There's the Urantia Book and then there's the plethora of books that have recently come out ABOUT the Urantia Book. This
one is absolutely unique and well worth having if you are at all interested in just how the Urantia Book came to fruition.
This time we're reading a personal account of someone's involvement and not some tripe from someone far removed from the process
that has an axe to grind (or, conversely, someone looking for validation). However, this is a diary so you have to piece
together the authors growing impressions of his role in the revelation as they unfold. Harold Sherman was, at the very least,
a passionate and colorful individual. Whether he got a little carried away with himself is for the reader to decide.

Excellent photo history of the Sherman Tank

This is one of the classic titles from Squadron Signal's Armor in Action series, and while it dates from the 1970's, the information
is solid, the photo coverage is ample, and there are useful drawings illustrating the M4 Sherman tank's evolution through
the war years. While the page count is relatively low, the author manages to pack a surprising amount of good information
into the space allotted. The book is laid out in a landscape format, so the photos are large and clearly reproduced. There
are also color drawings depicting the camouflage and markings of several vehicles. The target audience here is clearly the
scale model builder, though vehicle restorers can find useful information as well, and this is an excellent introduction to
the Sherman tank family. For serious students seeking a comprehensive history of the vehicle's development and manufacture,
you should seek out R. P. Hunnicutt's massive "Sherman: A History of the American Medium Tank."

This work is part of the literary canon used to train intelligence professionals in the United States. Kent, an ex-Yale professor,
writes well on the art of estimating and the essays collected here hold up very well given the passing of years.
For the general non-fiction reading public, Kent's illustrative anecdotes about De Gaulle, Bedell Smith, Dean Acheson, etc., offer color and interest, as does his "lessons learned" essay on analysis failure in predicting Soviet missile deliveries to Cuba.
Anyone trying to understand changing National Estimates on Iranian nukes or weapons of mass destruction in Iraq needs this volume.

Leonard Palmer, author of The Sherman Letter, leaves his reader asking when his next novel will appear on the scene. This
one is historic fiction at its best....accurate in historical account and compelling in vivid characterization. Juxtaposing
past and present, Palmer weaves a tale of intrigue that will keep you mystified until the startling conclusion.

Sherman's March to the Sea is well-known, however his subsequent campaign up through the Carolinas is not. Sherman is widely
considered to be the inventor of manuever warfare, and as such this is required reading. It is little known that this campaign
continued for 9 days after Appomattox!

This was arguably the greatest book that I have ever read on any topic. Not only was it a great account of General Willie
T.'s life, but it also gave great insight into the real meaning of life. If anyone is looking for an answer to anything,
then this is the book for you.

I read this book in a day and loved it from start to finish. The plot was just intricate enough to be riveting without being
unbelieveable or hard to follow. The characters in this book defy stereotyping and keep you guessing as to who are the good
guys and who are the bad guys! I hope there's more to come from this author.

This book was given to me by a friend of the author. I didn't really know what to expect, and I didn't read it right away.
Well, now it's one of my favorite books, and the hard part is explaining why. This book is weird and about weird things. The
jokes are all about the most uncomfortable topics. Like the title character and this one guy spit flaws at each other as a
running theme in the book, and some of their flaws get pretty dark, but you can't help but laugh at them. I don't want to
sit and type out word for word what happens, but the whole book is also pretty intense and absurd, because this girl shrinks
into meat and gets shat out of a person and is surrounded by all these awful people. I could see how someone who doesn't like
dark humor would not appreciate what's funny here. Overall, the message is pretty good, too. I'm a big fan of Palahniuk, and
I think you can see his influences in the book. really very good. I'd read it again.
