This is an excellent book on helping the reader to define his or her own goals and objectives as compared to following the path as set forth for them by parents, friends, relatives and society. This should be a must read for every youngster. Find what you are good at and then puruse a career in that direction.

Taylor Coffman is an extraordinary thinker and writer. His far-ranging mind covers both in depth and in scope a unique era and two of its most intriguing and passionately creative personalities. Mr. Coffman has a way with words that is delightfully entertaining and keenly informative. This is a five-star performance and worth every penny!

This CD is sooo cool ! I liked it because there are lots of places to visit and fun things to do. My favorites are hunting for marshmallows and fishing at the campsite. I also liked being a cashier at the grocery store. However, Farmer Soybean's farm, the schoolhouse, and the beach are really fun to explore, too. The busy world of Busytown kept me busy and interested for many hours !

I was a member of the Class of 1942 at Morgan Park Military Academy, the first class to graduate during WW-II. At age 18 and a month before graduation, I became an Aviation Cadet in the U. S. Army Air Corps. The academic and military training, described in the book, was important to all of us in the Services during the war, and our post-war careers. Teachers such as Captain Gray, featured in the book, were dedicated men who instilled an educational discipline that lasted my entire life. This book is a good primer and support for military academies at the high school level. Unfortuantely, Morgan Park got rid of the ROTC program a few years after the war ended.

Caillou and The Big Slide Encourages Trying Something New

My 2 1/2 year old was having some fear about going down the bigger slides at the park. He has never been much of a risk taker and we do not push. This is a great story of Caillou having the same anxiety, and how his daddy helps him give it a try. My son was totally involved in the story. We talked about how Caillou was feeling, and how my son felt. The next time he and dad went to the park, he wanted to go down the slide with dad "Just like Caillou". We have bought several of these books since, and they just seem to be great at opening up discussions. My Son really relates to Caillou!

In depth history and current view of Cajun and Creole music

Exceptional history and current description of Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco music. Will be appreciated both by tourists new to Louisiana culture as well as by serious connoiseurs of folk music and traditions and of French language. Barry Jean Ancelet is both a distinguished professor at the University of Louisiana (Lafayette), as well as being a Cajun "Garrison Keillor" (of Prairie Home Companion fame).

I'm not gonna lie, I went into this book expecting not to like it, but you know its one of those reads that you just have to read so after my girlfreinds talked me into it, I sat down one cold blustery afternoon curled up with a cup of tea and a copy of CCACUC:CAESP13. I mean efficiency was great before prop 13, but its like rocky 4, I mean after prop 13, everything was just boring. Its like dude, how many sequels do we need?!?!!!! Anyways, Morgan draws me in with inticing descriptions of the charges and oh man those markets are so efficient. I never thought I could be brought to tears by a proposition synopsis but boy was I wrong. Thats not to say this book is for everyone however. I would not reccomend this book to children under the age of 17. Morgans description of the current water conservation issue is downright pornographic. The picture of Morgan on the back cover leaves a little to be desired. I for one would not put my knee on a desk while preganant with a child, I mean thats bad for the baby.

A history of evangelical awakenings on college campuses
Helpful Votes: 7 out of 7 total.
Review Date: 1998-11-14
If there was ever a time when the academic communities of the world needed the experience of heavens opened and the rain of God's blessedness poured down, it is now. Beginning with a history of higher education's strong evangelical heritage, Orr covers the many campus awakening movements both in the United States and abroad, weaving throughout an historical narrative of period conditions. Closing chapters are devoted to discussion of the pattern and theology of college revivals. In addition to a complete bibliography, this new work includes a thorough index, making it invaluable to students of revival.
