This is the required course book for studying Public International Law in many spanish-speaking Universities. It is a great book, easy to follow, quite comprehensive and a good bibliography source.

This book ( which I read in my imperfect spanish) was a tale of a little known character in history who died at 22 after nearly 7 years of constant pregnancies. She was an attractive girl, with great value as a dynastic pawn. Bargained off as part of a peace treaty, she was married to Philip II by proxy at the age of 13 and was sent to Spain at 14, barely able to speak Spanish and her husband, preoccupied, cold and nearly twice her age was uncomfortable with speaking French. Her underlying health problems ( nephritis caused by childhood scarlet fever) made the life of constant pregnancies, and given the limited understanding of her inherent weakness, made the life for which she was destined, certain death. She endured constant illness, importuning from her mother by a barrage of letters, and a distant husband.

The book has excellent full-color illustrations and several good essays. Had I paid full price for this book I would have wanted it to be thicker with a great deal more information, however it is a good overview of several of the artist's works.

Kenny Gill played in Davis' band and got to know the politician/singer personally. Gill's book is valuable because he captures the human side of Jimmie Davis very well, particularly his humor. A very enjoyable read and one recommended for those who want to gain insight into both Davis and country humor.

You will enjoy and easily follow along the journey from the earth plane into the spiritual plane through Gayle Rose. This extraordinary woman has overcome MANY obstacles in her short lifetime and she is a great inspiration. It's easy to see that we are all on the "right path" and that anything is possible.

We used this book in my fourth grade classroom to present a puppet show. We made a back stop and the kids made puppets with various different features. We taped the story and as the tape played the puppets performed. Very cute, multi-cultural, and the kids had a blast!

J like this kind of books...

The book was a gift to me on my birthday from a friend. At first, I had my doubts about reading it.... I was about to return it for another book.... however, just being curious, I flipped through the first few pages and they caught my attention. The authors were able to do a very well-informed book, seeing all themes from all aspects. The hypothesis were all well-researched. It is a very educational book as well. As I read, I was able to remember some of the history of the world and learned new information tool.

This edition of L'Espagnol sans peine quickly immerses you in the language and culture of Spain. Within a few chapters, you have learned not only the hellos and goodbyes, but also about going out for tapas, what Spaniards eat for breakfast and why the word for you is Usted. Do note that this is a book for French speakers. This leads to quirks like introducing the present perfect (equivalent to the French passé composé) early on, even though in Spanish you're more likely to use the preterit (simple past) to talk about past events. Still, this is a great offering to get comfortable with the Spanish language.

Es una buena novela historica sobre la vida de Juana la Loca, quien fue hija de Isabel la Catolica y madre del emperador Carlos V, dos personajes muy importantes en la historia y desarrollo de Europa y America. Por que la llamaban Loca? Entre otras cosas, por el amor obsesivo que tenia por su marido, incluso despues de muerto. Hay autores que afirman que si estaba loca, aunque esta autora de otra explicacion sobre su aparente locura. No se las voy a contar, leanla, no se van a arrepentir.
