This is a great book with insights into how certain aspects of law, such as the common law system, parallel the "laws" of baseball.

I had this help book for years then I loaned itut,bye.
This book helped me to re-wire my own kitchen and basement
using both 120 & 240 volt lines.It has bee a god-send when
my friends ask me to help them with whatever they want to do.
It is worth far more, to me at least, than ORTHO asks for
it. I am now ordering another one now. I think every handyman
should have it.

Battleships: An Illustrated History Of Their Impact, as part of ABC-CLIO's 'Weapons and Warfare' series, could also have been featured in a military history column, but deserves mention in our transportation section as an excellent illustrated history of their construction and impact. Chapters begin with wooden battleships from 2000 BC and move through steam, dreadnought and later eras, covering different approaches to styles and warfare effectiveness and drawing important links between battleship construction and changing military approaches. Both military readers and those interested in boats and naval activities will find Stanley Sandler's Battleships a lively analysis of all the major warships.

I read an extract from this book in THE INDEPENDENT (UK national newspaper) of March 4th 1998. The extract gave the story behind the writing of the Stones' "Satisfaction" which fascinated me, making me want to read the book. I'm delighted to find it is available in the U.S..

Absolutely amazing book. Spencer goes beyond 'mere opinion' by utilizing hermeneutical methodology to prove her point that women are equal to men in the sight of God and should be allowed to fully participate in minstry and teaching in the church. She explores the original Hebrew and Greek as well as historical context of the NT epistles. This is a book that church traditionalists who believe in the secondary role of women to men do not want their members to read. One note - while Spencer's treatise is somewhat dry as it goes into so much depth, it's worth reading nonetheless.

This book is such a cute and loveable little read it should be part of every schools catalogue!! With good themes too.

It has such good messages for children (finally a story that does) and does so with such nice rhymes I would recommend it to anyone who has kids. Especially stubborn ones who don't eat their greens as the story cleverly tells the story about a little clock named Ben who wants to grow big. His parents tell him to eat veges and greens and presto - He turns into the world famous Big Ben Clock!!

It has had such a positive influence on our little Harry, it is a godsend. He not only has to take this book everywhere he goes but he now happily eats his greens and veges without us asking.

I think Amazon have slightly mis-rated the book for 9-12 year olds though when realistically it is more for 4-7 year olds (we initially bought it for our 8 year old who found it too easy so we gave it to our 5 year old instead).

The Big Bleep is sort of like a Pulp Fiction version of Columbo riding a Harley through the movies "The Maltese Falcon", "Alice In Wonderland" and "The Wizard of Oz", with a bunch of comic book super heroes who are bouncing back and forth between an X-Rated - Harry Potter - Universal Studios - Botanical Garden - Theme Park and a convoluted Las Vegas strip mall in a 5th Dimensional time warp.
It's totally fun, fresh and uplifting story telling! I've never read anything like it in this universe. The ending will blow your mind!
