This book brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of the benefits of living surrounded by nature and does it in a fun way (through a child's eyes while she's learning the monetary "value" of her life from her parents). I gave this as a gift to several close friends because the message is truly beautiful.

The young girl in this story doesn't notice that her family is rich. I think her family is rich because they get to sit under the stars so shiney at night and there is always a shining start of the day in the morning and they get to watch nature grow and on having a family right there for her. And that's how I think she is rich.

I love this book. It was an amazing story. I liked how they called the girl Mountain Girl. But the one thing that I didn't understand is how the parents thought they were rich. But then at the end of the story I understood. It was nature that made them rich. It was priceless...and that made them all special people sitting at their table.

The Table Where Rich People Sit touched my heart. It made me realize that I have more riches than I knew. Simple riches like the colors of Autumn. Mountain Girl didn't understand about her riches either. But by the end of the story she knew that nature and family were the best kind of riches. Read this book so you can realize what your riches are, too.

This is the most amazing childrens' book I have seen. Even adults can enjoy reading this book to their kids. The pictures are incredable, the story is enchanting. I would recommend this book to any one interested in capturing the beauty of life, and embarking on a journey through the wonderful mind of a child.

Engagingly written Beatrice Rich, Vanessa And The Angel is a charming, easy-reader picturebook about a young girl who meets her gentle guardian angel. The angel teaches Vanessa how to make a wondrous garden out of thoughts alone. Colorful, slightly abstract illustrations add vibrance to this joyful book which is ideal for beginning readers still learning how to sound out their first words.

As mother of a son and daughter, ten and six, I have to say that both were enthralled by this beautiful story, so rich in depth. The art work complements the dreamy tale of Vanessa as she embarks from her earthly bed on a magical journey to mysterious lands with her guardian angel.
Vanessa uses the powers of her own mind to explore in greater depths the enchanting places her angel has whisked her to and is encouraged to use her powers positively to enhance what she has been exposed to by her angel.
What could be more alluring for children and adults alike than the mystical gardens lush with flowers, music and carousels.
Vanessa is transported to these wonderlands in boats with toys floating by accompanied by her humanlike pets. The wonder of this book is that all ages feel at one with the world and that we are not alone yet have some control over our destiny.

Honestly I have read it about 7 times and I still find it exciting. Well maybe the reason is because i know a guy just like the one described in this book (Kace)and he's so cute.
But beside that, this book has everything history, romance, crimes. I mean u name it its there. Out of all the books i've read This one is my favorite. I recommend it.Buy it.
Monday's child is my 2nd favorite if u dont have it buy them.

I think this book is great. It begins with Sharlotte Ashford, a nineteen year old debutante, who is on the verge of becoming engaged to another wealthy man. Then a man from her past resurfaces, and try as she may, she cannot shake him from her thoughts. She undergoes a transformation from high society, wealth, and lavishness to becoming a "western" girl and a true Godly woman. I would MOST definitely recommend this book!

I cannot tell you how much I absolutely loved this book! Not only this book, but this SERIES is incredible. Chaikin does an outstanding job with character/plot development. In this book you see Sharlotte grow from an uppity spoiled rich girl to a girl with a heart. Normally, I do not care for American history based novels, but this was incredible. I do not have the words to say how good it was, other than READ THIS BOOK/SERIES!

Definitely worth the read!

In my opinion, "Wednesday's Child" is the best book in the series. Unlike the first two, which are set in Europe during WWII, this book takes place in America at the time of the Great Depression. Sharlotte, who is a Wednesday's Child, is introduced to the reader as a spoiled, flirting nineteen year old who is aware of her beauty, stable financial situation and social level, and her likely upcoming engagement to a wealthy, promising man. If you're hoping for some quick action, you won't be disappointed. A murder, a dashing rival from Sharlotte's past, and the stock market crash set the pace for an exciting book. Linda Chaikin also does a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life for the reader, as well as coming through with the Christian context expected. I found the characters easy to understand and relate to. The plot was very well developed, with an abundance of excitement and adventure. I was intrigued for the duration of the book!

Like another reviewer, I agree that "Gone with the Wind" and "the wild west" scenarios are reflected in "Wednesday's Child". This book is sure to delight many readers; thrilling and mysterious, romantic, historic- these all make an awesome book. It's definitely worth the 400+ page read!!

