Like the rest of Oxford's History of England series, McKisack's book is a classic. It is thorough, well-indexed, and a pleasure for both casual reading and serious research. It's good to know that the book is still in print.

This is a powerful book about a case that I have not heard much about until I found this book at a garage sale. I really find it hard to believe that in a country like Canada, the citizens of Sydney were so maligned. Even though it has been a few years since this book was written, there still hasn't been much development in the treatment of the waste.

The book is 200 plus pages of anecdotes about Florida and Georgia, from the Civil War to the mid 20th Century. Life for the common folk was difficult, and government was as much parasite, then as now. I enjoyed it as much as Volume ONE.

Alcott is mostly remembered for her wholesome books for children, but she shows another side with her set of melodramatic and suspenseful stories. Many are tragic, while a few have happy endings, but all will keep a reader interested

This is a beautifully written novel about 4 women searching for answers and find them in ways they'd never have imagined. Every character becomes real. I had a hard time putting this book down and recommend it to anyone who thought it sounded interesting enough to scroll down and read this.

This book is really fun to read and quite interesting. The contrast between the two journals drives home the fact that LMA was just a little girl embarking on this experiment with her family. What a good sport she was! While based on actual events, the story is fictional. I think this is a good place to start if your not quite sure you want to read Little Women (you'll want to!). This book would be a great jumping-off point if you were looking to get someone interested in LMA and her works.

Although this is about the Gemini calendar, it applies to all signs.

I have enjoyed the Gemini Page-A-Day calendars for several years. I do not base my daily activities on the horoscopes, but it is interesting to read at the end of the day. Of course, we can make our experiences fit the messages, but some days would have been easier if I'd just read the calendar and thought about the Scorpio Moon that might cause me to be "reactive."

Many times the messages are filled with good advice, such as:
Take your creativity outside.
Enjoy nature's beauty.
Restore peace in your heart.
Do not rest on your laurels.
Take advantage -- it is a good time for new business.

Another feature that I really enjoy is "The birthdate of . . ." notations. I am writing this review on October 3, 2001. Did you know that Chubby Checker (1941), Michael Hordern (1911), and Thomas Wolfe (1900) share this birthdate? Occasionally I will research the individuals just for fun.

Thomas Wolfe is one of the most highly acclaimed writers of the twentieth century
Michael Horndern is a veteran of over 100 films and was given the title Sir in 1983.
Chubby Checker introduced "The Twist" in 1961, which was one of the biggest dances of the century.

I have fun with this calendar. To me it is 5 Stars.

This audio tape is wonderful! I enjoyed every second. Bought it for a road trip with some friends and we ended up ordering their tapes during the trip and listening to them on the way back laughing when the tape nailed each of us to a "T." The tape is easy to follow and understand and the music throughout the tape even seemed to fit my sign. This is a great tape, don't think twice, for yourself, for gifts, whatever!
