as meaning, 'both high and low,' but seems to be interpreted by the Latin translator as meaning 'both the stubborn (senator) and the pliant (prophet).' so as to correspond with the 'head' and the 'tail,' as explained in verse 15."
I have 35 English translations of the Bible, and Knox has a unique and very expressive style which no other translation has been able to match. For example:
Isaiah 26:3: Our thoughts, wayward no longer, thou wilt maintain us in peace, peace that comes surely to those who trust in thee.
Ephesians 2:8-9: Yes, it was grace that saved you, with faith for its instrument, it did not come from yourselves, it was God's gift, not from any action of yours, or there would be room for pride.
Psalm 22 (23):
New American Bible
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose;
Beside restful waters he leads me;
He refreshes my soul.
He guides me in right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil; for you are at my side
with your rod and your staff
that give me courage.
You spread the table before me
in the sight of my foes;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
for years to come.
Knox Version
The Lord is my shepherd; how can I lack anything?
He gives me a resting-place where there is green pasture, leads me out to
the cool water's brink, refeshed and content. As in honour pledged, by sure paths he leads me; dark be the valley about my path, hurt I fear none while he is with me; thy rod, thy crook are my comfort. Envious my foes watch, while thou dost spread a banquet for me; richly thou dost anoint my head with oil; well filled my cup. All my life thy loving favour pursues me; through the long years the Lord's house shall be my dwelling-place.
The Knox translation is a unique and lively version of the Bible which is a joy to read.
