"Finally! A credible and definitive guide to the inner workings of network marketing that demystifies the whats, whys and hows of the corporate side of the industry. Angela Moores Building a Successful Network Marketing Company effectively lays out the crucial concepts, components and systems that separate the here-today-gone-tomorrow schemes from the long term successful network marketing companies. The approach is professional, the content rich and it provides an invaluable resource to start-up and mature direct selling businesses and executives. This book is a must to put the form and function of network marketing management into perspective. It is at the head of my client "required reading" list.

A number of books have been written by networkers and industry executives that address the subject from varying perspectives and degrees of experience. Each of them add their contribution to the literature base, but none gives a more complete treatment and clear picture of what it takes to establish and operate a successful MLM business. This book can save readers immeasurable time and expense. The thoughtful reader will find the breadth of content makes this a vital resource reference book for every department and executive/staff member of their business.

Ms. Moore writes from a wealth of personal experience, yet judicially accesses the experts in those areas where here experience can be strengthened by collaboration. Her access to the industrys top advisors and executive professionals further speaks of the breadth of her experience and understanding of the operational elements of the business.

While the treatment is focused on the corporate side of the industry, direct selling distributors and network marketing leaders will find the information enlightening and will be better able to form the field to company partnerships that supercharge their own and the corporations success and longevity. Field leaders will do well to study the text to better understand the critical support service dimension of the business to better create the synergy of field and corporate relationships.

Thanks Angela. Building a Successful Network Marketing Company will undoubtedly help many companies do just that."

Great MLM Business Book...

Review Date: 2002-09-08
This is probably the best book I have read on the multilevel marketing industry to date. Although small in size, it is absolutely packed with valuable information.

Despite the title's name, this book is valuable to everyone who is involved in MLM, not just those contemplating starting their own MLM company. Its straightforward writing style and well researched text are a refreshing change from the many mindless motivational books available in the MLM industry today.

Although the book is pro-MLM in general, it does not gloss over any aspects of the industry, or try to sell it as a get-rich-quick panacea. It mainly seems to be aimed at businesspeople new to the industry, who are trying to understand it for the very first time. It's not written for "MLM junkies", but for professionals who actually want to learn the real ins and outs of the business. An informative background of MLM's history is included, as is a look at what differentiates MLM's from traditional business models.

Probably the most fascinating aspect of the book is the insider's view it gives on how MLM's are formed. It lays-out the requirements for an MLM to be successful, as well as explain the elements that all (successful) MLMs have in common. It practically gives you a blueprint of how all MLM's are formed, and how they are successfully run. This isn't the type of information you will find in typical MLM books.

Other valuable parts of the book include a look at the legalities of MLM, most common mistakes made by MLMs, structuring the sales organization, compensation plans, product selection and more.

If you buy only one book on multilevel marketing, this should be it. It is well written, well researched and contains a treasure trove of valuable information.

A MUST for any suppliers to Network Marketing Companies.

I stumbled across this book while shopping, and I'm just sorry Laura Moore doesn't have more books in print. I enjoyed "Ride a Dark Horse", but I liked this one even more. If you haven't already read it, you should give it a try. I think you'll like it. I just can't wait for Laura's next book to come out...

This author's first novel,Ride A Dark Horse was very good, but this book is my favorite, it leaves me looking forward to this new author's next book. The story was well paced and kept my interest very high. I was sorry that it ended...not many books do that. I am giving it a hostess gifts this holiday season.

I loved Chance Meeting and am looking forward very much to the next book. Could it be about Lizzie and Sam?
I enjoyed how the characters from Ride a Dark Horse were tied into this book. It only took me four hours to read it, it was that good. I am a horse owner and I love to read so naturally I look for the "horsey" romances. I hope to see many more from Laura Moore!

Well written with good horsey detail

I really enjoyed this book. It's well-written in general, and has a terrific background in the American "A" hunter-jumper circuit. The author clearly knows her horses, because the details are unusually accurate, which makes it a pleasure to read if you're a horse lover. (Her other novel, Ride a Dark Horse, is similarly excellent.)

The romance is fun and pleasantly steamy, and the characters stay pretty smart throughout - there are no painfully stupid moments to read through. There are occasional plot conveniences (in particular Ty would've been very well known on the circuit) but none too jarring.

I especially liked the scene with the car keys.

Both have intresting pasts and present about how they deal with the Shen>. And as an added bonus it has Great art work (even though a little graphic) but still "DA BOMB". Now if only they rest of the World of Darkness was Anime.....

Demon Hunter X details a lot of information for running a Kindred of the East campaign for Vampire. The Shih are well detailed as is Strike Force Zero, and one is hard pressed to choose which to play. Not everyone takes the Shen lying down, and both the Shih and SF0 are at odds on how to truly deal with these demons. A great opening story and lot of info on how the Shih and SF0 hunt down and destroy the Shen, this book is highly recommended to anyone even remotely interested in the hunters in the Middle Kingdom.

