Shepard Books

this is the best childrens book I have ever read. I have five children and get the book from the library every time it is in stock. I highly reccomend this to every parent to read to their child.

I have read two othrers of Adele Griffins novels, but The Other Shepards is by Far the best. It takes place in New York, wher two sisters are living there adolescence. The book is a bit juvinile, BUT FANTASITC. read it

This is a christian story of a shepard boy named Paul who always had to walk in bare feet until his father could finally get him some sandals for his feet. He loved them so much and was proud to wear them on his trip to see Jesus. There, he sees a poor, crippled boy and knows that he should give his sandals to the boy. Jesus sees that and gives the boy a special understanding about life.

This book is the best work on the subject of persuasion -- whether for juries or for any purpose -- that I've ever read. Many case histories; lots of thorough detail; and crystal clear from start to finish. -- Suzette Haden Elgin, Ph.D

My little one loves to carry these books with her where ever she goes. The pictures are fun and the words are easy for her to read and understand. Plus they are really cute.

My daughter loved to chew on this book. She takes it everywhere, even into the bath. It still looks great after everything she has done to it unlike board books.

I was tired of all my board books getting wet and falling apart, but with this one you can't lose. It's classic pooh at it's best and my baby can't destroy it.

Unfortunately the 1969 hardback edition is out of print, as I want one for a Xmas present and I can't bear to part with my son's that I gave him in 1975. The recipes easily engage children to try new foods, to get into the kitchen, and to read aloud while cooking. The preludes to each recipe transport you to the magical mindset of Pooh. And, understandably so, the final recipe is one for "getting thin". A must have in the cookbook collection for any age as the preludes are meant to be wondered out loud, as Pooh so often does!

I made a small piglet from this book when I was in elementary school. The directions in making the miniature stuffed animals are easy to follow. And the result is just stunning and adorable. You might be able to find it in the library, but if you are a classic Pooh fanatic, you gotta have this book on your shelf!
