While this book is a good effort at a concise CEN exam review guide, I find it falls short. I purchased this when we were writing our own CEN/CFRN exam review course. I found that there was little useful information in here. I also noted that some of it seemed out of date. For the price this publisher charged and the lack of usefulness (compared with other similar CEN review books) I believe that my money could have been better spent. If you're planning on passing the CDE exam, find another text to use for your study plan. This particular review guide has so many outright errors that you won't have a chance at passing unless you're already very well educated in diabetes education (and in that case, you don't need any study guide at all). With a falling pH listed as the hallmark symptom of metabolic alkalosis and 5 different vitamins named as B12, (and these are just 2 of multiple examples in the first 50 pages) this guide is sure to leave you irritated.

What a disappointment! The cards are too general and too wordy! There is a whole paragraph on the answer side of each card; nothing is condensed to the facts. Also has many questions that do not pertain to a test for CT technologists. For example "Describe how maxillofacial surgeons interact with other specialists." THIS will be on our registry exam? They do provide a neat method of studying cards, but not with these cards! Save your money!

i am this close to throwing my copy out in the trash. there is a reason there isn't a photo of the book, neither can you see inside, don't be hoodwinked!!
firstly the info seems like it was mass collected then just put together randomly, there is no order to it, and it is sometimes very ambiguous.

This guide did not have any logical sense to its information. Someone threw up information and where it landed it stayed. Each page has many topics with no logical sequence. Save your money. (Oh by the way this doesn't deseve a star at all but they made me assign it one)

I was supriced to receive it in a thin evelope. The book has little chemistry content. It's more like a book on how to deal with test for elementry school kid. I returned it right away.

This book is only 71 pages long. The first 22 and the last 21 pages are "test tips" not even information for the actual test. There are only roughly 30 pages of Health CSET info in this book, large print, not very much information. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

I would definitely not recommend this book as a study guide for the Social Sciences CSET. When I received the book I was very surprised how thin it was with so little information in it for the amount of money that it cost. I actually think that it took me about 1 ½ hours to read it from front to back with all the spacing and extra large font. When was reading it, I was surprised that there wasn't much information regarding the test itself. They never mentioned how many essays and questions were on the test, how long we have to complete it, or how it is broken down. Most of the information was general test taking information that you can find in other study guides or on the Internet. When it came to "the secrets," I had read them all before are weren't specific to the test either and pretty confusing and you would have to spend time studying all the methods that they recommend. I would rather spend time studying the content. When it came to that, they would have a term or word that could be on the test but wouldn't give a definition or any information about it. You would have to spend time looking up the information on your own, and hoping you get the right information. For example they would list, "progressivism" or John Locke" and you would have to research that term yourself. I feel that when the book cost $40 you should be given this information and not have to hunt for it using other resources. After gladly putting this book down I bought the Cliff notes CSET SS book instead and it was much better so I definitely recommend that one instead. It is about ½ the price and has 10 times the information. I just wish I bought it sooner before the test so I didn't waste any time or money with this book.

This is a poor product. Its way overpriced for vague suggestions that may apply to any test. DO NOT BUY THIS! it is totally not helpful.

This is a very poorly produced product. What a waste of time and money. It is an editing nightmare.
