James Ray is our hero here at Pug Headquarters. His Science of Success was good and his Million Dollar Mindset is equally as good.

These are common sense rules of conduct which can be easily applied for certain success.

Brian Tracey suggests we invest 3% of our gross income in learning tools. He also recommends to use wisely the time spent in our automobiles by listening to educational improvement material. James Ray's Million Dollar Mindset satisfies both those things.

"The Million Dollar Mindset" is an incredible learning system from a true thought-leader in the field of wealth creation and personal development! As a celebrated wealth expert, James shares the proven methods that are guaranteed to turn a mindset of lack, limitation, and scarcity to one of prosperity, increase, and abundance. For these reasons alone, it's easy to see why Oprah invited him on her show, twice!

One of my favorite parts of "The Million Dollar Mindset" is contained within the 5th CD, which delves deeply into the psychological factors of influence. James uses the acronym C-R-A-L-S-S, which stands for consistency, reciprocity, authority, liking, social proof, and scarcity. Mastery of these factors combined with James' insight, is absolutely priceless and has sky-rocketed my income in the last few months! I've learned how to effectively leverage my time, efforts, and energy through other people.

I highly recommend this program to those that are serious about acquiring massive wealth. Since I've been so inspired by this course, I've been giving it as a special gift to friends, family, and fellow entrepreneurs. Reflecting on my phenomenal results from using James' system, the information included is worth thousands of dollars and James Ray International should charge what it's really worth!

Truly, this book is one of the best financial books I have ever read because it is easy to read, makes sense, and very entertaining while you learn millionaire habits.

The authors experiences of stripping her way through a college degree in a bad economy to making millions in a respected profession is an inspiration to anyone who doesn't like their job.

This is a great reading adventure!

This textbook is the best intermediate to advanced statistics textbook currently available on the market today. The Excel instructions are self explanatory and include every step needed to apply a particular statistical procedure. The instructions for calculating joint probability tables and constructing tree diagrams are excellent and easy to follow. The example problems include all the steps. The notation used is simple, direct and straightforward. It will not cause any confusion for a student. The handling of p-values in hypothesis testing and multiple regression analysis is very well done.Based on my extensive teaching experience at the college and university level,I would highly recommend this book to a student, who is taking a statistics course that emphasizes applications, at the intermediate to advanced level.

Best Book About the Best Cars, '46 -'75
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2002-01-30
I've read zillions of books about the old car hobby, and this is easily the best one I've found. This is a book for driving enthusiasts, and people who love post-WWII sports cars and GT's -- it's not for speculators, it's not for people who want to modify cars (no how-to stuff), nor people who want to make a buck. It's a wee bit dated 25 years on, but hey, nothing's perfect. ...highly entertaining and informative read.
Taylor doesn't go into any of the notorious muscle cars, but instead concentrates mostly on lesser known models (mostly). Besides, there are plenty of books out there that go on ad nauseum about Detroit's V-8's. This book gets 5 stars as a car book, and 4 stars as one of my all-time favorite books, any subject.
So go ahead, learn a little about Bocar, Woodill, and Bill Thomas' Cheetah (a Cobra beater). Be on the look-out: buy your own copy of this book when you get the chance -- I'm keeping mine, and taking it with me after I die.
By the way, Amazon also lists this book under the title, "Modern Classics: The Great Cars of the Post War Era." There's another 5 star review there, with more detail, and in truth if you're not familiar with the book, that review may be more useful than my rave here.

This is the book that made me love cars.

When I first read this book in the late seventies, it was to check out what this automotive journalist thought of some of my favorite cars, like the Avanti, the Austin-Healey and the Porsche Speedster. The reviews were so honest and funny that I shelled out thirty part-time-job dollars to buy it. I look back on it now as one of the most influential books I ever read, because it opened up a world of fabulous cars that I had only vaguely noticed previously. The book is divided into three main sections detailing the postwar/pre-Opec sports cars of the United States, Great Britain, and Europe. Each region produced cars that reflected a certain national character, and Mr. Taylor describes, in roughly chronolgical order, all the cars that best exemplify it. Using a conversational and salty style, he traces each chosen car's history in the context of the time it was made, its competion history where applicable, and the good and bad points of owning the car yourself. Most importantly, he tells the stories of the men who made the cars, men who put their own personality and blood and fortune into producing the kind of cars they wanted to drive. Although each car's history can be read as an entity unto itself, the book is so arranged to give you a continuous overview of the whole era. I was particularly impressed by his inclusion of lesser-known and sometimes maligned cars, finding reasons for loving and admiring the Crosley Hotshots and Meyers Manxes along with the Ferraris and Gullwings and Corvettes. He expresses opinions that may rub some humorless enthusiasts the wrong way, but he can usually back up his remarks, and he is so engaging a writer that the unflattering comment is almost always followed by some redeeming compliment. And it's hard to fault his choice of the ultimate manifestations of each region's most characteristic sports car (the 427 Cobra for the US, the Morgan for Britain, and the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing for Europe.) So if you like the kind of cars that seem to be made only by the Franklin Mint these days, I highly recommend Modern Classics. Every page is an engaging read, and may inspire you to pursue your own modern classic yourself, like I did.

