Don't wast your money on this publication.

There were no color pages in the book I received. No mention of the Continental T. all the photos were Black and White (no problem here), but they were unprofessional (seemingly taken on a cheap low res. digital camera) as was the typesetting (Arial font way too large!).

I ordered this book three times from Amazon, and each time the order was mysteriously cancelled, supposedly because I did not respond to an e-mail asking me to ok a delay in the order. I never received an e-mail like that. But it seems that even though Amazon offers the book, they don't actually have it to sell. I had to look far and wide to find anyone who did have it in stock to sell. I enjoyed the play itself quite a bit, but obtaining it in the original language is almost impossible.

Rarely have I been so disapointed with a book. In fact this isn`t a book, its a sparse collection of data loosely assembled with some poor quality pictures masquerading as a book. I`ve no idea who the author Colin Pitt LLB with Honours is, but he should be ashamed at his efforts , he obviously knows nothing about the subject matter, doesn`t bother to research anything and has no idea how to present photographs. W124 enthusiats will find nothing of value whatsoever in this publication.
I`ve been collecting motoring books for many years and have never seen anything so badly written and poorly presented. Vanity publishing at its very worst!

It's difficult knowing what to say about this book as it follows closely my narrative in my book When Britain Ruled the Philippines 1762-1764. The sections on the British invasion of Manila, Philippines in 1762 are almost exact copies of passages in my own book. I'm not sure how to respond to someone who has taken my work and reworked it for their own use even though I spent years involved in researching materials for my book.

I would rather boil myself alive than read this man's "work" ever again. I certainly hope Mr. Young didn't exert any effort in bringing this abortion to life. I wish I could have the few minutes back in my life wasted on reading this travesty. That old adage about judging a book by it's cover.....well the cover should give it all away.
