Easy to read, easy to apply and really works!! Makes a great work place companion. Has techniques for relieving tension in the body and easy to apply at short break times.

This book fits its purpose well. Interesting vignettes into the quirks of old homes ad their owners. Rich photography of homes actually lived in by families. If you don't expect too much you won't be disappointed.

I bought this book, hoping to get some good ideas to help my 4 and 2 year old boys be successful in school. As a high school teacher myself, I know how important it is for children to be learners and do well in their classes. This book was a great resource. The author acknowledges that a lot of her concepts will be common sense to those raised with a love of learning (as did I), but I still found a plethora of ideas. Although the author has experience as an elementary principal, she writes in a very down-to-earth and conversational tone.

The book contains chapters on different age groups such as babies, toddlers, and preschoolers and gives great ideas on how to instill a love of learning into each age group. She has ideas on activities, great books, outings, and more. Although some things may indeed seem like common sense, I feel anyone can benefit from this great little book.

How many of us truly have an inner being just trying to get out? This book does a wonderful job of intertwining the two main characters in a fast moving humorous tale of murder and intrigue. I was enthralled from the beginning to the end. I love how Shaw allows Terrific to drop into the classic detective diaglogue with witty comebacks, it reminds me of Elvis Cole at his best. So, pull up a chair and cast your peepers on this one some weekend afternoon.

Over three decades, I've read dozens of books on this subject and would rank this among the three or four most helpful. In lucid prose, this very practical commentary on the book of Acts addresses issues relevant to the modern church.. Though we come from different denominational backgrounds, I found Dr. Ogilvie right on target in his discussion of Pentecost, prayer, Christian life, tongues and other spiritual gifts. Absolutely great - just loved it and have read more than once

This gem is also a helpful tool for those who's parents are beginning to age, for those caring for a disable family member, and for those adjusting to loss of people and mobility (whether temporary or not).

For three quarters of a century Bernard Shaw bombarded editors of newspapers aned journals with polemical letters, thereby gaining access to a large and varied reading audience. Collected in this book for the first time, these rich and entertaining letters are gathered from hundreds of correspondence collumns, and run chronologically from 1875, when Shaw was nineteen, to 1950, the year of his death.

Here is Shaw at his outrageous best, with opinions on everything from the abolition of Christmas to the atomic bomb, from BBC pronunciation to Wagnerian opera. Through his letters to the press Shaw debated such adversaries as G.K. Chesterton, H.G. Wells, and Arthur Conan Doyle, to the enlightenment and entertainment of the reading public.

When my grandmother started showing signs of Alzheimer's in 1989, when information on Alzheimer's was still very limited, Sharon Fish's book was a godsend. She clearly outlines what to expect as the disease progresses through its various stages and how to deal with it, all written with compassion and from her own real-life experiences with families trying to cope with and understand the realities of Alzheimer's. At the time, I bought several copies and passed them around for all of my family to read, and have loaned my own copy countless times over the past decade to friends facing the difficulty of dealing with a loved one's dementia.
