This was truly a fascinating story that grabs the reader from the very beginning and forces you to continue reading. The descriptions of events and innocence of Phineas left me feeling afraid for him, sad for him, and because it read so real, I sometimes wondered if the author really experienced these things. It was easy to place myself in the book and experience many emotions as events played out. The climax made my mouth drop open and then gasp! I place this spooky book right up there with stories by authors like Stephen King. If produced properly this book would make a great horror movie. It should be a horror movie!

This book was fascinating. My previous understanding of James Madison was that he caved to political pressure and started the War of 1812. When I read about his thoughtful and brilliant additions to our Constitution, I realized *again* how special our founding fathers were.

A Father's Heart spoke to my heart. Alice Mitchell reveals a sensitive tale of yearning, love and redemption woven into a slice of real history. Transported back to the early 1930s, I enjoyed sharing a year in the life of an endearing child who revealed her true grit while struggling to unravel the secret of her missing father.
This high spirited young lady reminded me time and again, that simple faith and prayer are powerful touchstones. A well-crafted book from start to finish; it carries a potent message with undercurrents that reach across time. Top notch!

Millers is a clear, concise book and very well organized. My experience in the past with antique books is that there are very few photos of the items they are describing. This format is great if you already know the basics about antiques but it makes in almost impossible for a beginner to identify and price items just from a description. Millers provides tons of colour photos, with brief descriptions of what items were used for, what makes them valuable, what things devalue them and an estimate value. This format makes for quick and easy identification of hundreds of pieces. This is the perfect beginner/intermediate antique resource guide.

This novel uses the backdrop of a sci-fi thriller to tell a sweet love story. The main character, James, is paranoid, jittery, and you wonder why at first. But as the novel progresses, his fears all make sense. This novel moved quickly and kept my interest throughout. If you like sci-fi action, this book is for you. If you like a different type of love story, this book is also for you.

This book was great. The stars in the book were very candid and insightful. I was encouraged by the way that everyone in the book made it seem so easy to get in shape and stay healthy. I would definently recommend this to anyone who is new to getting and staying in shape.

John Hanson Mitchell obviously, truly loves this subject (as well as his land). He lovingly explores all parts of a small plot of land & the myriad creatures that live & interact there to create a whole ecosystem. He pulls together all the parts in a very entertaining & readable field guide to observing nature.

I read it when it first came out. "The Jet-propelled Couch" is one of the most brilliant pieces of analysis-cum-imagination I have ever seen and perfectly fits this time. It gets more relevant as the years go by.
