I have purchased several different Construction Dictionaries in the past, and the Means Illustrated Dictionary has been the one I re-order and give to my staff to use as thier Construction Bible.

Mechanismo contains "The stuff that dreams are made of " to quote Humphrey Bogart in "The Maltese Falcon" and like that special bird, Mechanismo gives flight to our imagination. To dream is to journey to far-off places. Mechanismo gives us a ticket to places that don't yet exist, but like Arthur C. Clarke and his imaginings of satellites, today's dreams are tomorrow's reality. We should thank the creative people who put together books like Mechanismo, they will move us toward a positive and peaceful future with their flights of fancy.

I found the book very well laid out and clearly written. It is very practical for both the new and established medical practice. The tips are very useful.

This "handbook" is actually quite large and comprehensive. It covers areas relating to starting a practice (this section is especially helpful and includes a very realistic timetable from conception of a practice to seeing patients), enrolling with health insurance carriers both private and public, buy/sell agreements, employment, and retirement plans as well as many other things. With this book a physician has the resources available to start up a practice without incurring huge costs from a consultant. In addition to the text portion of the book, a CD-ROM is included with form letters and schedules to use as needed. I highly recommend this book for those individuals new and even not-so-new to solo/private medical practice.

I've only skimmed the book for content, not read it yet. I was seeking a book to help with internal controls for my husbands medical practice. I am a CPA. This book may be slightly light on that topic, but it was very comprehensive as to running a practice, not just the accounting side of it. After I read through this book I will probably be ready to run the office myself - doing everything but the operations! It was costly so I was apprehensive to buy it, but I think it'll be worth the cost.

I also love this book and I learned alot from it and I also got alot out of the class.

When I was in 2nd grade my fellow classmates and I would line up outside the library door to be the first to make it to the Munch Bunch shelf. They were excellenct reads. Being that they were part of a series, one never had to worry about running out of stories. They're perfect for getting kids excited about reading by themsleves.

The only one of it's kind that looks at and demonstrates different styles of guitar playing in one book. A nice overview of different styles of guitar playing and the elements involved. The CD that is included is very useful.

Dr. Mike Goodman has written a survival guide for men. In seven concise, informative chapters Dr. Goodman offers insight into the complex interaction of man's midlife crisis experience with the woman's menopause symptoms.

In easy to understand layman's terms, written for men, Dr. Mike helps the reader understand menopause, how it affects his partner, help available, the impact on their sex life, hints on being helpful, and the male change of life.

In a conversational style Dr. Goodman guides the reader in ways to support his partner's menopause, to improve sexual intimacy, and to end up with a stronger relationship. He outlines the issues, and explains the physiology. An entire chapter is dedicated to providing pointers on "How to be Useful", things that are "Not Useful" and "What to do When Nothing Will Help."

Dr. Goodman as a Certified Menopausal Practitioner and sex therapist is well qualified to author this book. He writes with a unique understanding of both a woman's and man's perspectives. His remarkable communication skills enable him to convey knowledge in an enjoyable writing style.

very comprehensive, well-organized text that covers a variety of topics relevant to military psychiatry. areas of interest include addressing burnout, ethical issues, consultation to command, psychiatric aspects of disease in service members, training program guidelines, terrorism, hostage negotiation, and much more. the book is a series of excellent articles with a strong research base. informative yet practical approaches are given throughout the book. as a former military psychologist, i can say that this book addresses some important areas of concern, with ethics at the top of the list. in the face of command requests for information, practitioners frequently struggle with ethical propriety--balancing the needs of the command with what is in the best interest of the patient--and this book spends some looking at some ethical challenges, even dating back to lessons learned from vietnam.
