I enjoyed this book a great deal. Edward the Fourth has always been one of my favorites. In my opinion he accomplished a great deal and is often overlooked, I'm not sure why. It seems to me that Edward the Fourth and his brother Richard the Third are kind of skipped over to get to Henry the Seventh, the first Tudor monarch. Henry the Seventh has always struck me as rather unremarkable, except of course, for his famous son. Give it a try....it's a good read.

I have had the pleasure(if you want to call it that) of being on the so called state addiction for almost 12 years, and in my opinion we were made to be their lab rats to test this so called wonder drug on,and let me tell you this right from the outset IT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. They tell you that there is no side effects-WRONG there are plenty, but I'll let you find this out for yourselves. No, I'm not being cruel, but if you end up being put onto methadone,my advice to you is to get off it as quickly as you possibly can. There is also a good side to it,that being no more stealing, no more injecting with other people's tools, and you get your fix for nothing eveyday without fail. But you must sign a Contract telling them that you will become a slave to their every whim etc. Me myself have been on 200mls for almost 4 years, and I must pick this up and drink it in front of the chemist and whoever else happens to be there at the time. To be truthful I wish they had gave me the choice of Heroin in cigarettes,I would have jumped at the chance. A) Because it is a lot easier to come off than methadone B) The withdrawel period is not anything like what it is coming of green ginger. C) Their seems to be a lot more help coming off heroin than there is coming of the juice. D) There is no need to become an expert liar just to get what you actually need, and not what they think you need. E) There is a big difference between what you actually need and what you end up getting. Well this was just a few words from someone who has been down the rocky road of METHADONE>see yous all later surf dudes@

Stephen Biesty's glorious cross-sections take us on a journey down the Nile

The premise of "Egypt: In Spectacular Cross-Section," which features the captivating artwork of Stephen Biesty, is that eleven-year-old Dedia and his father, Captain Wennufer, undertake a 39-day journey down the Nile River during the reign of the Pharaoh Ramses the Great in the year 1230 B.C.E. Officially Ramses II, he is commonly believed to be the pharaoh of the Exodus, although this is in dispute. His mummy has been unwrapped, so that we can actually see what he looks like, although he is alive and well within the confines of this volume. Dedia and his father travel down the great river, delivery cargo as they go, eventually arriving at Piramesse, the site of the magnificent royal palace of Ramses. There Nebre, Dedia's uncle, a rich and important scribe, is getting married. The downside to the journey is that Dedia's stern aunt Meritate and know-it-all daughter Ipuia are coming along on the trip.

The journey is laid out in the first "chapter" (a two-page spread), so that you can see exactly what Dedia and his relatives will be visiting as they journey to the mouth of the Nile. Young readers get to see quarrying at Gebel el-Silsila, Amun-Ra's temple at Karnak (which is what you see on the cover), the Valley of the kings, the town of Deir el-Medina, where there is a funeral taking place for the headman (9involving the seven stages of mummification), Saqqara's Step Pyramid, the farmers working the fields of the fertile Nile, and finally Ramses' palace at Piramesse. The back of the book contains a Glossary of not only key terms, from "afterlife" to "Underworld," but lists of both the Kings and queens, as well as the deities, mentioned in the text (where you learn whose face is supposed to be on the Great Sphinx of Giza and the difference between Osiris and Horus).

The fun here is how Biesty's artwork reveals extraordinary details about life in ancient Egypt to an extent rarely seen outside of books asking the eternal question, "Where's Waldo?" Fortunately, the key details are labeled, such as the escaped monkeys on the ship docked at Elephantine, the accident at Amun-Ra's temple at Karnak, and the oven fueled by dried cow dung at the Deir el-Medina stopover. You will have no trouble spotting the pharaoh at his palace. Biesty's artwork is complimented the writings of Stewart Ross, Delia Pemberton, Joan Fletcher, and Edward Bleiberg, who evidently aided and abetted Biesty in his meticulous research and noteworthy attention to detail.

Consequently, the illustrations contained herein can claim to be as authoritative as they are beautiful. But they are also fun, because there are always unusual and funny activities and encounters in every scene. Still, the primary emphasis is on taking a look inside the major monuments and buildings in ancient Egypt and get a sense for how they were built, while also getting a clear indication of how these ancient people lived, worked, and played. Also available is a similar book on ancient Rome. If you have seen any of Biesty's cross-section books then you know already the value of this one. I can only add that the pricing of this volume makes it a great buy given everything that it contains.

This is the second Physics workbook by George Mathews that I have used in my Physics courses at the Ohio State University. This book, and the Socratic Physics book, are really effective at bringing difficult and complicated concepts down to a level that is easily grasped by the college or even high school student. I recommend that students of physics use this as a tool for much greater understanding and targeting learning. This is a really outstanding tool...and I recommend it for all students of physics.

I really enjoy using this software. I am a Nutrition student and I frequently go back and use Cogito's product to reinforce my understanding in the different topics. If I'm not able to fully grasp a concept from the explanation in a textbook, I look it up in my Electronic Companion and it gives a multimedia illustration. This gives a whole different way of looking at the subject and allows me to really understand it. I would definetly recommend this CD to others.

This is perhaps the best Joe Ross/ Mark Cherlin book. They are all good, but this one is exceptional. Should be re-read often. Shows how you yourself determine your success or failure in trading through your correct thinking and commom sense. Other practical information not found in other books. Expensive, but a bargain.

Set in the American West during the late 1800s, The Emerald Prairie by Harold G. Ross is the sweeping and highly recommended story of a pioneer family looking to stake their claim on Kansas prairie. A tale of faith in God, survival, and a young man who grows up tested by destiny yet driven by the courage and challenge passed on in his blood, The Emerald Prairie is a moving tale that brings a bygone era vividly alive and documents Harold Ross as an original author and a talented master of the western genre.

This book is more than a book, it's an investment into you future. Choosing a college is not easy. There's something like 3,000 universities and colleges within the US alone, and for a product such as College Prowler to exist, it makes it a little bit easier to choose the place that is right for each individual. If you are undecided, yet have narrowed your search to a few schools, then I would highly recommend you purchase a few of these books!!! You'll thank me later!

As an Information Systems Consultant, I work with a wide variety of medium sized manufacturing firms who are attempting to get their arms around this "Lean Manufacturing" topic while looking for practical performance measures that align with the Lean model. I have found Trent's Lean-to-Lean book to be a great resource that is right on point in this regard!! By using recognizable manufacturers and processes in his book, Trent covers all the key "lean" components, their systems implications and the benefits companies can realize by adopting the lean "lean" practices...including optimization....It is a must read for Information Systems Consultants. "End-to-End Lean Management" is an excellent read and details the methodologies that firms constantly strive for in their manufacturing operations. Bob incorporates real life examples to illustrate his points of lean operations. He proves that LEAN is not just applicable to the workplace, but also for the home. From charity candle-making to the choreographing of NASCAR pit crews, he explains and details key lean objectives, including standardization, flow, optimization, and waste elimination. He also discusses the importance of the customer-supplier relationships as being integral to the successes of LEAN. Because the book is an easy read it is difficult to put down. Since reading it, I have referenced it a number of times already in my own job, so it is applicable and current. Bob's experience in industry gives him credibilty and makes this book necessary for any manufacturing operation.