Mary Moore is a masterful writer. As I was reading Enchanted Lands, I gave my students updates on the adventures of Yappy-Yo-Yo. They were enthralmazed. I am in deepmiration. The word play was such fun to read, and tempting to imitate. I can see a whole series. It must have been fun to write. The references to the Indian Tribes gives it that special little hook that other novels lack. I loved the book. I hope Mary Moore is cranking out the next adventure of the Zozoan Force?

Harry Potter, move over! Chili Bear Claw is a new preteen hero on the scene of fantasy/science fiction books. But Mary and Stephen Moore's book is unique because of the large helping of Native American lore in the story. The "mission" in Enchanted Lands: The Mission is to get Roswell, New Mexico's famous aliens back to their home planet. To accomplish this, Chili, his buddy Mac, and Emily the talking greyhound, have all sorts of wild adventures. Talking animals, Apache reservation ceremonies, travels beneath earth's surface via the heart-stopping "whurzle," and magic stones are only parts of this exciting, clever book. Middle schoolers can read it for themselves, and it's a great read-aloud for upper elementary. This is a book parents and grandparents will enjoy with their children. Smart, funny, thoughtful. Highly recommended!

Sacrificial Love Lived Out

It moves my heart to know that there are still young couples who are giving their lives to reach unreached peoples for Jesus Christ. This is the story of Carrie and David McDonall and their shared love for the Arab people. Carrie was a missionary in Israel and David was a missionary in Jordan. This is the story of how God brought them together, and how they paid the ultimate price for their Lord and Savior in ministry for Him in Iraq.

My prayer is that you will read this book and be challenged to serve the Lord with the same sacrificial love for people that Carrie and David had for people. It's a great book and one of the most touching books I've read this year.

A story of love, courage, and survival. Carrie McDonnall was the only survivor of five in March, 2004, in Iraq although shattered with 22 bullet wounds and untold amounts of shrapnel. She tells the story of the love and loss of her husband David. Married less than a year and risking their lives to help the citizens of Iraq in their suffering, Carrie, David and three other American Missionaries were surrounded in a busy city and shop at point blank range. It was a miracle Carrie survived and this is truly an inspiring, exciting and heartwarming story.

A love story and a call to serve Christ
Helpful Votes: 11 out of 11 total.
Review Date: 2005-09-30
An international relief worker and missionary since 1999, Carrie McDonnall fell in love with the Middle East and married a man with the same passion, David, in 2002. On March 15, 2004, the couple, along with three other aid workers, spent the day surveying the needs at a refugee camp in northern Iraq. On their way back into the safe zone in Kurdish-held territory, militants ambushed their truck and Carrie would be the only one to survive.

FACING TERROR, written by Carrie with help from popular author Kristin Billerbeck, recounts the harrowing events of the day that would forever change her life. But far from being a cautionary tale, FACING TERROR is a call to serve Christ wherever one lives and is, at its core, a love story --- a story of love between a man and a woman, and a story of the love those two people shared for the Arab world.

David and Carrie met in Bethlehem on New Year's Day 2000. Despite the location, it was a rather inauspicious start to their romance. Introduced by fellow "journeymen," Carrie spent the time mistakenly calling David "Nathan" and thought little about him when the holiday was over. But when they were re-introduced several months later at a sports camp for local youth, she took more notice. "There was a spark within him that just lit up the dark sky. He was genuinely warm and friendly, he was a wonderful storyteller, and he was funny. I hoped this wasn't the last time we'd met, and although I can't say my romantic pursuits were obvious, I didn't want this man just to walk out of my life," she writes.

During that stage of their ministries, Carrie was living out of a converted shipping container in Israel's West Bank and David was traveling all over Africa and the Middle East. They exchanged emails and the relationship deepened through what would become sometimes-daily missives. At the same time, both had a deepening sense of love for and calling to the Muslim people of the Middle East. "David asked what I would do after I finished my term of service in Israel. I told him that I would return home to attend seminary and then come back to the region to work among Arab-speaking Muslims. He then asked how I came to that decision. I explained that it was nothing I had decided --- the Lord had just put a passion for these people within me and anything different would mean being disobedient to Him."

She continues, "He seemed surprised to find a girl who wanted to live in such a strict culture and shared with me the experiences he had seen the girls on his team go through. David then told me of his love for Sudan and some of his adventures. He said that he too felt called back to this area, but didn't know exactly where --- just that it was with Arab-speaking Muslims."