This was given to me as a present. I had never heard of the book before, and indeed, when I told people about it, I always got strange looks. But the 52 capsules of people's lives--not all of them well-known but they're people you should know about--are fascinating. Some personal favorites are the guy who invented the U.S. zip code and the founder of an AIDS group in a small town.

Some of the people you will recognize, most you will not, but you'll gain an understanding and appreciation for their time on this planet.

When this book was first recommended to me by a friend, I must admit I was a little put off. A book of obituaries? Now there's a fun read! Although I know there are "die-hard" obit enthusiasts out there, I certainly don't count myself among them. All of this is leading to the further admission that I ordered the book with some trepidation. I needn't have worried. This book is an absolute joy. To say that it is well-written would be an understatement of Homeric proportions as Mr. Thomas had a subtle way with words that hints at Twain (I know! I know! They're "just" obituaries, but this gentleman could turn a phrase with the best of them!). Far from being ghoulish or depressing, these 52 McGs are fascinating celebrations of everyday extraordinary lives. Most importantly, each humorous account is filled with such warmth and respect that you don't get the feeling you're snickering at some poor dead guy "behind his back". 52 McGs falls into the category of "little discoveries that you can't wait to share with other people." Heartily recommended as an addition to your library or as a gift to anyone that enjoys highly skilled writing.

Regular readers of The New York Times will have noticed that while the paper's style has a certain consistently, some of its writers stand out anyway. Robert McG. Thomas was one of those writers. He made his mark not with flash, but with grace, and he did it in the most unlikely place of all: the obituary pages. Thomas (who died in early 2000) had an eye for detail, and an amazing touch in telling not just a life story, but the story behind it. Many obit junkies picked up on and actively sought Thomas's obits between 1995 and 1999; one was Chris Calhoun, who has pulled together this excellent collection of 52 of McG's finest offerings. They aren't stories of the most famous figures who passed on during his tenure. Quite the opposite, these are often people you hadn't heard of, but who, thanks to Thomas's style, won't want to forget. He could be serious, and he could be funny. He's as good writing about the South Vietnamese officer who famously executed a Viet Cong prisoner on camera as he is with "The Goat Man." He's as insightful on the woman who helped create soap operas as he is on the Greenwich Village icon who created nothing but a hipster reputation. Every miniature profile here entertains and informs, as the cliché goes. This is a great little collection; one could only wish for more.

Quirky, fascinationg compilation of obituaries

Read 52 MCGS: THE BEST OBITUARIES FROM LEGENDARY
NEW YORK TIMES WRITER ROBERT MCG. THOMAS, JR. . . . this
is a quirky, fascinating compilation of obituaries about unsung
heroes, eccentrics and underachievers . . . among the inclusions were Edward Lowe, the inventor of Kitty Litter ("Cat Owner's Best Friend"); Angelo Zuccotti, the bouncer at El Morocco ("Artist of the Velvet Rope"); and Kay Halle, a glamorous Cleveland department store heiress who received 64 marriage proposals ("An Intimate of Century's Giants").

Thomas never got to put these pieces into book form. He died, but a fan of his work decided that his work should live on . . . and I'm glad this was the case . . . Thomas had the gift of being able to find something worth writing about--regardless of the subject . . . my only regret is that all obituaries in loca papers aren't as interesting . .. but as long as I don't come across mine, I won't complain!

There were several memorable passages; among them:
[in an obituary about Francine Katzenbogen] Her neighbors were
not amused that she planned to house 20 cats in a converted
two-story garage she had refurbished at a cost of $100,000. The
luxurious cat complex included tile floors, climbing towers,
scratching posts, skylights and cozy, low-lying window ledges
where the cats could stretch out and watch the world outside
their air-conditioned lair.

Not content to recognize a Brooklyn accent, Mr. Berger drew
on his broader knowledge of American speech and history to
develop a theory of just how the signature "Toidy-told Street"
evolved. It was, he theorized, a result of the close commercial
connections with the pre-Civil War South in which upper-class
southern speech, primarily from New Orleans and Charleston,
SC, was imported and hammered down to a lower-class
Brooklyneese.

A man given to gross exaggeration when simple embellishment
would suffice, Mr. McCartney also claimed to have visited every

state except Hawaii: His goats couldn't swim that far, he
explained, and if they could, they'd just end up eating the grass skirts off the hula dancers anyway.

