I thought this book was really good. Amazon has it listed as a book for baby/preschool but i think its more for the preteen set. There aren't any pictures and a young child would get bored if you read it to her.

Despite the fact that i am 33 and finished the book in a few minutes--i still learned a little bit about my sun sign and myself. Its a little dated when it comes to listing famous geminis but i was thrilled to learn that I share gemini traits with the likes of Gauguin, Emerson, Whitman and Socrates!

An informative, superbly written political biography.

In Search Of Peace, George Mitchell, Alberta Gould offers a compelling and informative biography of the former Democratic Senator from Main, George Mitchell. Originally appointed in 1980 by Maine's Governor Joseph Brennan to fill the unexpired term of Senator Edmund Muskie, Mitchell won his own seat in the United State Senate at the next election. Upon serving eight years in that august body, Mitchell was made Senate Majority Leader, after the President, the most powerful political position in the country. While an excellent political biography, Gould reveals George Mitchell as an outstanding and dedicated humanitarian which would eventually lead him to a post-senatorial role of international peace maker in Northern Ireland.

"Superb, well-written, eye-opening survey of the exciting worldwide movement to cut individual and business taxes. The flat tax, in particular, is gaining momentum, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. Depressingly, the United States, once the leader in tax cutting, is now lagging. This masterpiece may not wake up myopic Washington, but it will arouse the American people to demand action!"
Steve Forbes, CEO of Forbes and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine

"Globalization is confronting governments with an increasingly competitive fiscal environment. Investors now have many choices among competing country tax climates. Global Tax Revolution shows that countries ignore this reality at their peril."
Vernon L. Smith, Nobel Laureate in Economics

"This well-researched book provides a strong and clear message about the need for tax reform in an era of rising globalization. Taxpayers, business leaders, policy experts, and members of Congress need to read this book."
Edward C. Prescott, Nobel Laureate in Economics

"Chris Edwards and Dan Mitchell take the reader on a fascinating world tour of tax reforms since the 1980s and make a strong case that U.S. policymakers need to follow the lead of the two dozen nations that have adopted simple, pro-growth flat tax systems."
Alvin Rabushka, Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution at Stanford University

"Edwards and Mitchell provide a warning to Americans that their future prosperity rests on leadership in tax reform and strong support of international tax competition."
Walter E. Williams, Professor of Economics, George Mason University

"Global Tax Revolution reveals how dramatic tax reforms are being implemented abroad thanks to foreign leaders who recognize that pro-growth policies keep the entrepreneurial geese who lay the golden eggs of prosperity from flying away."
Dick Armey, former Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives

I find it very interesting that, as of this typing, Amazon has this book linked with Byron Katie's book called "A Thousand Names for Joy." I am sure that the reason for this is that the co-author of her book is her husband who also happens to be the very well-known Stephen Mitchell. However, they are not the same guy. The author of "God in the Bath" is a priest from England. Byron Katie's husband is the translator of such classics as the "Tao Te Ching" and the "Bagavad Gita." I have not read this book, but I am rating it 5 stars because Amazon could be leading some "newbies" to the wonderful Byron Katie, and that is worth all the stars in the universe.

"God Is a Rubber Duck" is a great first novel from an author who is destined to be a name in the mystery field. I suspect the only reason this novel was self-published was to get it in front of the public prior to the 2008 Elections. The story could have the effect of reducing the strangeness factor for Barack Obama.

Whatever Mr. de Mello's possible political motives, this novel rocks. It combines dry humor, slap stick, and the absurd with wry observations and an intriguing mystery. The story's dogged hero, Matt Eider, (a character that would have been perfect for a younger James Garner) is engaging and thoughtful, and he is surrounded by a host of fully-developed minor characters that provide some of the story's best moments. You would swear this story was ripped from the headlines of a newspaper--a newspaper published in Wonderland.

In the setup of the story, Mr. de Mello foreshadows the possibility of having at least four more novels featuring Matt Eider and the crew at the Chaos Café Bar and Grill. I certainly hope he is currently working on number two.

The third thrilling novel in the action-packed "Gold Lust" series, Gold Fire sets forth a harrowing prospect: Khalid Jafar, son of Osama bin Laden, has stolen nuclear warheads from Russia's Strategic Rocket Forces. Is his peace offer to end global terrorism sincere, or will he wreak mass devastation upon Washington D.C., Moscow, and Tel Aviv? The Russian and American military cannot locate the missing warheads, and Senator Nolen Martin is declared to be a traitor for negotiating with the terrorists. As the attack deadline draws closer, the senator charges FBI agent Cholo Cantera to team up with an Israeli counterterrorism unit to locate the missing weapons. Time is running out in this dramatic saga.