The couple spent two years getting to know each other, and FACING TERROR follows what each of them were doing in their individual ministries as they grew closer and closer to one another. Of primary concern for both of them was that their desire for each other not usurp the call each of them felt to mission work, so they took their time before making the decision to marry. Once they did, in Texas, the couple put their energies into getting back onto the mission field, and the book provides an engrossing account of the days that lead up to March 15, 2004.

Carrie is inspirational; there's no two ways about it. On top of losing her husband and three dear friends, her own body was gravely injured in the attack and she's had to undergo multiple surgeries to restore all that can be restored. And yet, there is a glow in her face, in her eyes, that reflects a passion for Christ that pain and suffering can't diminish. I saw it when I met her in person last summer, and I can see it in the pages of her book.

"I live my life without David, but am grateful for the time I had with him," she writes. "The world is not our place of rest; it is a time to work and follow hard after Jesus. When we get home, we can rest. But for now, God is calling his children to share the gospel of the cross, the power of our Holy Father; it's time we obediently follow Him. May we all live our lives in a manner worthy of the calling we have received in Christ Jesus. May we live lives we will never regret." Amen.

This book gives a very heartwarming and interesting insight to what people that happen to be missionaries have seen and experienced in a world most of us will never have an opportunity to visit. All we hear is the media's version of what is going on in third world countries. This book gives us an everyday feel for what is truly going on and the happiness and goodness that occurs as well. My heart goes out to Carrie and her and David's family and the trauma and tradgedy that she has experienced and will continue to experience for a very long time. Thank you for sharing your world with us and may God continue to bless you!

As one who has lived many years in seven different Middle Eastern countries (including Jordan and Lebanon) and who is a Christian but not a missionary, I can greatly recommend Carrie's book for more than its wonderful love story between Carrie and David. Her descriptions of life in that area are real. By that I mean she describes wonderfully and accurately experiences many of us have lived. Her descriptions are an excellent way to get a "feel" for that part of the world that one cannot get from the general media and current events. I found myself nodding in recognition continually and wanting to run out for more books to send to friends, saying "This is what I have been trying to tell you for so many years!"
I too have met her briefly and heard her speak. My friends in Jordan knew her and David well. The greater love story to hear is her love for Christ and her willingness to be used for His purposes. I will watch with interest to see what else He has for this remarkable young woman.

I was pleased to find this book which gives quite a bit more detail than the huge regional campground books (Woodall's, etc.). Looking up some campgrounds that we'd already tried (Lazy Days and St. Augustine), I could see it captures the character of the place and lets you know what to expect.
This will be invaluable for us as we explore Florida with our motorhome.

Our Favorite Florida Campground Guide!

Review Date: 2006-11-02
As indicated by other reviewers, the Foghorn series of campground guides is not without flaws. Even so, we know of no directories which do a better job of addressing campground aesthetics than these wonderful guides. In our experience, the look and feel of a campground is often the single greatest factor influencing the quality of a camping experience . . . and the factor totally ignored by nearly all other campground guides.

There are a number of directories which rate facilities, provide directions, tell you how to make reservations and give you an idea of the cost for a night's stay in a specific campground. This series gives similar basic information and then goes beyond that. The Foghorn guides actually give you a feel of what it is like to stay in a specific campground - a bit of a narrative description and a "scenic beauty rating" for each campground plus information about nearby recreation opportunities. We like that a lot.

Have we found instances where we liked a campground more or less than the book's author? Of course. Tastes differ and things change over time. Even so, we would rather have an admittedly subjective rating of a campground's intangibles than to have nothing to go on but a recitation of facts and figures.

Are the Foghorn Outdoors guides the only ones we use? No. But they are ALWAYS the first place we turn when selecting a destination campground.

This book was not quite written for my life. I have gone past this part of dealing with the pain in my life. I appreciate the no nonsense approach she brings. We are hurting, but can act to improve our lives. She is very encouraging. I gave this to a friend who can get more from it than I.

Very Nice! Love the Devotions! Beth Moore is an inspiration!

I love how Elaine Moore described the characters . In most books everything always goes right , I don't like that, but this book didn't. it was so funny , espically when they found out she was a girl.

When reading Leslie Moore's 'God Songs', it's like talking to a very close friend. Your friend speaks, and you find yourself noding your head in agreement. You think, "Wow, that's just how I feel too". Or you say to yourself, "I thought I was the only one who felt like that." And if she speaks of an experience that you've not had yet, you find yourself reaching out in empathy with her.

The book is timeless, because it addresses issues that every generation experiences. I highly recommend this book.

I truly enjoyed this book of poems. It is a great read! This writer truly dedicated their time and effort into creating a book of emotions and thoughts to share with others. It really makes you think about the choices you've made in life and how to go about correcting a lot of issues you've had in the past , and even the one's you may be having in the present. Creates a need to better yourself emotionally and become one with GOD!