I absolutely adored this book. I have read it twice. Although I have little in common with Annabel Goldsmith, I feel that I learned a lot from the way she has lived her life. A few thoughts, in no particular order: Despite having a title and hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank, she comes across as a truly down-to-earth, self-deprecating, and genuine person. She identifies with all types of people, and seems to be totally at peace with her position in life (not ridden with guilt) and yet you get the feeling that she has never tried to nickel and dime her staff or deny someone a tip, because she has enough class to have an understanding for working people. Also - her perspective on fidelity and relationships is fascinating. She is a woman who has always put her family and children first, yet she is far from a boring housewife. In fact, I would love to settle down with Annabel for a cozy chat some day.

Reading this, I admired Annabel's easy, natural way of writing her life story. She sounds like a great person to know, too - warm and friendly, with a great heart. By no means has Annabel had a charmed life -- although she has been extremely fortunate regarding her financial situation, her various homes, and in the general good health of her children.

I was a little disturbed by her dependence on men, and the importance she (I think subconsciously) has given to the men in her life, throughout her life, particularly in her involvement and eventual marriage to Jimmy Goldsmith later on. (Putting up with his constant infidelity; the importance she gave to his whims and his desires; his insistence they have children before they married, etc.) The one time, it seems, she stood up to Jimmy and put her foot down was when he tried to insist that she move their family to America, because HE was tired of being brickbatted by the media in England. (Also, apparently, because his newest mistress lived in New York!)

It doesn't appear, at least to me as a reader, that JG was worth the anxiety and heartache that he undoubtedly put Annabel through -- but, I didn't know the man, and, well, Annabel's of a different generation (of women who were trained to give men the upper hand). Also, love is undoubtedly blind and dumb sometimes. There were times, reading about some of Jimmy's demands, when I wanted to tell her, "oh, just tell him to go -- himself! you'll make out fine!"

I was touched when Annabel wrote about the death of her oldest son, Rupert. A real feeling of loss came through and the letter of his that she includes gives you a sense of his charm and intelligence. (He's also the one child of Annabel's who really looked a great deal like her, at least, from the photo she includes.)

I admit, I'm shamelessly addicted to behind-the-scenes stories of upper-crust British society, and Annabel's life story is almost that of a heroine in one of those big, splashy novels that used to be written a few years ago: the kind that take a reader through more than a few decades of love, sex, divorce, some bad decisions, and painful loss.

I loved this book and believe it is not to be missed. She comes across as being a very warm being, and while most people who write their autobiographies portray themselves as being good and kind people, I prefer to give Lady Annabel the benefit of the doubt. I feel the fact that she and her first husband spontaneously decamped to Austria to help Hungarian refugees in 1956 to speak for her selflessness alone. The jaded and cynical might say this was an act of fleeting youthful idealism (Lady Annabel and first husband Mark Birley were only twenty at the time, this was fifty years ago, and her autiobiography refers to no other grand acts of altruism since), but again I prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, what does it matter when and why someone does something good as long as they do it? Lady Annabel does refer to holiday homes in Spain and vacation villa's in Italy as if this something everyone can afford to do, but I think that's the point of the book, and is what makes it so interesting.

An interesting woman without tiresome tabs on herself

I couldn't help becoming fond of this thoroughly interesting woman - a Lady by birth in the British aristocratic system, and having experienced every advantage, yet not of course immune from her share of misfortune. She is likable because, although high-born, she appears very down-to-earth, humble and even accessible.

There is absolutely nothing that I have in common with her, but because there is no sign of airs and graces or name-dropping, (for example, although having met royalty, she doesn't claim to have been close to them, although she probably is actually on friendly terms) Annabel's humility actually elevates her in a strange way and evokes my admiration for her. In other words she is not a snob, although she probably has every right to be, which is how her story can even appeal to an non-aristocratic member of a colony on the other side of the world. She is a "class act" without her having to big note herself. She just presents herself as who she is. Fascinating.

One aside, I loved looking through her family photos, and couldn't help noticing an undeniable and uncanny resemblence of her two youngest sons to the late Diana, Princess of Wales. This was my only disappointment: that any connection to Diana by ancestry wasn't mentioned.

I bought this book primarily for Glezer's information on soudough. If you are interested in starting your own culture, this book (combined with a precise digital scale) will get you the results you want. The instructions on starting and maintaining a culture are somewhat more detailed than in Artisan Baking Across America. The recipes are well written and, as with Artisan Baking, very reliable. Overall, a great book!

