I really enjoyed this audiobook. It's extremely literary (something often lacking in the erotica genre), and also very sexy. A very believable tale about a young woman's sexual coming of age. Definitely recommended.

I haven't enjoyed a book as much as this for a long time. I've read this book at least four times and refer to it on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the average Christian and/or "sinner" (non christian) will not have any inclination as to why this book is so relevant.

Gerard Reed has validated a lifetime of dissatisfaction I've had with contemporary Christianity and solidified my determination to continue to seek God despite my faults and the hypocrisy of modern churches.

I've read Lewis for years and the underlying current of unconditional love and overpowering strength of God's love has been completely realized in "...The Bright Shadow of Holiness".

Your passion just might be God's calling card! The idea that God is a creator/architect and the ideals that we, naturally, come about during our lives, may just be evidence of the divine. Lewis recognized later in life that the "joy" he felt when he was having revelation of a thing, or the appreciation of beauty and perfection, may have been the wooing of the Holy Spirit, drawing him to God. This book describes in detail the possibility that God may have been active in your life, whether or not you've sought it out. You may be closer to God than you think.

I keep extra copies to give to friends and family.

The book is genius!

Thought holiness was stiff, legalistic and restricting? This book will change the way you see yourself and the way you see God. Holiness is explained the way it has always meant to be. Enjoy it. You won't regret owning this book.

Last year I bought Helena Nelson-Reed's Call of the Goddess calendar and loved it, so naturally I had to have the new one as well. I can look at her paintings for hours and still discover new details. Further more it is the perfect calendar for everyone who likes mythology and love their Goddess.

I purchased this as a gift and had to fight myself from keeping it! The artwork is beautiful and the information included for each month is very information and interesting.

I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in beauty, and especially those who appreciate the emergence and rise of the Goddess Religions again.

But buy if for the beauty alone.

Only problem is, Suzy is a cat, so she has no way of phoning home for help and finds herself on an adventure in England as she tries to return to her native France. Paul Howard's delightful and fun drawings embellish a fine story for grades 3-4.

Did you ever see a cat water skiing? I read a book about a cat how did. It is called The Cat Who Wanted To Go Home by Jill Tomlinson. My book is about a cat that gets lost. He tries to get back home. This is a great book because it is very exciting. One of the exciting pictures is when the cat swims in the water to catch up with a boat. I think the author is trying to tell you keep trying. Do you think the cat will ever get back home?

Written by health, fitness, and martial arts expert Linda Davis Kyle as a straightforward introduction to self-improvement through learning self-defense, Change Your Life With Martial Arts is a very thoroughly "reader friendly" guide to how martial arts can be employed to enhance daily life. This superbly presented, step-by-step instructional guide to finding the best martial arts school for oneself and one's family, how to guard against overtraining, and so much more, Change Your Life With Martial Arts is commended for providing a basic overview which is especially suited for newcomers to the exciting, physically and emotionally enhancing world of the martial arts.

An Essential Introduction to the Martial Arts
Reviewer: Billie A. Williams from Bayfield, CO, United States
The wealth of information in Change Your Life with Martial Arts is sure to guide readers in choosing a martial art most suited to them.

In chapter one, author Linda Davis Kyle highlights a generous sampling from the vast array of martial arts and their founders or grandmasters, gives tidbits of the origins of the arts and how they may relate to each other, and annotates the references for each. She also summarizes the goals of a selection of the various martial arts and the qualities that each attempts to instill in their dedicated practitioners.

In chapter two, the author tells the benefits and rewards of martial arts no matter which one you choose. She says that "The martial arts nurture a fine balance of body and mind that helps to create physical endurance and mental ruggedness" and stresses that the aggression and violence sometimes portrayed in martial arts movies veers far from the traditions of being humble, honorable, respectful, responsible, and ethical, which are the true goals of martial arts practitioners.

In chapter three, Kyle takes readers through the process of selecting a teacher and suggests qualities to look for in the instructor and the school itself.

With appendixes that glimpse into the topics of overtraining and the impact of exercise on children and a list of directories, federations, institutions, and organizations associated with the various martial arts and suppliers of equipment, Kyle has prepared a user-friendly manual to help interested learners to get onto the right track to begin the study and practice of these ancient arts. The book also may serve more advanced martial artists by placing at their fingertips more than 70 other useful resources.
This book is not only for those looking to begin training in one of the martial arts for better physical and mental health, but also I would highly recommend Change Your Life with Martial Arts to those seeking a higher consciousness and inner peace, for as the author says, "The influence of martial arts overflows into every aspect of the practitioner's life."

A Unique Reference for Astrology and Developmental Psych

I've recently become insterested in Astrology after reading Richard Tarnas's opus "Cosmos and Psyche". This semester I was enrolled in a Developmental Psychology course and I thought, there must be a way this material can be modeled with Astrology. Half way thru writing my paper for the class based on that idea, I came across this book. Scofield has already laid the groundwork here for this fascinating area of study. I'd recommend this book to any student of Astrology or Psychology with an open mind.

Astrology at its best

This book has not yet received the attention it deserves. The author presents a model of personality development that correlates psychological research with planetary cycles. The result is a fascinating account of human development as seen in the unfolding of the natal chart. The ideas are fresh, novel, and compelling. No matter what your level of astrological expertise, Scofield's text will enhance your understanding of the birth chart. This is a book every astrologer should read, and I recommend it highly.

Ran across this book when it was first published eons ago. I have always been captivated by Schiffer's breath-taking beauty and allure. Sexy beyond words, yet never trashy, always regal in her body of work.
I remember the book showcasing Claudia's advertisements and publicity photos and being blown away with her simply overwhelming camera presence.

Sadly, I never purchased the book on it's release and will have to await for a good bargain copy to snag.
If you remember this teutonic gooddess as the world-stopping peak of feminine evolution like I did; then this book is certainly what you're looking for.

The guidance offered in "The Coming Widow Boom" is of value to anybody interested in a balanced and common sense approach to financial planning, retirement and/or "the inevitable." Mr. Thomas takes into account the whole person in a book that on the one hand gives comfort and confidence to the grieving, and on the other, serves as a gentle reminder to the professionals who guide those who have faced a loss, that behind the wills, trusts, bank accounts and IRAs there are real people, physical, emotional and spiritiual beings.

Offering sympathy as well as solid strategies for coping.

Written by James F. Thomas, Jr. CFP, CLU, The Coming Widow Boom: What You and Your Loved Ones Can Do to Prepare for the Unthinkable is a no-nonsense guide to practical financial planning, especially for women, and especially in the modern era when women inevitably tend to outlive men. Chapters discuss how to determine who to trust (advisors who finish one's sentences or talk too much about themselves are best avoided), empowering oneself emotionally and financially, constructing a vision for the future, and more. The Coming Widow Boom is unique in that it addresses both the monetary and the emotional impacts of losing a spouse, offering sympathy as well as solid strategies for coping. Highly recommended for widowers as well as for widows.
