I was so impressed by this book...it was given to my husband and I as a wedding present and, at first, we were offended! But after reading it, we understood why all seriously dating, engaged and married couples should read it. It presents practical solutions to the often misunderstood (and highly romanticized) world of marriage.

I have read many parenting books and articles. None ever gave me information like this one. This book really changed our lives. I am a reformed screamer. I have not yelled at my kids in over 2 weeks AT ALL. This comes from yelling at all of them several times a day and having many tantrums myself. Many moms tell me that they don't think they can stop yelling at their kids. I tell them they need to read this book. If you yell at your kids, read this book right away.

Children of all ages LOVE to hear stories about themselves and how precious they are.

I felt like this book really helped me to understand that it is uncomfortable to discuss the death of a friend's child, but that there is a great need for the grieving family to talk about their lost loved one. This book helped me to understand better what my friend and her husband must be enduring. I know that I will not understand their individual feelings, but the author has shared what her grieving was like to help those of us who are friends of the grieving families.

D'Arcy gives the reader a rare, unguarded, window to the soul of innocent grief. This autobiographical account of D'Arcy's struggles with the death of her adolescent brother and the struggles later in life as a widowed mother of a sick child is first, a great read. Beyond its compelling readability, is the fact that this book is an enormous emotional resource to people struggling with similar issues. All people who work with children's diseases and grieving families should know this book.

I read this book to my little brother and we have lots of fun trying to find Mama Hen's lost egg as we go through dog Ben's house, Donkey's straw, Mrs Mouse's house...my brother laughs each time we lift the flap to see if we can find the lost egg.
