I love Marion Thede's 'The Fiddle Book. One of the most useful aspects of this book is that tunes are notated both 'as they sound' and as they are written, if the fiddle was tuned in standard tuning. In other words, you cross tune your fiddle, and then play from the music as if you were in GDAE tuning. Fantastic.

Fiddle music isn't just for country bumpkins. It's just one more style that provides variety. Each song provides an historical background, the melody, and a trio - suitable for all abilities...and fun to play!

This is a great cook book for people that like to cook on the grill. Not just any grill, but a charcoal fueled grill. These recipes can easily be converted to be used on my ceramic grill. The recipes are what I would call 'manly man' and the book is full of 'meat 'n tater' recipes, i.e, Beef & Beer Stew, Steak & Eggs, Beef Barley Bake, stews, chili, biscuits, casserole, desserts, etc. Great scenic pictures from the west are throughout the book. I plan on buying a couple more for gifts.

This book is about the super cool and funny adventures of a boy and his robot trying to turn their latest invention, a robotic dog named Sbot, into a "real" dog. They visit various dog planets and end up in New York City, where they realize that Sbot is great just the way he is.

I bought this book along with a few others and it has truely helped me develop a curriuclum for my high school Art of Film class. The DVD examples help to visually understand the concepts and I enjoyed it for my own knowledge as well.

Historians have shown that fish has always played a great part in Egyptian life. This book explores in detail the importance of fish, its economic, artistic and religious significance as well as fishing tools, methods and techniques. It also describes and illustrated 20 types of fish known to the Ancient Egyptians. This is an excellent book for archeologists to identify fish bones.

Dennis Phillips uses a lot of heart and mind in The Fishers. His down-to-earth yet creative style holds the interest of his readers. This is a book that you will read and want to pass along.

My daughter just LOVES this book! She has loads of fun lifting the flaps and counting the objects. The bright colours attract her attention every time. A must for your childs library.
