The book is clear and has solid ideas on transforming our education from one that teaches children to be dominated by their "superiors" to one that encourages them to find and express themselves powerfully and nonviolently. If all educators would read this book I believe that it would lead to a more peaceful and healthy world.

The audio series like the book leaves no doubt in the listener's mind that GOD definitely had HIS divine hand upon our nation. This is a must read/listen for every Christian, every Christian home schooler, and every citizen of the United States of America! It should be mandatory reading in US History classes; as well as for every Representative and Senator that goes to Washington. Hopefully, then we would have less 'relativism' for at least they would know in their minds that a GOD to fear is looking down on their sometimes liberal agendas. Perhaps in time their hearts may understand their CREATOR in a whole new way.

This book has been an inspiration and has given me great delight at what can and has been achieved through prayer power in Northern Ireland.Through one mans faith in the Lord Jesus Christ he has set up a place which can offer hope for the people of Northern Ireland. I would encourage any one to read this book or its sequel "THE SEERS HOUSE" and may be it will change their lives also.

I have not read this book but I have heard the author tell about some of her experiences. I would like to purchase a copy of this book.

Dorian Cirrone's LINDY BLUES: THE BIG SCOOP provides ages 7-10 with the story of a missing ice cream shop. Reporter Lindy Blues finds the whole disappearance - and reapparance - puzzling. In fact, the scoop she hopes for in solving the puzzle seems long in coming. Liza Woodruff provides fun black and white drawings to pair with this story of intrigue and just desserts. While color might have made these more compelling, kids seeking easy reads above the picture book level will find the plots involving.

This is a very fine collection of five short essays dealing with how the context of language determines understanding and shapes human knowledge. Weinrich is a philologist, linguist,and commentator on human behavior of great insight, learning, and rhetorical skill. The title is clever but the first essay ("The Linguistics of Lying") should be read as only an introduction to the pleasure of reading the other four essays, each of which provides concise insights into language, communication, and human understanding. I hope this translation is but the first of many works by Weinrich that will become available in English.

The Truth: I'm a Girl, I'm Smart and I Know Everything As a positive psychologits who has developed a new paradigm for the treatment room, explained in The Enchanted Self, A Positive Therapy, designed to encourage hope, optimism and to specifically help women and girls use their strengths, talents, copins skills, and potential, even lost potential, to build happiness, purpose and meaning into their lives, I was thrilled to come across Listening with Heart. This book is filled with the wisdom that women need to hold on to themselves, their dreams and the 'songs of the soul' that they wish to sing. The book carefully explains how we are all influenced by programming that happens outside of ourselves in society and can so easily give up the destiny that is rightfully ours. In particular, girls are given help, via the ways that Ms. Diane and Mr. Marshall, teach their mothers, to understand the 'storm' of growing up as a teenager and how not to give in to the passions of that period of time that may not serve them well emotionally, socially or physically.
This is a very dense book with a tremendous amount of social and emotioanl material, plus a spiritual perspective that is uplifting. I would suggest that women, guidance counselors, therapists, junior and high school teachers, all take the time to read this book. As the authors say, "The Lady is on Stage and se is Getting Ready to Sing" on p. 104. Let's make sure us women and the next generation of girls, all sing!

This book is a cultural introduction into the people, culture, and history of Lietuva (Lithuania). Any title under Cultures of the World Series is usually very good and this title for Lithuania is reasonably good. This book is good for kids and adults as well that are interested in learning about this Baltic country.

This is a fascinating book about an unusual character whose decisions had a strong impact on the history of Ireland, South Africa, Britain and Western Europe. Professor Richard Holmes has meticulously researched the life of General John French, and has a broad understanding of the times in which General French lived. Richard Holmes writes really well and this is an informative and entertaining book.

The illustrations are classic and a wonderful story line. The art work and story will be enjoyed by many ages!