Other reviewers have written in glowing terms about the results of using the recipes in "A Blessing of Bread:...," and while I agree with their conclusions, I feel obliged to comment on another aspect of the book that impresses me. I am impressed--make that amazed, at how Ms. Glezer has traced so many of her recipes' histories back to their origins. Reading her book is almost like getting an insider's view of Jewish kitchens around the world. Another thoughtful part of the book is the list of sources for unusual or hard-to-find ingredients used in many of the recipes. Such a list might not be particularly useful to readers in New York or Los Angeles, but for me, a resident of greater metropolitan Boise, it is a must-have if I want to actually make some of the more esoteric offerings of this great book. All I can say is "Thanks, Maggie Glezer!"

Maggie Glezer's labor of love "A Blessing of Bread: The Many Rich Traditions of Jewish Bread Baking Around The World" is truly that: a blessing. Not just a survey of Ashkenazi, Sephardic, North African, and Near Eastern breadmaking traditions, she also sprinkles in family stories, folktales, Yiddish proverbs, and prayers, including a section on the mitzvah of challah.

In addition to providing the blessing for Challah, Glezer also includes the Hebrew Shabbat blessings of the washing of hands and Hamotzi (Blessing of Bread).

On to the recipes themselves: divided by region, there are numerous challahs, from the relatively plain Lithuanian Challah (no sugar or eggs) to Doris Koplin's Sweet Challah, liberally glazed with confectioner's sugar, maraschino cherries, raisins, and pecans. For those of you who enjoy working with sourdough, nearly every recipe has a sourdough version available. Although I've yet to experiment with sourdough starters, I appreciated the versatility.

In addition to challah, there are also yeast breads like the Polish coffeecake Babka, an onion and poppyseed Purim ring, onion rounds, bagels, and Hungarian walnut and poppyseed pastries. From the Sephardic tradition, we have the Churek, Greek walnut and currant rolls, and the intriguing Pan de Calabaza (Pumpkin bread). North African recipes include whole wheat Sabbath Bereketei, the incredibly ornate Chubzeh, and Rarif (Egyptian Cheese Rolls). From the East, Persian and Iraqi flatbreads, pitas, several Yemenite recipes for pancakes and smoked preserved butter, Israeli matzoh, and Syrian and Iraqi pastries.

The preface also includes an incredibly detailed guide to braiding challah, from a simple single strand braid to a challenging nine-strand compound braid, along with folkloric shapes like little birds, braided wreaths, pinwheels, key challah, ladder challah for Shavuot, and hand challah.

Inspiring and incredibly thorough.

Wow, this woman has really taken the time to research and record everything you could want to know about Jewish baking. She takes baking to a whole new level. So far I have made one challah recipe two times, and it was absolutely fantastic. She details all sorts of different types of challot based on regions. I plan to make one that would have originated from my grandparent's region back in Eastern Europe. Who knows if they would have made this challah, but it's fun to feel the connection. The recipe for bagels is not for the faint of heart! My only criticism, and it is slight, is I wish she had a couple of recipes for some of the other baked goods. She has one honey cake recipe, but I would like 2 or 3 to choose from. But I am so glad this book is in my collection. Even if you don't bake a thing, you will find it inspiring!

First let me say that I know this man. This book was hard to put down. His biography will shed the light on how getting involved with the wrong people, who seek earning quick money, is a lifestyle which will destroy others and will destroy yourself. This book is a good read for inner city kids who will be misguided by the pollution and thirst for quick money, drugs, cars, and loose lifestyle. If you ever have an opportunity to meet Robert I can assure you that he would agree-"What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his soul." Now out of prison Robert had the vision to use his God given talets to be a business person; he has testifed to me that even after opening several succesful establishements he has had his ups and downs. Money cannot buy you happiness. Only by looking to God for direction will we truly find peace. "Trust in The Lord in all the ways, and lean not on to thy own understading. In all the ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths." Robert's life story is a worthwhile read.

A MUST READ - A Thrilling Ride From Start To Finish!!!

It's not every day that you meet someone as blessed as Robert Vidal. When you read this book, you will, like me, consider yourself lucky to have taken the time to do so, lucky to have met Robert through the pages of his thrilling autobiography.

