My New Desk Reference for Special Education

This is a really smart book even for an educator of thirty plus years such as myself. The tools section is an invaluable guide for individuals who are navigating the special needs arena for the first time. I found the education law section to be a welcomed update on special education law and very useful to both parents and practitioners alike. I am keeping my copy on my desk in my office as a desk reference. I just ordered seven copies for my administrative team and will be recommending this book to fellow educators. This is an important hands on approach to the often-messy world of special education advocacy and a book that is long overdue. Thank you Rich and Michelle this is quality work.

Although you would think the format for this book is somewhat for the very young, it is actually informative and entertaining for any age. I would highly recommend it for those interested in rudimentary celestial information.

Stargazing with Jack Horkheimer Cosmic Comics is a great introduction to the night sky for children. I gave a copy to my grandson for Christmas. I also gave a copy to my neighbors son, who has expressed an interest in astronomy. It makes the kids want to "Keep looking up!"

I have read many books on this topic and I find that this is the easiest to follow. It gives some exercises that are very useful. Regular performing of these execises (it takes a total of 3 months) does wonders. I was able to hypnotise myself with ease after following the exercises.

This book has really changed my life for the better. I lived in a depressed state with a poor memory and no self-confidence. I read this book a number of times and performed the autogenic exercises as explained. Within 6 months I was able to see the difference. I have lent this book to a number of my friends who were unable to buy it.

Straight Answers is the Truth

This book was so good. It really gave me the straight answers to all of the questions that I had about sex. And he didn't sugar-coat anything. He related everything to scripture which I liked. It really is a good book for anyone who is single and trying to walk the Christian walk.

Simply Awesome.........

This book is excellent for anyone to aid in their walk with Christ. Pastor Wilkerson breaks it down in an easy to read format. He has a section on the 4 D's of dating: design, desire, decline and delight. It helps both men and women to understand how they must conduct themselves when dating as a true Christian.

The questions are in the form of letters he's received. He responds to the letters, gives spripture references and has review questions. This book has candidly answered many uncomfortable questions I had. I would however recommend that no one under the age of thirteen have access to this book for obvious reasons.

So whether you are married, single, man or woman, This book is a must have.

...antique chest just opened. Cole Swenson's poetry in this book is so thoroughly modern in its fullness of experimentation & in its valuing of history. The flickering images that construct these poems build in intensity and beauty throughtout. By the end of the book, the reader is transported to a world in which all feels strangely new, yet historically rich at the same time. Each poem hits a different emotional register, from the tragic to the humerous, with wonder and amazement dominating, all done up in intricate off-rhymes and complex rhythms that are unlike anything anyone else is writing these days.

I liked this book because it shows in photos the tropical beauty of Hawaiian beaches and forests and the sexy young men that parade around naked there. The story written in the book, adds to the photos. You learn that Tai Sun and Rich (the two boys) never got naked at the beaches before and this was their first time in front of a camera too! Very Hot! Both guys are skinny surfer cute! Enjoy!

My wife and I bought this book and our canoe in the same week.
Coincidence? I don't think so. This book overs families a great chance to get outside and share time together.
The rating system is outstanding and the directions are great.
This is the type of book that screams out for a second volumn I would gladly volunteer to be a guest contributor should the authors ever decide to do a second volumn.

I have been a phillies fan for 43 years and my biggest thrill came at 11:29 P.M. October 21,1980 when they won their only world championship.I am also a student of PHILLIES history especially 19th century history.Since they have lost more games than any other sports francise I feel that the PHILLIES and this book represent life itself! We all must struggle but when we reach the top of the mountain it was well worth the wait. This great book talks about all of the trials the PHILLIES have experienced since Tuesday,May 1,1883.I recommend this book to everyone especially ALL THE PHILLIES FANS!GOD BLESS THE PHILLIES!!

Ellery Queen's Greatest
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 3 total.
Review Date: 2001-05-20
In my opinion of course. Ellery Queen fans are kind of divided between those who love the technically intricate whodunits of Ellery's earlier career and the more psychological and introspective mysteries of the later era, but I love them both. This is one of the latter ones.

An old friend of Ellery, Howard Van Horn approaches him seeking help. He's been suffering blackouts and fears he may have committed a crime during one of them. Ellery follows him to Howard's New England hometown of Wrightsville - a town that Ellery knows very well, for twice Ellery has been there, and each time Ellery's a murder has occured for him to solve.

Already uneasy, Ellery meets Dietriech Van Horn, Howard's father, and Sally, the old man's very much younger and very attractive wife. As Ellery gets more involved with the Van Horns, and a series of odd, almost irrational crimes happens, his intution tells him one thing - there's definitely murder in the air, and he may be powerless to stop it.

"Ten Days' Wonder" is, in my estimation, Ellery Queen's best novel. It completely overwhelmed me the first time I read it, and it is a novel that not only delves into the secret lives hidden beneath small-town exteriors but also into the very heart of Ellery's own psychology. The clues are before the reader - all fair, no hiding - but when you and Ellery think you've got the solution, a final, delicious, deadly twist and a nasty surprise awaits both at the end. An ending that a friend of mine has described as feeling as if someone had sideswiped you with a nightstick. A high-water mark in the series.

One of the best detective novels ever
Helpful Votes: 5 out of 6 total.
Review Date: 1999-05-08
This book, coupled with the book that follows it, Cat of Many Tails, are the best detective novels I have ever read. Not only are the plots carefully constructed, but the level of characterization is nearly unparalleled in the detective genre. This is one of the riskiest mystery series novels ever written, and one that stands up to substantial rereading. Buy it. Read it. You won't be sorry.
