Shaw Books

I really enjoy cooking, especially desserts, but most books i've looked at are dry and don't create a range of desserts to choose from. I really loved the entire book and after having it only a short period of time i think i've used almost every recipe. This book is also fabulous for a wide range of ages, the steps are written simply so youger kids can have their first dessert turn out perfect, yet more experienced cooks love the great recipes.

So all i can say is it's worth the time and money to purchase this book.

I suppose you'd have to have a certain sense of humor when reading this book (as with any of the other Wuntvor books). It's hilarious, it's intentioanlly cliche, and it's just so much fun to read. I wish it weren't out of print, or else I'd buy this for all my fun loving friends! =o)

The Shaw Exercise Prescription Pads are not a book. They 4 sets of tear-off instruction pads, designed by Nancy Shaw to guide patients/clients in stretches. The stretches are marvelously illustrated from "The Travell Stretch Program: Rehabilitation Guidelines for Practititioners". You can easily tear off the specific set of stretches that each patient/client needs: Neck, Head and Upper Back; Shoulder and Arm; Torso; Hip and Leg Stretches. There are general stretching instructions on each page, as well specific ones for each stretch. There is also a place for your instructions or notes. I purchased them for my Fibromyalgia & Myofascial Pain Syndrome Support Group, use the stretches myself, and plan to take a set along when I do seminars. They are a valuable asset in any pain management or rehabilitation program.

This book was a big hit with my family this Christmas. Worth every penny - and then some.

This book is an excellent rendition of the supposed psychology behind many of the key players of the gospels. Don presents them in monologue and dialogue, revealing intriguing "what ifs" of what we might learn were we to actually talk with those present with Jesus- if they had written "Confessions" as Augustine did. A great resource for short dramatic presentations in churches or other settings.

This book caused me to pray. That's incredible to me. Because anything that can speak to me heart, you know comes from God. It's not inspired in the sense of Biblical inspiration, but, oh brother (!), does it speak to me about my own lack in the area of faith.

Thank God for a book like this. I plan to buy some other copies for the folks in our church.

I have been interested in Feng Shui for many years, and as a result have numerous books which now gather dust on my shelves. Copan and Fryling have created a collection of both known and unknown Christians' vignettes resounding ways God has heard someone's prayer and responded. For readers who feel God is distant or not listening, and are looking to be encouraged in their faith, get "Finding God Between a Rock and a Hard Place."

While our society lives in a 'show me' mindset, they don't always realize God is showing Himself. Readers appreciating books from TD Jakes to CS Lewis to Jack Deere to John MacArthur... as varied as they are, will all find "Finding God Between a Rock & A Hard Place: Stories of Gratitude and Grace" a hardcore look at answered prayer.

These stories are real. They are a result of knee-bent prayer, and the grace of God.

It looks great (typeset beautifully), reads well, engages the mind, heart and soul... after you read it, pass it on. It would make a warm, gentle gift to a friend needing a boost.

I fully recommend "Finding God Between a Rock & A Hard Place." I hope there is a sequel, or some other variation. Good testimonies of God's grace are abound, but are too rarely bound in as well-said as found in these pages. God's glory needs to be declared, and here, He shines.