As you begin the book you are introduced to a young, likeable man growing up with not much more than the love of his family and the drive to be successful. However, as Robert soon learns, the drive to be successful does not always guarantee success. And when he finds himself down on his luck with a family to provide for, the opportunity of a lifetime presents itself. This is the turning point in his life. Although Robert knew that this newfound "opportunity" was not exactly the right path in the eyes of the law and, more importantly the Lord, it provides him with the wealth he had always dreamed of. As he proceeds along this sinister path he gets further and further away from his normal life and deeper into a life of crime, drugs, guns and death with no way to turn back.

Very well written in Robert's own words, which in my opinion is the most endearing quality, this book pulls you in from the beginning and doesn't let go. I found myself staying up late a few nights just because I wanted to see what was going to happen! I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who would like to read an inspirational real life story of a man who is truly blessed to be alive today.

A courageous, honest, and enthralling bio.........

Through the eyes of someone who has only known Robert, a kind and generous man, for six months, it is almost inconceivable that he was once a hardened criminal, a larger-than-life character who seemed infinitely lucky and mentally and physically unbreakable. However it was when he finally realized that life was actually much larger than him when all that changed. In his bio, Robert takes us on a journey that is no different from those of Tony Montana (Scarface), Nicky Santoro (Casino), and Henry Hill (Goodfellas). He draws you into the book with his coloquial language and honesty and keeps your eyes locked on the pages by recounting stories that exhilarate, move, and terrify you all at once. The recounting of his experience as the Drug Kingpin of Newark draws up many emotions in the reader because Robert's personal reality, for the few hours that you read this book, becomes your reality. And as you are entrhalled by his tales of violence and drugs, you are impassioned by his conversion. "Bloodcaine" is truly an inspiration to all types of people because, although on many different levels, we all can relate to Robert because we are all sinners. This book has a combination of genres - self-help, religion, action, drama, and crime, and subsequently will appeal to many readers.

As a young man, Robert took the easy road to what turned out to be a life of self indugence, lust, power, greed, money and eventual brutality.

His rehabilitation is a testament to his belief in God and his strength and will to get back on the right road, the hard road.

He's made his peace with God, family, friends and former enemies and his good virtues and love have been rewarded with a second chance.

This book is a must read for those that have been and could be tempted into a destructive lifestyle and the friends and loved ones of those who find themselves trapped in the same circumstances.

This book is a great example of how tough it is to grow up in the hood...

I've known Robert Vidal for a very long time, first as a friend of my father and then my friend. After I read his book, I learned new things about him that opened my eyes to a new world so many unfortunate people must live in. This world is a world full of drugs, crime, and killing. This book is one of the most powerful I have read and influences to stay away from a life of crime. This book is not only a well-told tale, but it also teaches you that in life some decisions we make can turn our lives in a totally different direction. Robert Vidal entertained me and taught that valuable lesson in his book. This book is definitely movie material! - JOHNSJR91

Classroom Under Construction Offers Magical Connection

Rich Grimes' CLASSROOM UNDER CONSTRUCTION speaks to the very heart of effective educating. Grimes introduces new (and familiar but perhaps forgotten) techniques to help the teacher connect with every student on an individual level, with that connection recognized as a prerequisite to the student's academic success. He introduces easy-to-use practices to make the classroom hum smoothly along: Like learning the pronunciation of the student's name and using it frequently when speaking with the student, an attitude that assumes meaningful purpose in the context of classroom participation. Grimes is great at describing activities that encourage student participation. His idea of homework that goes beyond the student, getting parents and the extended family excited and involved, is a sure contributor to the student's motivation for doing well. He explains the teacher's personal belief system in terms of how it dictates the teacher's treatment of students and the assigning of homework and grades.

Classroom Under Construction is fun to read and has a way of becoming your friend before you've turned many pages. The author's stories of his own classroom experiences, the teaching tales of his colleagues and personal anecdotes from his childhood add spice to an enlightening, meaningful tome for teachers.

Rich Grimes wants you to be "the guide on the side" as you help students reach their highest. In his book, Rich draws upon his years of educational experience ,his great communication skills, and his terrific wit to show teachers a way to be their best in the classroom. As a former university student of Mr. Grimes, allow me to say that if you haven't been lucky enough to see Rich Grimes in person, reading this book is the next best thing! It is a workshop in print - useful information, insightful examples and practically jargon-free. This book is a must for the novice and the seasoned professional!

