Jack Nicholson and Bobby McFerrin are good narrators but strange.... Perhaps we should have read the book before listening
to the CD. This one kind of gave me the creeps and my 4 year old daughter thought there was too much music. Not great for
bedtime. This might be better suit to older children.

I really enjoyed a different book on introduction to legal reasoning and writing, which referenced this cleverly titled book
in a couple footnotes. How to Do Things with Rules is quite focused on English law, and I found it kind of verbose reading
without too much I could really use week to week. The subtitle could be "how to expand any example from 2 pages to 10" !!

on Mission Control Center history. No fotographs.
Can be usefull if interested in how today Space Shuttle missions are controled and good knoledge on comunication systems.

the authors of this book have developed an ingenious strategy for dealing with the recent Second admendment scholarship: ignore
it. It is a masterpiece of propaganda and a good study on how fallacies are applied such as: Appeals to improper authority,
Ad Hominem, Slippery Slopes, Red Herrings, straw man, and the Faulty Analogy. In short, the book is a piece of trash.

The Midwest Book Review calls this book "perfect material for debate class". I have to agree with this, but for different
reasons. This book contains some of the best examples of ad hominum arguments, straw man arguments, appeals to authority,
false and selective citations and other classic tools for liars that I've seen in a long time. If I were still teaching high
school, I would definitely use it in my classes. The contrast between this book and the direct presentation of evidence (including
opposing arguments) in law review journal articles supporting the NRA position (which, by the way, has come to be referred
to as "The Standard Model" due to its overwhelming acceptance by scholars) makes an excellent contrast in styles.
Poses as constitutional scholarship

If you want to read actual scholarship pertaining to the second amendment, look to Laurence Tribe, Andrew McClurg, David Kopel,
Brannon Denning or Sanford Levinson. Going back a ways, try Justice Joseph Story's Commentaries on the Constitution. Henigan's
work is, sad to say, sloppy, ill-reasoned and unapologetically partisan. For scholarship, look to the great jurists - not
to a committed lobbyist. Henigan might just as well have summed up his arguments as "Because that's what I believe: QED."
As his apparent purpose is to ignore the law on this subject, it could have been achieved much more economically by not writing
a book at all.

I don't know who's going to be reading these reviews of an out-of-print book, but if anyone does they will be greatly misled
by the comments here. What this book points out is that if you go to a court, state or federal, and argue that a gun regulation
is unconstitutional because of the 2nd Amendment, you will get nowhere. That's because the courts have held for decades
that the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee an individual a right to own a gun, but guarantees states the rights to form militias.
(Note--these are militias that are under the control of Congress and the president--they are not a groups of armed campers
giving themselves military titles.) This interpretation may be right, it may be wrong, but until it's overturned it's the
law of the land. These reviewers hate this book because they hate the way the courts interpret the amendment--but that's
not the book's fault.

Nothing much here. Just photographs and 95 pages. Sitck with "FROM ZERO TO HERO", from Alan Henry. Even if it was written
before Hill won the tittle in 1996, it has some substance...

Very disappointing book. It does not even complete the contentious 1994 season. Unfortunately this book is only 95 pages
long and half of them are photographs. If the shipping cost of sending this book back wasn't 50% of the purchase price I
would return it immediately. David Sidwell

after reading thru the first chapter, i was totally disappointed with the content of this dry text, it surely tastes like
something from a few self-righteous scholars.
Outsourcing is a subject that needs to be dealt with using vivid stories from the trenches and insights gained via painful experiences. Not something the authors of this book did: tons of references from other titles and theoretical analysis.

Great book if you prepare a thesis about IT outsourcing, useless in all other cases.
This is completlely theorotical, written by university professors.
The authors only discuss the theory of the subject. One example among all others : "Many contemporary writers have emphasized the fundamental role of space-place distinction in comptemporary life and globalization. For example Giddens writes that in traditional societies, space and place largely coincided since social intercation occured under conditions of 'presence'.
1 star because I cannot put less.

This book is not for beginners and it is not very useful for selfstuding. I would say that this book is more interesting for
linguists, or for people, who already has good knowledge of Arabic grammar and likes to refresh it. Also this book was written

Personally I hate books that claim to be `complete guides' immediately you know that there is going to be a lot of stuff
missing. That is certainly true with this book. It has three meager pages at the front of the book dealing with drying.
The rest of the book is taken up with a catalog of different plants that can be used in dried arrangements. Each pages has
one or two plants on it along with a color paintings rather than a photograph. - Personally I prefer photos in a book like
this. There is drying information for each plant but it is buried in the very short text that accompanies each picture rather
than being broken out in a separate heading like other items are. The items broken out - color, region it's native to, height
etc. - to me are not as important as how to dry the plant for use. I was not very impressed with this book, others have done
it much better.

Instead of the claimed intention of debunking the myths of the blundering and ineffectual BEF, the authors have made a fool
of themselves with this second rate polemics.
Doon't bother with other volumes in the series.
