My kids and I laughed and laughed as Adam Sharp and Magna Carter (great name!) tried to get Big Ben back from the Texans who had invaded London. This is a great series for kids who like spies. My sons hope to see Adam Sharp on televisio one of these days. A wonderful series.

I have a [...] and [...]. They both enjoy the books from the Adam Sharp series. They amuse my [...]; and the writing is clear and just enough of a challenge for my [...] without getting frustrated. I would like to see more in the series.

This book is not an exhaustive study of ancient Mesopotamian adoptions; rather it is a study of a group of related texts many of which deal with adoption. The work contains photographs and hand drawn copies of the texts as well as transliterations and translations of the documents. The work is aimed at a scholarly, rather than a general, audience.

One fascianting fact that emerges from this study is that many adoptions are not adoptions as we would think of them. These adoptions were strictly economic transactions between adult adopters and adoptees and were not designed to add a child to a family.

This study is thorough, yet concise and comes highly recomended.

I read this many years ago and it has remained with me ever since. It is a fascinating recounting of Mr. Debbs' lifelong battle for better treatment of workers, especially with the Pullman company, which was evil in its total disregard for the health and welfare of its workers. He ultimately formed the first union. He also was the first Socialist to run for president. The Adversary of the title was his wife who hated what he did and fought him every step of the way. I couldn't put it down.

This book is a classic. If you love art, or even if you love a personal struggle story, you'll love this book. It's inspiring and inspired.

This is a great little travel book; I keep it in my glove compartment now. It's the kind of information that appears on those "historical marker" and "points of interest" signs you fly by as you're travelling and then wonder about for the next 5 miles. The information is presented as though you're driving along one of the main highways, but you don't have to be going anywhere to enjoy this book. There's lot of information in it about Alberta that I didn't have a clue about even though I've lived here over 20 years. (For example, did you know that Alberta was called Alberta because Louisiana and Carolina were already taken?) Nice, easily digested short blurbs. Definitely worth it if you're interested in the history of Alberta. The best of its kind on Alberta that I've come across.

If you like Robert Jordan, Eddings, and Tolkien, then you'll like this book!

Fantastic! Madeleine L'Engle, the author of A Wrinkle in Time, is a great writer.The characters are Mrs. Whatsit Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, Mr. Murry, Meg ,Charles Wallace Calvin ,It, and Aunt Beast. The characters were interesting because each of them are so different than the other. Meg Calvin, and Charles Wallace go on a journey through space to the planet Camotz were Meg's father is trapped. I would recommend this book for 3rd grade and up.

I wish they would come back out with this book. It's the best thing to give your grand child when they get older. They can learn all about their Grandma's life as she grew up. Helps the grandkids get to know what was in style, where she lived, her favorite musical group, favorite singer, what was her favorite things to do at all her different ages etc.
