Perfect for children as young as 2+, this charming and beautifully illustrated tale of a little girl and her favorite stuffed
rabbit enchanted my three year old granddaughter. We read it about ten times over this past weekend. In addition to being
a lovely story, the book served as her introduction to Paris and to a few new words both French and English. Highly recommended
for imaginative children.

This is a lovely book. We got it from the library, and now must own it. My twin four year old boys were enthralled. I had
to read it over again immediately. Its a wonderfully illustrated book with beautiful scenes from Luxembourg's Garden. Children
will be caught up in the lost toy's journey through the park and eventual reunion with her little girl. Excellent story,
charming illustrations. Highly recommend.

Romance and Suspense in Yellowstone

Linda Jacobs has done it again with this third novel in her Yellowstone series.
This time the setting is 1900 and Cord Sutton, is traveling from the Grand Tetons to the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone when he rescues heiress, Laura Fielding from a stagecoach robbery. Both of them are hiding secrets as they travel through the wilderness together only to have more than just their hidden identities to deal with once they arrive. Ms. Jacobs weaves an intriguing and interesting storyline while she treats you to park and surrounding area history, flora and fauna and the splendors of Yellowstone. I highly recommend not only this book both both of her previous books: Summer of Fire and Rain of Fire.

In 1900 Chicago heiress Laura Fielding travels by stagecoach to meet her father at the Lake Hotel near Yellowstone. However,
robbers stop her coach, but a cowboy Cord Sutton saves her life. He safely guides her to her destination, which he assumes
is her place of employment as he believes she is a maid at the Lake Hotel.
During the three day trek, strong feelings grow between them. However, In Yellowstone, he finds out how wealthy she is as the heiress daughter of a rival bidder for ownership of the Lake Hotel; and she learns who he really is. Still neither Laura nor Cord can stop from falling in love with one another. However, his being twenty-five percent Nez Perce makes him unsuitable for her almost as much as his being her father's business competitor and his Indian heritage makes him a target of the law forcing him to flee before twisted justice occurs.
Readers will enjoy this Americana romance that brings to life the business expansion across the western states. Fans will feel they are in Wyoming in 1900 as Linda Jacobs paints a vivid picture of the stagecoach trek and the town of Yellowstone at a time when the country celebrated the start of a new century. The star-crossed romance augments the historical elements of the well written engaging LAKE OF FIRE.

Have you ever wondered why we don't find color photographs of today as emotion-evoking as the black and white photographs
of the great masters like Ansel Adams or Edward Weston? Come and see this book, you will find photographs that will noursih
your soul and raise your spirit. Photographs that will speak to yourself. Photographs that you can look at again and again
and you will discover newer meanings each time. William Neill, one of the best color photographers of the day, has the mastery
of color of Joel Meyerowitz, the love for wildness of Eliot Porter and the sensitivity of Edward Weston. This book is a compilation
of 72 of the best color images of the photographer taken during the span of fifeteen years. All the photographs were taken
using a 4x5 view camera and has exquisite image detail. At the end of the book, Neill briefly describes each image with background
information and technical details. Buy this book and if possible visit one of the galleries like Ansel Adams gallery to view
the big size fine art prints of William Neill for even more appreciation. I guarantee after reading this book, you will look
at our wild treasures in a new way.

I've read the whole complete series of Let's Be Perverts which is 4 volumes long. It states it's for 16 years of age and
up due to nudity & sexual themes.
The artwork is beautiful. The author draws people, especially women real well. In between chapters, he draws girls in various sexy nude (from the top) poses. He explains that he wrote/drew these books when he was young and lusted over sex and bodies like most young people.
The storyline is good, humorous & full of sex themes. I will not spoil the story but it is basically about a high school guy who is naive about sexual matters who is accused of being a pervert by accident and tries to shake that image off. Is he a pervert or not is what the story is about. His name happens to be Perverto which is funny as well.

From cover to cover, there is no page that fails to give insight. Each photo, drawing, and map offers details that will interest
anyone who has ever visited "the Grand Canyon of the East". This book is a pictorial walk through history, and despite that
I grew up visiting the park; I feel more connected now than ever before, to the place, to the history, and to the people who
came before. Breslin, Cook, et al have done a masterful job. Now, let's see what else Images of America has to offer.

