I have put four images which you can access by clicking on customer images below the place where a photo of the book should be.

A standard reference work written in English on the Greek Text! Nicoll's contains the complete text of the Greek New Testament along with grammatical, critical, and exegetical notes, conveniently arranged with the Greek text in clear type at the top of each page and the notes below. The scholar, pastor, and serious Bible student can examine the Greek rather than rely on English translations.

This is a very profound English commentary with Greek text and English notes below. The author says: "In the critical notes below the Greek text I have aimed at making easily accessible to the reader the results of the labours of scholars who have made the text an object of special study..."

Dr. Wuest references passages from this commentary in his series: "Word Studies in the Greek New Testament", 4 Volumes Author Kenneth Wuest, Publisher Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co./1961/Hardcover

The preface to The Expositor's Greek Testament (5 Volume Set) (Hardcover)
by W. Robertson Nicoll reads as follows: "In this commentary... I give to the public the fruit of studies carried on for many years. The gospels have taken a more powerful and abiding hold of me than any other part of the Scriptures. I have learnt much from them concerning Christ in the course of the years; not a little since I began to prepare this work for the press. I have done my best to communicate what I have learned to others. I have also laid under contribution previous commentators ancient, and modern...I have not hesitated to introduce quotations in Latin and Greek, which seemed fitted to throw light on the meaning. These, while possessing interest for scholars, may be passed over by English readers without much loss, as their meaning is usually indicated."

This set will provide even the person who does not know Greek with indepth meaning that will draw you closer to Christ. The Expositor's Greek Testament (5 Volume Set)

I have a large library, but this is the most beautiful collection of photographs I have ever owned. I have owned it for 13 years, and paging through it still thrills me every time. I was stunned to discover that the photo's were in fact not even taken by an Aussie, which just goes to show how refreshing the outlook of a visitor to foreign shores can be.

Excellent Regional History of desegregation in the South
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2006-01-10
Robertson provides a compelling look at desegregation in Southeast Texas and its implication on the national scene. Robertson gives us an inside look at the impact of segregation in sports (golf in particular), politics and societies social values of the late 40s and early 50s. I especially appreciated the biographical sketches of the major players in the civil rights case. It is an element often lacking in general historical recounts. A view of history which shows how ordinary citizens can have a significant impact on important events in our lives. I recommend this to avid golfers to see how their sport was transformed by these events.
Robertson knows his history and tells it through the lives of ordinary citizens. Excellent footnotes.
A good companion book to this is "Life is So Good" by George Dawson and Richard Glaubman. A story that also has its roots in East Texas.

Best book should be read by Japanese Tennis players
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 2 total.

Japanese tennis text books often use errornously the tennis terminologies, e.g. overhead shot as smash, drive shot for top spin dirve, etc.. Therefore, drive volley is termed as swing volley, funny!. It is quite possible case for IT jargons too, such as Japanese multimedia for multiple mass-medias in true American English. Precise usage of terminologies is essential for better tennis players of family tennis level. In the beginning, there is words. The first thing Japanese Tennis players have to do is to understand the true words.

I wish I had read this book sooner!!.........

I was lucky enough to be given a copy of this book after a learning experience that I wouldn't really wish on anyone....

Reading this book I experienced a lot of those awful blood chilling moments that often occur when the penny drops; well at least that's how I react to these moments of self realisation.

Needless to say this book has enabled me to put my experience behind me and build on it; whilst recognising the mistakes I made, and being that little bit smarter to avoid the same beartraps.

Anyway, as not all of us can afford our own career coach to guide us through the minefield that is the modern working environment I would strongly recommend this book as an essential read.

Anyone who has ambitions to follow a career path where they are in control could not wish to find a better guide.

Fatima, Russia and Pope John Paul II
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2006-03-23
This book is the first full-length account of how the end of the former Soviet Union is attributable to the hand of God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The author show how the events in Eastern Europe are connected to the requests and prophecies Our Lady made at Fatima in 1917, and he describes authentic spiritual signs and testimonies that clearly demonstrate Mary's presence at key turning points in the series of changes that have occurred.

Among the fascinating items included in the book are the reasons for Pope John Paul's decision to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Sister Lucia's statements on the consecrations of 1982 and 1984, Mikhail Gorbachev's article thanking Pope John Paul for the crucial role he played in bringing about the changes in Eastern Europe, the Pope's reply and his appraisal of Mr. Garbachev, the first Russian Catholic pilgrimage to Fatima, the first Mass from Fatima broadcast throughout Russia, and the remarkable story of the Slovak bishop who said Mass secretly inside the Kremlin.

A New Postscript for this Revised Edition describes Russia since the collapse of Communism, the situation of the Catholic Church inside the former Soviet territories, Pope John Paul's linking of Fatima with the Divine Mercy, and his vision of the future.

This is my favorite book. It's like my well-loved teddy bear as a child. His quiet genius captures nature's detail and his biting sarcasm is suspect of our human-ness. Read deep.

The book is an outstanding work and field guide for unusual species encountered while fishing in Pacific Central America. Text and Photographs are the best I've seen, and the information the most comprehensive to date. The book is a masterpiece for the genre.

I thought it might be helpful to post a short description of the book in case Robertson fans want to know what this one's about.

From the back cover: "This teeming, kaleidoscopic novel unfolds the private, intimate dramas of men and women whose lives are strangely affected by the outcome of one crucial day. On that day faithless husbands, glamorous sex queens, lonely mistresses, gamblers, newspapermen, abandoned wives and erring daughters find themselves caught up in the frenzy of a fantastic political upset. And from Manhattan to Hollywood futures are made and lost."

The Cleveland Plain Dealer says "A rare achievement . . . A remarkable picture of our divisive American culture . . . enhanced with excellent satue and broad humor -- all of it the work of a lavish imagination."
