Owen Books

I have found that students can benefit greatly from working through Owen's short chapters on central Christian topics. He is always clear and focused. This is a great tool for teaching how to read Theology intelligently.

Dr. Richard Daniels' work is as pastoral as it is scholarly. He mines the depths of John Owen, and his Puritan contemporaries, and from them presents the reader with a clear and beautiful portrait of the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church would do well to pay careful attention to such great teachers of the past and thereby avoid many of the false teachings and heresies that are so prevalent today. I would like to commend Dr. Daniels for his outstanding work and encourage anyone interested in the teaching of John Owen or simply in having a clearer understanding of the Christian faith to consider reading this book.

I'm a brazilian medical student and about 2 years ago I was recommended this book from a Pediatrics Professor, long after his classes were over I still insisted on buying it and didn't regret. It's contents are more than excelent as well as the format of the book itself. Loads of pictures, loads of colors. Simply Fantastic!

"Open Space Technology: A User's Guide" introduces a new concept for businesses to follow known as open space technology, where groups can self-organize in a short amount of time. To implement the technique into one's business, "Open Space Technology" lays out a step by step guide including all the resources one needs to get ideas off the ground. The third edition features a survey of open space technology's current usage around the world and an updated list of resources. A highly recommended book for both personal and community library business collections.

This book is the best source of information on the pottery produced by J.B. Owens. Well written with good descriptions of the various lines produced by this company.

This book was a great tool for my algebra class. The examples were concise and easy to understand. One of the outstanding features of this book was the well integrated technology lessons. There is a resource appendix dedicated to the functions of the graphing calculator. This made the course more meaningful and applicable. I have tried to take this course unsucessfully before with two different books, but I was able to understand and comprehend the material this time. This book should be used for all college algebra courses and deserves 5 stars!

This book is for those who wish to Know God and deeply. No playing here. This is a very slow read. A great meditation book also.

This is one of the best, most clever ever, ideas! The plastic disc cases contain disc-sized books, spiral bound, of wonderful recipes from a renowed hostess in San Antonio, Texas.
COMPACT DISH !!! ... the recipes are short and easy to accomplish! The selection includes "breads and breakfast", "double income - no kids", "cashual chic", "Rush hour" ... clever titles too, aren't they?! My son's favorite is "home on the range" for recipes to cook quail, duck and venison or to eat while ON the hunt; and there are fish recipes as well.

I found myself caught up in this book from cover to cover the night I received it. The author has a sarcastic humor yet a realistic serious approach to giving you the low down on everything that has to do with law schools. See for yourself, there is a chapter for everything from the LSAT (I found that part reallty helpful, the author gives several helpful pointers) to employment considerations, to every law school in the nation! The first half of the book is very practical and is for anyone considering law school, whether the thought crossed your head one time or whether you are applying or planning to go to law school. The second half contains all the 411 on the schools, when to apply, avg GPA/LSAT, ratios, etc. All in all, this book is filled with realistic practical information, and often, things you never realized (like exactly HOW to impress admissions with your personal statement).

A great resource for paper type crafts. From paper mache to origami this book gives you projects you can follow right from the book or inspirations for your own creations. Clear instructions and excellent step by step photos. Tried some of the projects myself with success and had fun with the kids doing it. Great for a sunny day when you want to do something different or are stuck inside on a rainy day.