I really enjoyed the edited journals. They are a nice contrast to other books that just concentrate on a few events. The
maps were a nice addition and the campsite locations telling me where they were was something I missed in all other books.
A must addition to your library of Lewis and Clark.

I enjoyed the quick read of the journals. I was
surprised that there wer so many other things they did
that other books don't spend time on. The maps added
a lot. Especially liked the Oregon and Washington part. I
think they would be a wonderful addition to a high school
or college history class.

I finally got around to reading Lincoln Park after more than a year after purchasing it. It seemed such a downer story idea;
abducted children. But when I read it! It was one of the most hopeful novels I've ever experienced. The way a family and
a community came together to grapple with the terrible reality of child abduction. The story was absolutely compelling, beautifully
crafted. A must read for those who wish to understand the human condition.

Tremendous new release by what is destined to be one of America's great writers. Vin Smith absolutely nails the fear and
confusion that parents experience when a child is abducted. It's like the reader is right there with V. J. Dixon, as his child
is snatched in the Northwest woods. The way he weaves the townsmen and women and extended family into the search is nothing
short of breathtaking writing. Crackling dialogue, edge-of-your-seat page turner. Also he uses no wasted pages, the book
is very lean, yet dense in its storytelling style. The reader is never shortchanged. I'll read anything he writes.

I've lived in LP since I was four i.e 1966, after my dad retured from serving the U.S. Army in Germany. I was suprised to
see my old elementary school (Raupp) in one of he pictures; it showed where I spent my kindergarten in Mrs. Huda's class.
Teachers I remember from Raupp: Mrs. Avery, Mrs. Zavereese, Mr. Knaggs and the always serious and proper pricipal Mr. Furgeson.
I remember evening Dodgeball on "Boy's Night" in the school auditorium/gym. Many memories. Raupp is gone and a new school
built where the baseball parks were located. This book really is done very well with all the history of L.P. anyone would
want. I may pick it up for the record.

So many memories. I grew up in Lincoln Park as did my mother and I know she would also have loved this book. Congratulations
to the people who did all the research. May their good works continue and possibly publish a volume 2.

It's around 30 dollars, which is 2~3 times of an ordinary polar bear book.
However, what you get is like 4~5 times better and more inside stuffs. The pictures and words inside are much better than those smaller books.
If someone who does love polar bears and want to have a excellent book, this is it. Think in other way, we should sometimes buy this more costly but much better books to support the authors to have better products in the future! In fact 200 pages/30 dollars is more worthy than 50 pages/10 dollars and don't forget contents, indexes ... etc will always occupy ~10 pages for all books!

love in this book.
She has a dream of holding; even if just for a second a baby bear; this book brought her so close. The pictures left both of us speachless, and made us feel as though we were standing right next to the wonderful photographer.Beautiful, beautiful, huge, full, and beautiful!!!

Live! Don't Diet! contains RECOGNIZABLE and familiar dishes -- a real lifesaver if you're attempting to make lifestyle changes
and have children in the house. Recipes are generally fast & easy to follow with non-exotic ingredients you're bound to have
in your low-fat kitchen. For those just making the switch to a low-fat diet, this is the way to go. I have a dozen or
so LF cookbooks, and this is always the FIRST I recommend to folks moving to Low-Fat eating.
Wonderful recipes--there's no way these are lowfat!

I purchased this book 6/18/98 and began reading and following the guidelines along with experimenting with several of these
recipes. My entire family is now eating low-fat (without their knowledge!) and loving it!! My goal is to lose a total
of 51 pounds, and as of 8/25/98 I have lost 29 pounds (without exercise!-- I can only imagine if I had stuck with my exercise
program!). Already I feel much better, and I would like to give most of the credit to this great book. I am anxious to
purchase the follow-up book (Exceed the Feed Limit) but am unable to make this purchase at this time. If you're looking
for low-fat recipes that don't taste "low-fat", then this is definitely the book for you. Like Shrimp Scampi? My favorite--try
this recipe, you'll never miss the fat. I've prepared entire meals for small dinner parties using recipes out of this book
with more positive comments on each dish than I've ever received before -- I never told them that they were eating a healty,
low-fat meal until after the dishes were put away! This book has taught me a new way of living, it's not just a "DIEt".
I want to thank Vicki for putting her recipes in print. Good luck to everyone who picks up up a copy of this book and has
any amount of success with it. Happy, healty eating! Tammy L.
