OK pretty close to it--I'm his sister so I cant really get away with that, but I ought to know--he can be dry and a bit
windy at times, but he's spirited like a right jolly old elf with
a fine mastery of American Civil War history. It didnt hurt
growing up with a brother like Chippie (we nick named him) to teach you to appreciate the morals and structures that
our nation was based upon as well as to develop your sense of curiousity about war and to appreciate the men who gave their lives for this nation. All of his books are great! and Chip,if you're checking this out, I didnt REALLY intentionally mean to embarrass you! :) love, Melanie

This book is about a genuine journey of faith. I was able to relate to many of the struggles that Father Powell wrote about. Instead of always portraying himself as Mr. Enthusiastic, he writes about both triumphs and struggles in prayer. This book is excellent for someone who is struggling to grow in his/her faith as well as someone who thinks he/she has it all together.

By the way, this book was originally pubished under the title He Touched Me.

An excellant starting point for anyone interested in learning about the "Spanish Black Legend." I first encountered this book during my studies at the University of Michigan. Having experienced first-hand many of the stereo-types discussed in the book, it was extremely helpful in healing many old wounds. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Spanish culture and/or anyone of Hispanic origin.

Wonderful full-sized quilting designs. The wrong picture is shown for this book. If you read the title in the picture you will see that it isn't the same title that's being sold.

I purchased the book for the superb illustrations, which are by the author, but was pleasantly amazed by the fantastic writing. The accounts are creative and well written. Each story - some of which are only one page long - give new insights of pure imagination. She deals with some ancient themes, and well as incredible explanations of the mystical world. You will not be able to put it down, until you finish the entire book, and you will definitely want to hold on to it.

Silly sharp word play, gritty settings, piercing problems, and deadly accuracy keep these stories soaring high. A funny, deadpan, searching, and haunting collection by a stylist with a big heart. Yummy.

A clear, readable and intelligent guide, which, as its title suggests, starts from the premise that understanding autistic ways of thinking and learning is necessary for effective teaching.

This is an excellent book for those who are new to the concept's of radioactive waste and management. It not only include's information related to the types of hazardous waste, but also includes law and future projections on the subject matter. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in this subject.

Having spent the last nine years involved in my own research into the life and work of Dawn Powell, I was unprepared for the richness and depth of Marcelle Smith Rice's fresh take on this extraordinary author. I learned a great deal from this book -- and enjoyed every bit of it. Rice's prose is clear, welcoming, insightful and detailed, and she has written an affectionate and appropriate study.
