Shaw Books

Years ago I bought this book, loaned it out, and it was never returned. I have thought of it VERY often. I just checked a bookstore today, and they didn't have it. As I remember, there are wonderful poems especially appropriate for Christmas and Easter. Thank you for carrying this book. It is a treasure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and I just had to read the book in one sitting. I just couldn't put the book down. The story with its twist and turns keeps you wanting to find out more. A fantastic ending and I can't wait to read the second and third books.

Rest in the Lord is a very unique and practical Christian book that shows the reader how to overcome challenging circumstances that life brings, and how those circumstances can lead you to having a closer relationship with God.

The uniqueness of the book is the way that Author, Liz Shaw not only generously shares with the reader some very real and difficult personal circumstances that have occurred in her life, how she overcame them and how she was healed, but with a touch of humor and practical application, the author shows the reader in a well organized step by step guide on how they too can be healed and move on to live a healthier and happier life. At the end of each chapter, the author includes a helpful work/study guide for your own personal use.

The steps in the book are easy to follow, easy to understand, and very well written. I especially enjoyed the way Liz Shaw used humor throughout the book.

I highly recommend this handbook for anyone who seriously wants to understand how to overcome difficult circumstances in a healthy and positive way that not only leads to healing, but also to having a closer relationship with God.

Here at last is a thought-provoking and in-depth analysis of the role of women is science fiction literature. Well worth reading.

THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT was written in the late 1800's right before the dawn of the modern charismatic movement. Little did Dr. Winslow know that his book would be cast away as many begin to seek after experiences rather than sound doctrinal teaching about the Spirit as Winslow taught.

The book covers nearly every facet of the ministry of the Spirit from His deity to His convicting, His regeneration of dead men, and His teaching of the saints. The book is not some dry doctrinal essay on the Spirit but is every much as its title says: AN EXPERIMENTAL AND PRACTICAL VIEW. While Dr. Winslow doesn't deal with the charismatic issues, he does give a beautiful Biblical view of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.

A wonderful blend of personal experience and practical application! Don't miss this one.

Not only does Writing so the Heaven will Be Different include stories from 35 different authors who advanced their career by attending a writers' conference, but sage advice to the inspiring writing is included in every chapter.

Shaw's honesty before God and her readers is sometimes plaintive, yet filled with celebration. She is much like Annie Dillard with her keen eye and ear for detail. Like Dillard, she writes from her own Christian perspective, but conveys a spirituality that is completely open to all. If you're a spiritually minded person of any persuasion, you'll love her poetry. It speaks to both heart and mind.

Who can resist a calendar of hats? Each illustration is beautifully done. However, it contains a good mix of hats that are characteristic of a certain job or career, as well as average hat-wearing and fashion hats. Since I wanted to know what the pictures were before I ordered, I'm sure you do too. They include: A Siberian lamb cossack; Mardi Gras crown (like a jester cap); leprechaun's tall hat; floral Easter bonnet, US Navy hat; Graduation cap; straw boater; beach hat; drum major's parade hat; sorcerer's hat; Puritan's felt hat; and a classic ski cap - all circa a certain year or time period.

I purchased this off iTunes, but will probably get the CD since the recording on iTunes includes some rather loud additions from the producers. But, this is a wonderful yoga routine and I would highly recommend it for everyone!

You start out with breath work, then move on to some very mellow yoga movements and postures. I love the music on the recording and Beth Shaw's voice is very soothing as she talks you through this routine. The sound quality is very good. It's about an hour in length and even non-yogini's will be able to follow along. I use this as a morning yoga routine since it is very mellow and a great way to start your day. Most of the stretching and postures are done on the floor, but some warrior/standing postures also included. Very much worth the price for this product.
