I've been interested in Sam Shepard for quite some time now and this book was a great addition to my personal library. I
suggest it to anyone with an interest in the dramatist. Well worth the money.

This .pdf pamphlet is essential to understanding Shephard's 1979 Pulitzer award winning play. But DON'T read this until AFTER
you have seen or read this tough play. I had thought that most of the characters might have been ghosts, none real except
for Shelly and Vince - a couple stepping back in time into a fractured family's home. This short book completely explains
each character and symbol. Just wonderful. BHH.

I think this is a very touching story about a lady who loves her husband very much. She is ready to risk her life for him.She
does everything she can to stop the day her husband will die but unfortunately the day comes.I like how Yama suddenly shows
up.That really ads a nice touch.Savitri is also very clever to trick Yama into bringing back her husband to life. The part
where you say that Savitri had no fears or tears when Yama came again to carry them to his kingdom was a great way to end
of the book.I especially liked that.I think that this was a great story.I hope you keep writing because you are an amazing
author.

Every voter should take the time to better understand this candidate for the presidency; I am disappointed that the press
has done so little to promote this book as a tool to better understand and appreciate all that Joe Biden is and has accomplished
in his career. It is honestly written and gives a clear picture of an honorable man, confident enough to admit and learn
from his mistakes and shows the advantages of his experience and ability to grow and change with the times.

As a personal friend of the author, I obviously enjoy all of her work. This is her first young adult novel and it is done
very well. It was written when I was in my adolescent years and I really enjoyed reading it. The plot line is great for
adolescents. This book sprung my interest in the Russian language in which I began studying and continue to do so.

Just delightful! This book is a game and a story about the good shepherd parable. The tiny stuffed lamb, which is attached
to the book by a ribbon, fits into a different soft pocket each time the page is turned. The text is written in very simple
sentences for the toddler crowd.

I have had a working knowledge of domestic wines for several years. In attempting to broaden my knowledge to french wines
as well, I read Mr. Shepard's Guide to Mastering French Wines. It is beyond me how Mr. Shepard has put so much information
on the subject in one book. I now consider it my encyclopedia on French Wine.
In addition, if I am ever lucky enough to tarvel to the French Wine country I think it would make a great travel companion.

I always loved this story when I was a kid. Its a great mix of "The Phantom of the Opera", "Sherlock Holmes", and a spaghetti
western. The drawings really set the mood too, with black lines and sepia tones. They remind the reader of a long-ago time
and place, full of rugged romance.
A must-have for any begining reader!

This book is a young reader's dream come true.
I bought a copy many years ago at a sale of library cast-offs. It is one of the most memorable books that I read as a child, (the others being "A Diamond In The Window" by Jane Langton and "The Hundred Dresses" by Eleanor Estes).
It is the story of hard-working and resourceful Poll, and her beautiful but lazy sister, Poll. The King of Norfolk falls in love with Doll when she claims that she can spin straw into gold (she can't). Before marrying her he demands that she prove herself by spinning. She must spin straw into gold, or lose her head. Somehow a spindle-imp pops into Doll's prison and spins the straw into gold for her. He saves her life, but in return, the spindle imp demands Dolly's first-born child (the story line is familiar but better told than Rumplestiltskin). She makes the promise, but repents of it when her baby is born.
Clever Poll and her friend, a poor fisherman named Charlie Loon, save the day (and save the baby, and vanquish the spindle imp)!
The story is woven together in an excellent fashion. The pictures, by Ernest H. Shepard of "Winnie The Pooh" fame are delightful. They are those spidery and evocative drawings that young readers love. The work of a real artist.
"The Silver Curlew" really deserved an award for both its story and for the illustrations.
In fact, it should be re-issued, as many of the finest children's books are from time to time.
