Hats off to Dr. Bradley, whose interpretive, integrative, and deductive abilities are obviously surging, at this early point
in his career. Never before have I read anything about De Maistre that pierced so painfully, to the point of seeing his logic
as it applies to us all. It made me proud, and ashamed. Compelling.

The very concept of grammar - a system in which language can be fixed, structured and therefore transformed - is one of the
great achievements of Indian culture. In the past 50 years philosophers and linguists have devoted enormous intellectual
energies to the investigation of how the concept was developed among the thinkers of ancient India, for whom the idea became
a central problem in their philosophical tradition. Was language, our faculty for naming objects, given by God or did man
invent it, either on his own or with powers borrowed from the divine realm?
Through a species of time-space journey akin to Hanuman's, Octavio Paz explores this dilemma: ''What is language made of,'' he asks, ''and most important of all, is it already made, or is it something that is perpetually in the making?''

This monograph has good text and lots of photographic images for anyone who loves period houses. What sets it apart from
other books of its kind is the inclusion of pages of detailed drawings by the architects. The illustrations are absolutely
magnificant and very educational for those interested in how these intricate works went from the minds of the architects
to actual built works of enduring beauty. A very good book.

As a consultant and counsellor / therapist I cannot underestimate the value of the use metaphor in influencing, training and
learning and this book is a fantastic source for that. It goes with me everywhere. Nick has collected some wonderful, thought
provoking and emotional stories that will make you think, laugh, cry and I guarantee it will affect who you might work with
similarly. Not only that, but the stories are cleverly woven into an overarching story supported by opportunities to develop
different perspectives through the application of two wonderful world theories. Anyone that works with others in developing
learning or understanding will gain from this book. It's in my top 5!

Mr. Lee challenges us to live in harmony with the planet and the sea and each other!

Mother Nature, My Nature - Nature's Rebellion is a timely work and I found it a read full of critical ideas and issues facing
the world, the sea and all living things. It is my opinion, Mr. Lee, with his work with sustainability, as outlined in his
book, stands amongst the ranks of Thor Heyerdahl (In the Foodsteps of Adam) and James Lovelock (The Revenge of Gaia). Of
course, Mr. Lee was an underwater cameraman with on the Calypso with Jacques-Yves Cousteau who consecrated his life to teaching
the world "about marvels that are at once exotic to us and yet ordinary in the abyss of the ocean"-Al Gore. Mr. Lee started
a Nature Study Center at Las Gatas reef in Zihuatanejo, Mexico 40 years ago, and continued to teach the tenants of symbiosis
and ways to serve Mother Nature. The scope of Mother Nature, My Nature is vast. In one book one can learn the scientific
basis of natural selection and evolution of humanity, the development of cultural subsistence patterns, the negative impacts
of technology on living systems, the reality and impact of global warming, overpopulation and the destructive force of the
animal id. Mr. Lee offers prescriptive guidelines for "right living" in balance with nature and confronts the issues of destructive
religious faiths as challenged by the current works of Richard Dalkins (The God Delusion) and Sam Harris (The End of Faith).
Mr. Lee, in his late years, as Doctors Heyerdahl and Lovelock, caution us that the ocean is our mother and Gaia is very much
alive and, that life will always go on. But, the human "virus", unless drastic changes are implemented globally, may soon
run its course... Mother Nature, My Nature is a power book that can catalyze significant life changes, if read with openness
and discipline. Mr. Lee joins the ranks of dedicated and insightful activists trying to steer the course of people in nature
to a sustainable future.

Magnificence in a dramatisation

Many an hour I have spent over the internet searching for a play as profound and far-reaching as this magnum opus. I consider
Chris Owen a wonder in the making, who can portray the beauty of a life so cruel and heart-rendering as the protragonists
of this play. This raw ability to write script as if it were reality has been cultured by few yet, and the writer is one of
these. The story builds to a climactic finish, and all is resolved with the subtle use of Verfremdungseffekt. This wonderfully
passionate storyline alongside the bitterly callous unfolding of the human spirit emphasises the author's genius.

My pastor (Ron Barker) let me read his book "Full Surrender". This has got to be the best book on walking the walk I have
ever read. In the most practical way it describes all the questions I have ever had and conflicts that exsist in my life.
This book should be kept close to you at all times. No telling how many sermons and bible studies have or will come from
here!!!

I never thought that I could sympathize with a woman who threw furniture. Edith Piaf is so full of love in her honesty about
her wretched start in life, that after a few chapters I was ready to forgive anything. Drug addiction, alchoholism, squandering
money, desperate liasons, you name it, and this was the '50's. Is that Piaf singing on the old record in the subway scene
in Amelie? Maybe that's why I bought the book but I liked it, anyway.

A journey of a twenty something struggling between love, social demands, and modern sexuality. Heavy ideas delivered in simple
prose, well written and brilliantly delivered. Named the 'Catcher in the Rye' for our generation, this book is simply a 'must
read' for the current bevy of disillusioned graduates and cynics.

The product description above is incredibly complete. The only thing I can add is that this version will give you the tools
to study these areas for the rest of your life! The author has made this the quintessential sourcebook. Even if you have purchased
an edition from another publisher, your extra money will be well spent.