Classroom Under Construction is filled with practical thoughts and ideas that will help teachers develop student-friendly principles and become caring and loving teachers. It takes the reader through ways of discovering and implementing effective instruction. The author uses the book in hopes of conveying methods, techniques, and strategies that will allow teachers to do their jobs better.
He leads you through the process of defining your personal teaching philosophy that will become the basis as to how you teach and apply yourself in the classroom. The book shows how the correct use of a person's name can make a difference in how they respond to you. It allows the teacher and student to establish respect for each other as well as leading to a road of understanding that helps facilitate learning.
Classrooms are seen as a community 'under construction' where the teacher is the contractor and the student the sub-contractor with each depending on the other to complete the job of providing a culture in the classroom that is conducive to learning. Another suggestion to help children learn is by allowing participation in the process by keeping them engaged throughout classroom jobs.
"Classroom Under Construction" is a book that will refresh, enlighten, and excite educators. Mr. Grimes takes the many issues in the classroom and gives ideas and suggestions on how to make teaching and learning better for all involved. It is a book all educators should have in their personal, professional library. It is a must read, win-win book.

Do you remember that one special teacher who always encouraged you to do your best and really cared about your life? After reading this book, that person could have been author Rich Grimes. His goal for this book is to ensure that children in America get what they deserve: the best education available. To assist, he has written this "workshop in a book."

As a teacher you will love reading about your noble profession and learn key strategies to stay committed through tough times-"a labor of love." As a home educator, I found his chapter "Making the Grade" most useful and have already implemented changes in my approach for positive results.

The author is available for staff development training and professional consultation. Don't wait, teachers, read this book now.

Rich Grimes shares the knolwedge he's gleaned from his 35 years in education. The information contained in CLASSROOM UNDER CONSTRUCTION will strike a chord with student-teachers and well as experienced teachers. I plan to give a copy to a recent graduate student who will be starting her first year of teaching in the fall. Howver, any teacher would enjoy this workshop-in-a-book. Rich Grimes inspires and encourages teachers to get to know their students by the name the student prefers to be called. Little details can make a difference in motivating students to achieve their personal best.

As a homeschooling parent, I gained some insight into clarrroom management strategies for collaborative learning situations. I especially agree with Mr. Grimes's "ABC Redo" grading system, which shifts the focus away from grades and onto skill mastery.

I read this book about two years ago and return to it frequently. It is filled with ways I can meet with God while also meeting the needs of my children. I've recommened this book many times to friends. It gave me hope that I don't have to live as a frazzled mom alienated from God.

I first heard about this book from an online journaling group. The very name called to me. I knew then I had to have it and I was not disappointed. The subtitle is "Restoring Rich Relationship with God in the Midst of Motherhood." I had to hear how this then mother of three could manage a relationship with God while mired down in the quagmire of motherhood. And she proposes not just any relationship, but a rich relationship! I had to know more. The author, Ann Kroeker, states in the first chapter, "I can't guarantee goose bumps, but I propose that it is possible for everyone to restore a rich relationship with God. Yes, even busy women in the midst of motherhood." Hallelujah! It could be done. Ann gives practical tips to finding time to be alone with God. I recommend this book to every mother - no matter what the stage of your motherhood - new mom, tenured mom, empty nester. Pick up your copy today and find a love like no other.

I reference it all the time in speeches!

I love Ann's book. As a Christian writer, I read a lot to get my own creative juices flowing, but this one hit me where I live--as a half-crazed mom of two wanting nothing more than to be a good servant of Jesus and a decent wife and mother to boot. Ann Kroeker pulls it all together: She gives you the tools to begin and good coverage of the methods to True Sanity through the madness, regardless of where you are in your faith walk. Check it out!

I think I need to read this book again! What an amazing book written by a mom of three young daughters - and she still has her intellect together enough to be reading the heavier-weight Christian books! These books mine the depths of the Christian faith. Yes, they take extra effort, but I believe that if we make that effort, we will be rewarded by having a richer devotional life.

After I wrote my last review, the author wrote me an email, which was just great! I want to write her - and now I don't have her email! So Ann, if you're reading this, please email me again (click on See More About Me for my email address)! I have a couple questions for you about some of the books you were reading.

If you're a mom who wants a little more depth to your devotional life, this book is for YOU!!
