I bought this book hoping that it would help my family cope with the sudden loss of my brother. I was hoping to be able to pass it along to my mother as well as my sister-in-law and nieces. I was not aware that it was written from the perspective of people from England and even if I had, it wouldn't have kept me from purchasing the book. However, I found it very hard to relate to the people that were interviewed. A lot of them were atheists and I don't think that the word "heaven" was mentioned once by any of them. In fact I just didn't find any of the interviews comforting at all. I don't feel that I can pass this book along to the rest of my family, but it is not a book that I would like to keep in my library.

This would have been interesting reading, if the book had been put together properly. It's fine up to page 66, then it skips to page 35 again and repeats pages up to page 66, then jumps to page 99. THE BOOK IS MISSING PAGES 67-98, thats 31 pages that I did not get to read! The book was produced by the Micigan State University Press and I hope they are aware of the flaw. I don't know if it could be exchanged, but in any case the inconvience would be mine. Buyer beware!

This book is a looseleaf collection that does not teach anything at all about proofreading. I had hoped to see some pages of marked text. Nothing! The papers have an abundance of errors for you to proofread for yourself, but not a word about how to do it. The collection was designed for use with an instructor who would tell you what to do, leaving you to practice on the sheets that comprise the book. The material is for test purposes only; there is no instruction. I urge the writer to issue a new addition with the ANSWERS, i.e., with the same sheets MARKED, rather than left for the reader to mark.
