This book is peppered with terrific examples and exercises, driving home both the theoretical and the practical. It's pace
is gentle enough to ensure the reader absorb the basics, but swift enough to keep you on your toes. Nicholson encourages a
high level of consideration and participation from the reader. I was sorry to see it's out-of-print...if you're interested
in linear algebra, you may well want to hunt a copy down.

I have enjoyed reading this wonderful book from cover to cover and refer to it often! This well organized book takes the
reader through the history of postcards; provides valuable suggestions for beginning collectors; instructions for preservation,
restoration, & framing; includes background information on artists A to Z; artfully displays 1100+ common to rare postcards;
and includes a price guide, a glossary, and an extensive bibliography.
Susan Brown Nicholson's, "The Encyclopedia Of Antique Postcards" is a ~must have~ reference tool for all postcard collectors!

I went to England for the first time and loved the countryside! It is so vibrant. My own photographs have never turned out
very well so I bought this book while I was there to capture the England that I fell in love with. It has a wide range of
beautifully photographed cottages and gardens. I am online buying 2 more copies as gifts for friends.

My Favourite Book - Ever

This is one of my favourite books of all time - I even own two copies as the first got damaged by constant use by me, my family
AND my friends. It is a must for anyone who finds the aesthetically pleasing beautiful to behold. Page after page of sumptuous
photography, quite excellently executed camerawork which brings to life the glorious buildings and their histories, accompanied
by short snippets of tantalising information. Thanks to this book I've visited over half of the one hundred or so churches,
many down obscure country lanes forgotten about by the busy world rushing by. No matter what one's religious views the sheer
splendour of these buildings is heavenly.

The Particular Flavor of the Cotswolds

Writer Sarah North with photographer Mark Nicholson take us through a stroll of Cotswold homes in a most unique way. The
Cotswolds region is in central England, covering an area bounded by Oxford, Stratford, Cheltenham and Bath, an area known
for quaint villages and scenic countryside. The term 'Cotswold' for most homeowners conjures visions of serene beauty of
habitat and this excursion brings us closer to those elements that denote the Cotswold flavor.
But what North and Nicholson have elected as a tour is to knock on doors of various citizens who are not necessarily those with wealth, moneywise, but those who make life more beautiful. We visit the homes of florists, designers, craftsmen - the regular people of the streets and lanes of this beautiful region, and the book feels like a neighborly stroll. Interiors demonstrate the use of the elements of Cotswold design that are often copied in United States homes, but here retain the basic simplicity of functional design.
The paths and gardens are also scanned in this beautifully designed book. For those interested in traveling through England or for those with special interest in the Cotswold style, this book is well worth the investment. Grady Harp, May 06

I worked for the U.S. Marshals Service for 25 years. I did an extensive amount of protective services work. As in any military
or law enforcement profession, having checklists to work with is an invaluable aid to the professional. This product is an
exceptional resource that every true personal protection specialist should have on him, or very close nearby.

Texan Susannah Mack Colton asks Dr. "Tag" Taggart of the Green Mountain Veterinary Clinic to geld her horse Pookie. Though a bit reluctant to take the knife to the handsome steed, the junior partner is persuaded to perform the surgery. Not too long after that, all hell breaks out as the media descends on Vermont to learn why Tag ruined one of the three most famous racing horses of the second half of the century. Apparently, Pookie is the former Triple Crown winner Payback, who was getting his owner $400,000 per mating.
Over the next six months, Stephen Colton makes life miserable for Tag. He destroys the vet's practice and leaves Tag in near financial "death by lawsuits". Tag's efforts to apologize fail as Stephen seems to want to make him a cosmic joke. Tag decides to find Susannah, whom he catches up with in Colorado where she works as a waitress. As Tag and Susannah struggle with Stephen's thirst for unending vengeance, they fall in love with one another. Both realize that before their relationship can soar, they must demonstrate to Stephen not to mess with a duo consisting of a Texan and a South Bostonian.
The "By the Year 2000" imprint is one of the better Category romance series in recent memory. The latest entry is a warm, interesting tale that will provide sub-genre fans with much satisfaction. The lead protagonists are a zany and intelligent pair. Stephen seems to be more of a caricature than a thirsting avenging angel, but that adds to the overall entertainment. With all that going for this novel, the final twist just makes Peggy Nicholson's caper worth reading even more.
