Curses has it all - romance, suspence, action and magic. This is the story of two people isolated not only by their curses, but their lonliness and insecurities. It's an absolute joy to watch these characters come into their own and fight forwhat they believe in and for each other, as well. Ms. Spencer Pape writes a fast moving, tightly woven story that delivers a breathtakingly happy ending. Don't miss this book!

Okay, so you;ve read about witches efore, but not one like Melissa. And you;ve read about shifters, but not one like Jonas. I dare you not to fall in love with them. Although Jonas has arrived at Melissa's rustic resort with an underlying purpose, he soon forgets it as he finds himself under her spell-and not one that she delib erately cast. In addition to being a witch she's a healer, who gives all her strength to her friends when they need her help. But a villain-and oh, is he a delicious one-wants jher out of the way and will stop at nothing to accomplish his purpose. As Joan as Melissa fight secrets that affect their lives and the threat menacing her, their love grows stronger and stronger. Then somethning toally unexpected nearly breaks them apart. I could not put this book down until i got to the end. Cind Spencer Paper writes witjh flair and talent. The page is her canvas, her words brush strokes, as she paints a story you won't forget.

Beautiful. These photographs are absolutely breathtaking. Not only do these 8 photojournalists capture the tragic atrocities that are occuring in the region of Darfur, Sudan -- they capture the soul of the people that are being ravaged.

I appauld the courage of these people and others who travel to this region of the world and other places of genocide and mass atrocities and begin to open the eyes of the rest of the world. We can change the course of this world, and it begins with amazing photographs like this book gives to raise awareness.

Thank you for making this book. It is a good way to explain my career choice to my family and friends when they don't understand why I'd put myself in harms way for a bunch of people in a town hundreds of thousands of miles away for no reason.

There is a reason, and this book illistrates that very clearly. We are humanity, we are all human.

VERY GOOD STUFF

Engrossing, charming, nostalgic, a page turner, well paced, detailed, and a cliff hanger.  What more can be said? From a genre point of view, this is a great combo of sleuths -- so much in any series, depends upon the empathy between the two detective types and the reader.  Gossip about the rich and famous of another era fascinates me and the economy of the narrative almost suggests the motion picture world and its techniques. It's a fact that MGM actually held a World Premiere in West Orange, New Jersey, but it was a brilliant idea to set a mystery novel against all that pandemonium. This is very good stuff and it has everything that would make it into one heck of a movie. The newspapers reported a screen version was once in the works and that a script had been completed. I wonder what happened? This would be a terrific American installment to the PBS series MYSTERY!

This is a thoroughly entertaining and solid mystery novel which not only gives the reader a vivid, sometimes humorous, picture of life in a small town during 1940 but also describes the lengths old-time Hollywood studios went to promote their movies. The premise is fascinating. The characters are well-drawn, very human, believable and engaging.

This book fulfills every question one might have about the Churchill family. The trials of love are heartwrenching. It is a wonderful thing to see how Winston was formed through the actions of the people around him. Jennie is a lady not to be forgotten in British and American society.

I truly enjoyed this fascinating biography of Jennie Jerome Churchill, an American woman who married a British gentleman. She may be best remembered by history as Winston Churchill's mother, but this was a woman with a mind and life of her own. And a life well worth examining. Through trials and triumphs, she reveals her strong and lusty character.

I've been reading and studying about the Korean War recently. I had bought this encyclopedia some months ago in anticipation of this. While I have read only a few entries in the encyclopedia, the ones I have read have all been very informative with good depth. As might be expected given the length of the book, there is a wide range of topics covered.

As to format, there is a very useful listing of all the topic entries at the front of the book, along with a plethora of plain but clear maps. I might mention though, that the map on p. xxviii, intended to be a map of the Inchon landings, is actually a reprint of the initial North Korean invasion map. Also, under the entry for "Orders of Battle", one is directed to Appendix I, which seems to be missing. However, in an undertaking as extensive as this, these anomolies are minor.

In sum, this book is a very important and useful addition to Korean War historiography. I'm certainly glad it exists and that I bought it!

Encyclopedia Of The Korean War: A Political, Social, And Military History is deftly edited by Spencer C. Tucker and presents the reader with a thorough, comprehensive, in-depth, and deeply researched compendium of knowledge over the Korean conflict often referred to as "The Forgotten War." Entries are listed in A to Z format; black-and-white photographs sparsely illustrate the detailed, matter-of fact text. Strongly recommended for school and community library military history collections, the Encyclopedia Of The Korean War is a superbly presented reference for looking up details concerning people, places, weapons, politics, military actions and much more about this pivotal Asian conflict.

This is an excellent college level text.I particularly like the detailed "real world" drafting problems for the students. Also it has a very good apppendix. It is comprehensive enough that we use it in three different courses here at Vincennes University.

I have had this book in my drafting library for some time now. I am always using it and recommending it. The book is laid out so that you can go from beginning drafting up through advanced. It not only says what the standards are, but walks you through drafting technology so that you understand why they are like they are. I believe that anyone that is going to be doing drafting should have this in their library.

As a practicing clinician and a researcher, I had frequently consulted the first edition of Experimental and Clinical Neurotoxicology since its publication in 1980, and I am glad that a new edition has now become available because considerable advances have been made in this field over the past 20 years. Glancing through the pages of the new edition, I note that the editors have kept up the high standard of the earlier work. The text has been thoroughly revised and updated, and new subjects added. I have no doubt that it will continue to be a most authoritative book in neurotoxicology.