The best description of Southern society and culture.

John Faulkner succeeded capturing the South better than any author I have read. I grew up near his location and in a family with the same moral and cultural values of his. His family could have been mine. If you want to travel to the South that used to be, that our families helped build after the Civil War and before Korea this is the best way I know to do it. His frugal use of words and his short sentences only add to the authenticity of his descriptions. For those of us from there he brings to life,as none other, what used to be and is to never be again.

Classic, you don't know Faulkner until you've read this book

Napoleon Hill is one of the most inspiring teachers and speakers on the topic of personal achievement in the 20th and now the 21st Century! This cassette was my introduction to this amazing man with an amazing mission given to him by Mr. Carnegie which consisted of 20 yrs of full time research and application without any compensation. When he speaks, you know it comes from the autority of someone who knows first hand of what he speaks. These tapes are by Napoleon Hill himself which helps you catch the incredible enthusiasm he has for this topic. It is information that is applicable to any area of your life. This is the best tape series to give you a trial experience with an inspiring, knowledgeable teacher. If you want to learn more from him after hearing these tapes then purchase "The Science of Personal Achievement" (6 cassette series). Again Napoleon Hill is the primary narrator with only brief introductions by another person. I have learned how to influence my life toward positive outcomes through the positive steps he outlines. He makes you aware that choosing to think differently can make a major difference in the quality of your life. It's been one of the best purchases I've ever made!

This is one of those books that turns things inside out and outside in so that you can better understand the world we find ourselves in. I know of no better way to compliment the contributors to this fine book then to quote from a master himself (Eduardo Galeano)......."The looking-glass school teaches us to suffer reality, not change it; to forget the past, not learn from it; to accept the future, not invent it. In its halls of criminal learning, impotence, amnesia, and resignation are required courses. Yet perhaps- who can say- there can be no disgrace without grace, no sign without a countersign, and no school that does not beget its counterschool."........

This book was so wonderfully written. I cried, I laughed, and I gained a new found faith in my son's father. One would never know what a wonderful blessing their missing out on unless they get this novel and read it from cover to cover. This book was one of the best Christian fiction novels I've read this year. It is a reality for so many, and a must read. Our Church bookclub loved this book.

Dan Kennedy strikes again! Fred Marks says this book is a MUST if you are into marketing, direct mail, or if you just want to see higher transaction prices. Why? As Dan says, sell to those "least and last affected". This book and the advanced copy I picked up in South Florida is the best purchase under $20.00 you can ever make. Talk about Return-On-Investment, it will be nearly unmeasureable over the course of my lifetime. Today is my 26th Birthday and I thank you Dan Kennedy for writing the book for the ages. What a great timing wiht the recession talk on TV. Bravo Dan, Bravo!

I grew up working class - my Mom cleaned houses, my Dad managed mailrooms and warehouses - and so I grew up with a lot of negative stereotypes about the affluent. That isn't helpful at all when the product you are selling is geared towards the affluent, and is even less helpful when thinking about becoming affluent yourself!

Dan's books, especially Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs and this book, are helping me really understand the folly of my previous attitudes and thoughts towards money and the affluent, and to actually change them by replacing old negative thoughts with more accurate ones.

Not only do I now truly like and admire the people who I am working with, but I understand a lot better the stereotypes which they are most sensitive to, the ways in which they view themselves and their wealth, and the worldviews and marketing "hooks" which particularly appeal to them.

My old attitudes and lack of understanding of my clients was really holding me back, and I credit Dan with helping me understand and change in the ways necessary to really be successful in my business and become rich one day myself.

Every single book I have of Dan's has a permanent place on my bookshelves. I have reread all of them at least once and find some new info to put to use each time. You won't regret buying this book - I have read at least one business book per week for the last year, and these are among the VERY best.

I also liked The Four-Hour Workweek by Ferriss and The E-Myth for Contractors by Gerber.

Sound Advice Sans Snobbery

Rich is the kind of guy you wish your dad was when you were a kid trying to figure out the trout fishing game. He loves fishing and he knows the game thoroughly. Straight forward truths such as using large flies to catch large trout are explained succinctly. Never mind those snob books with titles such as how to catch large trout on tiny flies and whittled down 1/2 pound tippet, Rich sticks to methods that yield the highest probability of luring large trout to strike an artificial fly and then actually landing them. This book is great. Learn from a master to ambush trophy trout from small streams to giant rivers. I could not find a smidgen of bad advice in the book. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, by trial and error. Gain 20 years of knowledge and start catching large trout from the outset of your fly fishing experience.

A flyfisher of more than 20 years, I found this book instantly useable and productive. It convinced me to practice and adopt methods I'd previously avoided and have since been catching larger fish on a fly, particularly on small water, than ever before.
