Geometric Algebra (GA) is a unifying mathematical language that should be taught instead of or at least in combination with traditional vector analysis. Most other books on GA are aimed at Physicists. This book is a better match for Engineers and Programmers. The authors are all active researchers in applications of GA. They have done a comprehensive and up to date job of collecting, organizing and presenting the material for both beginners and those who follow the development of GA on the web. The examples and problems use GAViewer, an easy to learn programming language with an Open GL view window that can be downloaded for free from the book website. Using GAViewer with the book is very good way to learn GA, especially the 5D Conformal model of 3D space. The authors hold nothing back. Between the book, the code and the website everything is there to make learning GA fun and useful. I highly recommend this book.

Geometric Measure Theory: A Beginner's Guide

This thin book (175 pages) provides the newcomer or graduate student with an illustrated introduction to geometric measure theory: the basic ideas, terminology, and results. The author has included a few fundamental arguments and a superficial discussion of the regularity theory, but his goal is merely to introduce the subject and make the standard text, "Geometric Measure Theory" by Federer, more accesible. This second edition includes updated material and references, corrections, and a new chapter on soap bubble clusters.

Its contents are: Measures, Lipschitz functions and rectifiable sets, normal and rectifiable currents, the completeness theorem, area-minimizing surfaces, the approximation theorem, regualrity results, monotonicity and oriented tanget cones, flat chains, varifolds, minimal sets, soap bubble clusters.

Includes excercises, plenty of illustrations, and extensive references.

Highly useful for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in analysis and geometry. The "next step" for fractal geometers.

If you want to buy it maybe it should be better to wait for the third edition to appear by June 2000.

The Legacy of Leadership is NOT just another biography about George Washington. After attending a lecture and book signing given by the author it is obvious that this book is a labor of love reflecting years of research. As stated in the preface "The purpose of this book is to bring George Washington back into the life of all Americans." Ward Burian has certainly accomplished that and more. This book is very readable, keeps your interest and fills in all the details you have long forgotten or never knew. I especially enjoyed the information provided on all the key players of the American Revolution and how they related to washington and to each other. Ward has done a great job of tying all the pieces together. A separate chapter on "The Genealogy of George Washinton" was most enlightening as I had never seen this information presented before. The chapter "Washington's Relevancy Today" confirms that this is not just a history book but that some ideas and principles are still valid for us in the 21st century. I most highly recommend this book for everyone. Even if you think you know a lot about Washington, be assured there is much more to the story then you ever imagined.

In Today's corporate culture, there is a lack of joy, fun, laughter and most importantly feeling appreciated and valued. Get Along with Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere is a book that not only provides research and theory about how to, but offers real life and real work life situations where you can implement strategies right away.

If you want to combat shyness or learn how to stop comparing yourself to others, Sanow and Strauss show you how. If influence and persuasion are important to you, read the chapter called "Boost Your Communication IQ. You will be on the same wave length before you know it. Don't stop there, when it comes to "Prickly People", aka, difficult people, Sanow and Strauss don't let you down. When it comes to Whiners, Grumblers, and Grouches, you will be surprised how they teach you to "let go" of your own ego, give them a chance to provide solutions that can make a difference. The best part about their strategy, you don't use up any of your energy or inhale negative energy.

You won't be behind the 8 ball if you practice what Sanow and Strauss provide in Get Along with Anyone Anytime, Anywhere-8 keys to creating enduring connections with customers, co-workers... even kids!

This book was a tremedous help to me as I got ready to put a house on the market. The two most important items for me were;
1. Do not overprice your house:
I did this with another listing and lost out big time. After everyone came and looked, never to return, my listing became stale and was forgotten. I will never do that again! This book explains this very well.
2. Staging your house for sale:
I wasn't a believer in this at all. I thought people looking for a home would look past all your stuff and use their own imagination and after reading this book I realize this is not true. It is of the utmost importance to have it looking as inticing as possible and ALL the nic nacs need to be packed up and put away.
I found this book to be immensely helpful and recommend it to anyone getting ready to sell a house.

Getaway Girl (Frederick Morgan Poetry Prize Library)

A passionate collection written by an inspirational woman. In Getaway Girl, Thaxton blends her superb craft and brave sincerity to create poems that can be treasured. The language haunts: "The church is gone, the liars are dead,/ and the past takes bets on/ how many years I will hum this tune" (from "Fourth of July"). Thaxton's `hum' survives and grants a life-giving force to her experiences-and those shared by her readers; her craft sweetens the stinging imagery: "Halloween might be/ Cinderella or a ballerina I could never become-/ stain on my dress, gnashing of teeth in my hand,/ and, in my mouth, forever and ever, a lake of fire" (from "Where Hell is"). This collection is of special to interest to anyone interested in women's studies, poetry, gender, religion, and/or regionalism.

Thaxton is also a much beloved friend and activist within her local community.

Certainly a valuable gift for friends-especially remarkable women in your life.

What was the mystery behind the naunting of rancher Smoky Broster? Pinkerton detective Matt Chisholm came to the town of Welcome to find out. Who was behind the notorious Harper gang? What magnet drew men to the Crazy Mountains, sometimes to die? Chisholm had more than one brush with death before the time came to ride on. But then came the threat that was the greatest of all, and the question was, would his Colt 45, and a .5 Buffalo gun be enough to handle it?

The preface by David Mains from "Chapel of the Air" should serve as a cavaet to the lukewarm believer; "Before you read Glory Filled the Land, it's only fair for someone to post a warning sign: Let the casual reader beware!

This small quotation perfectly sums up this account of the Welsh Revival of 1904-05. Mains is assuming that if you have picked up this book you have done so because of your dissatisfaction with your spiritual life. I know that this is the reason I bought the book.

Writing to the Corinthian Church about Israel, Paul said that "these things were given to us for examples;" this is why Christians should read this book. Because it shows what the Spirit of G-d longs to do in His people.

Through each page I can feel the Holy Spirit searching my hear for all that does not please Him; at times I feel like the moth, which is both attracted to and repelled by the flame. Holiness has this effect on me.

This is a book that has to be experienced to be understood. Mains adjures the reader to "Proceed at your own risk," and rightfully so because how could any spiritually-minded person read what the Lord did during this revival and then go back to the stale walk you had with Him prior to reading this book. I can honestly say that this little book has put me mightily under conviction and, like King David said in the Psalms, "I shall be satisfied when I awake with Thy likeness."

This is a wonderful book with poetic messages that remind us that our Heavenly Father is in charge and to him Be The Glory! To read these beautiful poems is like good therapy for the heart and soul. This is a poetry book you will continue to read over and over again. It captures your attention with a gentle calmness and when you are done, you have to admit that you needed it. Thank you God for your messengers!
