I just saw these two women, Cindy Pierce and Edie Thys Morgan, put on their book show--or whatever you want to call it, the presentation they give at bookstores to promote their book--at our local bookstore. They were amazing. Hysterical and completely real and wonderful. The book is just as good. Their mantra is "Better sex for the people"--by which they mean, the late-thirties/forties plus people, the I'm to tired for sex people, the exact people who really need better sex. They remind you-- "Sometimes when you think you're not interested in sex, you have to get yourself in the mindset to get interested. And then once you get rolling, you really get interested. And then it gets good, and you never regret it."

They have all the facts you've never gathered, let alone seen put together in one place. from interviewing what they call "PBG guys"---college students, Pre Bitterness and Guilt--to what they learned from Cindy Dodson, apparently America's foremost (and probably only) seventy-some year old expert on the female orgasm and certainly not someone most women are going to consult themselves, given that she teaches hands-on classes on the subject. Like, men take four minutes to hit orgasm, women twenty--and almost anything can derail them on the way. And then they remind you that they're there, they're forty and married and have all the frustration and reasons to turn out the light and go to sleep and put sex off until another day. "This morning my husband asked me, trying to help out--do they pick up the garbage this week? What should he do, and how should he do it?

I actually finished this book days ago, but have had to take the time to sort out my feelings about it. Ms. Llywelyn has written a powerful story. She has taken the old Irish legends of Finn Mac Cool, and retold them in the form of historical fiction. Finn is presented as a larger-than-life man, one whose peculiar talents can make him and can also unmake him.

This book is an enthralling read. It contains stories of action, and stories about life. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

In my opinion, I absolutely loved this book. It was everything I loved in a good fantasy novel. It had action, magic, strong friendships, some adventure, and of course...romance. Kathleen Morgan does a wonderful job developing her characters and making the reader feel like they exist, especially Deidra. This young woman is so headstrong and so determined, yet at times it could get a little annoying, just because she was always so quick to have a sharp retort to come back with, that she sometimes wouldn't listen to the other side. The obvious attraction that Deidra and Hawkwind have for each other, though both deny it in the beginning, is so strong and passionate. I could just feel the tender emotion and love that they felt for each other. For the characters, this is a story of everlasting love that can conquer all, discovering their true identites, and with that love comes a way to heal the heart from past burdens and finally lay them to rest (you'll see what I mean if you read the book). If you love a good love story, this is the book for you!

(If you liked this book, I'd also like to recommend "Heart's Surrender" also by Kathleen Morgan. Both books are similar in that the heroine is very headstrong and speaks her mind, both are love stories, though it takes a while for the characters to admit their passion for one another, and it just kind of flows similarly as well. This book is also one of my favorites!)

If you want to read "Fire Queen", I suggest you do so when you have a lot of time, because you won't want to put it down!

I own this book and have read it at least six times. It's a tender forbidden love story. Plus a great quest for vengence & freedom. The fate of a league of planets rest on the shoulders of our two heroes. Who must complete their mission to the homeworld they both dread. Part of a series.

Very well written explanations cover such topics as roots, reproduction, and seedling development. What it lacks in depth on some subject is makes up for in variety of topics cover. The "Inside the Plant" section is detailed including diagrams of leaf cells and a discussion of stoma, xylem, and phloem. The only negative comment I could make is that the explanation of photosynthesis is not very detailed **compared to** other topics. I was impressed with the inclusion of the comment in the beginning of the book that warns young botanist not to collect wild plans even if there are lots of them. Here is a wonderful love story , as Lorrie Morgan takes you inside her personel life and inside the music world as she tries to help her wonderful singer husband Keith Whitley whom has the disease of alcoholism . You can feel and see the love they shared as well as the stress Lorrie went through as she tried to save Whitley ,and how she stood by him all the way to the end but Whitley ends up dying of an Alcohol overdose and poor Lorrie is heartbroken as she discovers what really happened the last night of his life .

Wonderful reading for those who think that the recent cult of goddess-worship is something from the distant past, or that there actually WERE matriarchies in olden times. Plus, many of the "newly-made-up Goddesses" are just plain hysterical!
